Is there not a single option to close all applications (other than the 3 or 4 compulsory apps of course). I find one has to open each one and then select to close it. A menu option that allows one to close all open apps would be great.
My 5 mohts old Torch is now having the problem with the camera. I seeked all the tip from all the forums but none of the solution does the trick. The camera application is saying that "could not start the camera, close other applications.." . The shutter (camera icon) on the screen is grey out and cannot move the cursor to it.The application log is saying: CAMTRTVF failed:status = 10.I have done the qucik reset, quick pull, but it will allow to one picture only once I took first photo then the same problem happes again.I have done the OS wipe out and the same problem still exists.
I just bought Lumia 710 and I don't understand why isn't there an option to close an app and why do I have to press the back button as many times as needed to close an app. Are you planning to create this option with the 7.8 update?
Otherwise, together with the miserable battery performance, I'm thinking on returning this phone.
When I start the camera in my torch 9800, appear a black screen and after a minute, appear a message "Could not start the camera. close other applications and try opening the camera again" and my camera doesn't work.If I start the camera in video mode, works fine!
I am getting this error on a daily basis since the f/w update to V21.When I get the error I check available memory via taskman and I usually have 40+MB in my RAM available.Even when I close all apps and have 55mb free I get the error. To add to this, it usually happens when I charge the phone overnight. In the morning the screen lock vibration feature dissapears and soon thereafter I start getting the memory full error.
Am I alone ( not in life ) but in the frustration I have not being able to close all! open applications in the multi tasking bar in one go? I'm not a developer but would assume being able to close all open/idol applications in the task bar would be common sense? Why oh why do you have to close each indivdual one? Or am I just being stupid (quite possible) I mean is there a way to do so ?
I can understand it doesn't really matter Unless possibly you have a safari page open with eg BBC sport page which consistenlty refreshes & may use you data usage (I'm not sure that's even the case & may only refresh when you re-open). But just WHY do you have to close them individually...? Why not have the option to close individually or all?
I just got this phone and the camera doesn't work. I notice this seems to be a common problem with this model from other forums. The website fixes absolutely do not work. I've taken the battery out more than I can care to count. I stuck with a camera that doesn't work on this phone?
So i have noticed with all the issues with 5.1.1 that when you hard reset by holding down the top button and the home button, the phone while restart with the apple logo and reboot. However, it will not kill/close the applications in the open programs tray. Am I the only one experiencing this? Can anyone else reproduce or confirm that hard reset used to kill the programs in other versions?
I'm on a 5800 and I'm currently on firmware v40. Ever since I've upgraded, my mobile browsing experience has suffered. Sometimes when I'm surfing the net, a message will appear on the lines of "Memory Full: Please close some applications." This occurs even when the browser (usually Opera Mobile, but it happens on Symbian just as often) is the only app open and used to occur only on CNN but now it has started occurring elsewhere. Also, since I've updated to v40, I have been unable to open a second tab without crashing the browser. Has anyone else had this problem? What was your fix?
There is a problem occurring in my Nokia c6 again and again. Instead, I got the change headset but again it giving same problem of "Memory Full Close Some Applications". Its coming again and again when I am opening the photos. When I asked in the Nokia Care about it then they said that its a company's fault in Nokia C6 or it will get solved when there will be a software update.
apparently hitting the home icon on the phone does not close an application necessarily. How do you find out what is running? And how do you close them for good?
I've had my Curve for about 2 years now.. and this is the ONLY problem I've had with it since I got it... I went to use the camera yesterday and I get a message saying: " Could not start the camera. Close other applications and trying opening the camera again." The camera screen loads... but....it's black... and it's not picking up anything.
i am using nokia x6 00. When ever i try to open any application i get error. Memory full. Close some applications and try again. I have given my phone many times to to nokia care to get the software re installed. But no use. I do not have any ohter application installed other than maps and watsapp
I've bought a lumia 710 a month a go, and i'm pretty happy with it, but i have a question: why there is no way to close the internet Explorer app with a single touch? The only way to close de app is by pushing the back button, but this is really anoying if you have went trough a lot of pages..
Bought a E72 form ebay few months back.Immediately updated it.Now the only software i ever have open on it (running always) is whatsapp.I am CONSTANTLY getting error messages saying 'Memory Full close some appliations'I was using whatsapp on my E63 which is supposed to be lower spec than an E72 and NEVER had these issues with my E63.Have read a few topics on here regarding this and have downloaded a software called NetQin which has told me that RAM: Memory is 112/199 literally within 20 seconds after starting up the phone. It says the only startup item is whatsapp. Which is all i have running currently.I do have the latest mapping ovi software on here which is only run when i choose to run it.
wifi signal lost once trying to connect ovi store.despite having wifi connected, ovi still say "no mobile data" connection. few sec later wifi disconnected.how to close in one step all open applications
I have had a Nokia 6120 for some time now and it has never given me any trouble.Until about a month ago it just stopped sending messages,It would say "General: Memory full, close some applications and try again" I have tried everything I can ever think of for a whole month and nothing seemed to work so I thought I might have a look on here.
Here's an update to the problem:
I was able to track down the problem to the settings by backing up the entire phone, doing a factory reset (*#7370# with lock code 12345), then reloading the sections one at a time to see which one screwed it up. Whenever I loaded settings, the problem seemed to return. So there you have it.Make a backup and reload everything except settings if you want this problem to go away. Or write angry letters to Nokia to get them to put out higher quality software for an $800-$1000 smart. This is by far the most frustrating problem I've had with a cell phone, and there's no reason a stupid bug like this should exist on so many handsets (not just E90, it seems to be a problem on the E71 and several other phones) for so long.
C'mon Nokia!
The thing is, I'm not a real technology geek and I have no idea what this means I have restored all factory settings with the lock code 12345 but that didn't change any affect to my problem so what does this post mean I have to do?
When I open some applications on my Nokia X3, I get a message that there is not enough memory available, and to select an application to close. Is there a way I can see which applications are open? I'd like to close any application that was not required.
My n97 mini tells me that the memory is full close some applications , but I don't have any applications open. There appears to be loads of space on the phone memory when connected to Nokia suite. Also handset powers off periodically even when it has plenty charge.
Somewhere in all the options I had found a place where I could choose to force close/stop certain applications after a period of time after I've closed them. I can't find the setting anywhere..
My Xperia X10 mini got switched off automatically and since then it is showing that "sorry, the process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly, with an option tab for 'Force close'." And since then it is not rceiving or sending any signal. It is also not getting connected to the PC. My repeated attempts by switching it OFF-on have yielded no results. That sorry window doesnot allow me to access anything in the mobile but for some duration of milliseconds when it is force closed with the option tab.
1) I am unable to either open the message section, forget reading or sending messages and it shows he error which says "Messaging Memory full. Close some applications and try again" I have tried every possible way i guess. Have deleted all my messages from the cell( Sim, Memory card and from phone memory as well), but no result.. Still unable to send messages. I tried restarting my cell phone, Closed all applications, infact uninstalled many, Formatted memory card and everything.
2) The message tone in my cell doesnt work. Also it doesnt vibrate when any sms comes. Dont know why it has happened like that. Its ongoing since about 6 months now Nothing has worked for both the problems.
