Curve :: Cannot Transfer Music From PC To Blackberry
Oct 4, 2012
I cannot transfer music from my PC to my blackberry. It tells me that the music is copyright although most of is is my own music. I am told that I must have "ticked' a box when I first loaded the blackberry...how do I un tick this box and how do I start to hear my music on my blackberry (It will not even let me download APS as they are "copyright".
I am trying to transfer music files from my device memory to my media card, I have read that I need to go to Media>Explore - which I have managed to do in the past. I tried doing it recently and I can not find the Explore option.
I just got my blackberry. I wanted to put some music on it. So I plugged it in to my computer (windows, running windows 7) and it says device not recognized. A message box came up with this: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems.(Code 43) and says it is an unknown device.
Recently purchased a Belkin Micro USB Bluetooth dongle, plugged into my Vaio and installed drivers that came with the CD.
currently running Windows 7, and I can pair the phone...the usb dongle works, however, when transferring music files wirelessly it stops at anything under 30%. I have tried unisntalling the bluetooth drivers and installing others but to no avail...i get the same hanging problem.I can transfer photos no problem, click to send via bluetooth on laptop, set the phone to receive but no luck with music files.
My hard drive recently expired, taking all of my music with it, though it is still on my phone. Is there a way to safely download from the Blackberry to the new drive or an external (lesson learned)? One computer guy told me the phone may sync to the computer (which has nothing) and effectively lose what's on the phone.
I am trying to transfer music to my N900 device but Ovi Music tells me it is connected in the wrong mode. It says" unplug your device and reconnect it, a menu will appear, and depending on the model, use one of the following: Media Player, Printing and Media and Media Transfer. The problem is that no menu appears on the screen of the N900. What should I do?
I have a Nokia 5800 express music. I had some trouble with it, when I turned it on, it just startet vibrating without starting, so I got that fixed. Now it won't update or transfer music. Since I got it back from the Nokia store, it have not been working with update on my computer. While it was repaired I also installed Windows 7.
OK, so we all know Ovi player is, uummm, a bit flaky?I've given up trying to use it and am now using Windows Media Player to transfer music to my X6. This works absolutely fine other than getting the album art onto the phone.
I recently got a Kingston 16GB Class 4 microSD (from a reputable source - not ebay - and yes it is a genuine 16GB microSD) for my N8 and want to transfer my music to it, to free up space for photos and video on the phone itself. What I thought should be a simple process, thanks to Nokia, has turned out to be a non-trivial exercise.I naively copied my MUSIC folder to the microSD (F), and then deleted the MUSIC folder on the E drive, and refreshed the library. It went through the process of seemingly refreshing for ages, number of tracks clocking up, but then told me the music library was corrupt and showed nothing. After playing for a while, I decided to reverse the process, put my music back on E and deleted the MUSIC folder from the F drive. Refreshed library and I was back to square one (thankfully), and everything worked as before, but, of course, I still hadn't got my music across to the microSD.
Then I searched these forums and found loads of people had had the same problem. It seems that, (as is often the case) the refresh of the library has bugs, and keeps old files somewhere on the device that should be deleted by the refresh process for it to work properly, but hang around causing problems (thanks Nokia - your software guys strike again)Despite trying to find these 'private' folders, they do not appear to be anywhere on any drive on my N8 (and, yes, I did have show hidden files set)
So, simple question is, how can I successfully transfer my music to the microSD so that it just works? Do i have to delete all 1400 tracks and reload them onto the F drive, and if I do this, will it sort the library problem. Ideally I would appreciate a tried and tested method from someone who has actually DONE it, as I don't want to screw my N8.
My brothers computer broke. It was a PC. But he had his iPhone synced with it. So now he wants to get the music he lost in that computer to download to his new computer. But the music he purchased is on his iPhone, and the computer wont let him transfer the music from his iPhone, to his new computer. It tells him this music was synced with a different library and won't let him transfer the music.
Does anyone know a work around for this. I know he is using a PC, but I figure, and Apple user, who brakes his Laptop(I'm not talking about crashing, I am talking about actually braking, it was smashed basically), would run into the same problem, your iPhone has Music that was synced with another Library, and it wont let you move the music to the new library. Even though this music was all purchased with the same Apple ID, that doesn't seem to matter. Now, I know that one of the new features of iTunes lets you re-download music you purchased and may have lost, without having to purchase it again. But none of the music from that broken laptop appears in that list of re-downloadable music. All was purchased from iTunes.
Is it just me, or is bb, at this day and age, lacking the most basic function of syncronizing or at least transferring one's bookmarks to and from one's desktop? Seriously, the function supported by every single mobile phone out there?? Seriously???
I've been searching for almost half an hour now and still nothing...
I've got a blackberry 9780 and have upgraded to a 9790, I know to get all my messages, contacts etc I need to back up my phone and restore it onto my new one, but I was wondering do I need to add my email accounts before I restore my messages (this includes e-mails) onto my new phone?
I took some videos, which are stored on the phone (Blackberry Torch 9800). How do I copy/transfer the videos from the phone to the micro SD card. In the future I will change the setting so that the videos are stored on the Sd card, but for now I just need to copy them from the device to the card.
The manual talks about transferring files from a PC to the phone but no mention about phone to micro SD card.
Been using BlackBerry phones for a long time. Recently bought the priv - while it's a great phone I cannot stand android. So thinning of selling it and buying the lumia 950.
I'm wondering is there a way to transfer contents from priv to Windows phone?
I want to transfer pictures, sms and whatsapp mainly.
I returned my Blackberry for repair and received a new Blackberry. However, my contact list was not moved to the new phone. At Swisscom (swiss provider) they told me to obtain this at the Desktopmanager at Blackberry's website. But now I am lost, do not know what/where to do?
I am currently using the bold 9780 and I'm upgrading to the new bold 9900 and I was wondering if you could transfer all of my blackberry messenger contacts to my new phone. I have 187 bbm contacts and writing them all down and adding them back one by one is definitely not an option I'm willing to make.
I originally bought some music tracks via Nokia Music on my 5530. I did this on the phone and not via my P.C etc. I now have bought a Lumia 710 and signed in to Nokia music on it. I assumed it would recognise any music I had bought and ask me if I want to transfer it? But of course, it doesn't seem to. I have a backup of my 5530 in the Ovi suite, but the Lumia uses Zune. I am confused now as to the easiest way to get the music off my 5530 and on to the Lumia.
how to transfer my contacts from my BB Bold to my BB Torch... I have like 150 contacts and don't want to do them manually... I'm not hooked to an enterprise anything
I have recently received a new phone and am in the process of setting up the new one (Galaxy S5). I had my contacts and photos transferred from my old phone (Blackberry Q10) to the new one at the store, but forgot all about my calendar (duh!) ... Is there any way for me to transfer my calendar from the old one to the new one or do I need to return to the store and beg (nicely) for them to move that information as well? Or, worse, do I need to manually transfer it myself?
