I've gone through step by step to change my apple id primary email.Â
I clicked 'edit' put the new email address in. All three green lights indicating all is good. Click save... and it reverts back to the old email address.
What am I doing incorrectly??

How do I change it back?also I just updated my bb software yesterday and now I do not have the option to delete my work email on the server or just my phone. Now I cant change it on the Iphone! I`ve tried to reenter it on apples page (I hadnt/havent yet deleated it) but its not possible, why? I cant make a copy with my files and music etc because the emailaddress is wrong on the device...:-(
I dont dare to turn the phone off because I might not be able to open it!!! And to erase the account on the phone I suspect all my content will disapear and not be ably to use the iphone anymore!

I changed email address for Apple ID and iCloud, as well as password. I validated on PC but on iPhone, it won't let me change the email address. I went to Settings - iTunes& App Store, I was able to update Apple ID and password, but for iCloud, it will not let me change Apple ID, just the option for deleting the account with old email address. Messages - catchall for everything
Desktop email icon
2nd/personal email icon
However, I switched back to the Curve (8530) because of the keyboard, and now I don't have a primary desktop email icon. The only way to view work email is to use the messages icon where everything else goes as well. Is there any way to create or separate the two email accounts so I can view the work email separately?

Previous to recent update, I could delete messages either on just the 8330 or I could delete the message from both the 8330 and the primary e-mail box from which it transferred. Now after the update, I can only delete from the 8330. Is there a way to get this feature back?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI've had my un-locked S2 for over a year now and due to inactivity on the registered gmail account I am no longer able to use my phone for navigation or anything else that looks for me to be logged into my gmail account before proceeding.
I've searched for any answer that would avoid the "recommended" restore to factory defaults (which deletes all my apps, photos, etc). I found one reasonable "work around" which required running the root explorer APK, which I installed and ran only to get the message "application closed unexpectedly". Perhaps my phone has to be "rooted" to use this apk or it is simply corrupted.
Can anyone recommend a way to save all my data but change the "primary gmail" account? I could root the phone, if necessary but would like ideas before going that far afield.

The free,"Find my IPhone" app I installed says it needs updated (and the other 4 free games I have) but when I try to update, the Apple ID comes up with my husbands email, not mine. He has an Ipod and an ITunes account, no IPhone. I haven't purchased anything yet, but did created an ITunes account. Maybe it's something with that, but I can't figure it out. I tried logging out of ITunes and logging back in, same with the Iphone-settings, store, logged out and back in (and it shows my correct account). I also synced my phone. Itunes shows my name at the top, too.
