I need to retrieve a text message from a month ago. I never deleted the message. My Storm has been deleting whole SMS conversations on it's own, when I send a few MMS, or receive a whole bunch of SMS messages. Is there anyway that this old SMS can still be retrieved from my Storm? Again, I never deleted it, my Storm removed it on its own.

Why is my IPhone removing the .wav file that is being sent via text message to my phone? If I send it via an email it comes in but not via a text message sent to my phone number.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using the Blackberry Storm, I believe the 9530 (its the first gen). Anyway, just recently my text messages only stay for a couple of days and then they delete themselves or simpley disappear.
There have been numerous cases where I need the information someone sent me in those messages, but I can't seem to find them. Is there something wrong with how the phone is set up? Is this a memory thing? Is there a way to get those messages back, are they stored somewhere?
I have a text message thread that is very important to me. How can I export it, or another method so that I may be able to print it or save it?

I've been looking all over the phone for this option, and can't seem to find it. I keep seeing posts saying "On your device: Options > SMS > Service Center." but "service center" does not appear when i go to options>SMS text. I see the following; screen options conversation style: show names: message options priority: callback number: disable autotext: so my question is;, where do i find this?

Is there a way i can organize my txts like bbm has it where its in a folder marked person and followed by date ? this would make my life so much easier.

The symbol appeared when I texted a friend who recently moved to China. He still has his same American Blackberry but no data plan, hence no BMMing, but his messages still appear in my BBM chat list with the same symbol. The conversation shows up under in my text messages like it normally would as well. What does this symbol mean? Does it have anything to do with him leaving the country/deactivating his data plan?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI had my iphone 4 taken/stolen at a bar on saturday night - I called my provider and blocked the sim and IMEI - my question is.....with the IMEI block, could whoever has it look at my phone book (contacts) and contact my mum etc? I know they can't use my phone to make a call but could they at least get a number from it? Otherwise I'm thinking of calling my provider and asking them to unblock it so I can at least call the phone myself and appeal to the person's better nature. After all, they may have just been drunk and messed up. Yes I may be optimistic - apparently we're wired that way. I need to try something as my phone wasn't insured and I don't have the 'find my iphone' app on it either.

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhenever I receive a text message from a sender like American Airlines where their name/number is a random set of numbers, it will not remove itself from the home page list even if I delete it. If I select it after I have deleted it, it's just a blank message. Any ideas as to how to resolve this? The only thing that has worked for me so far is to reset the phone. I don't want to have to do that each time a message of this type comes in to my inbox.

The only option when selecting them is to delete, which removes them from the conversation threads. It doesn't seem to be related to service, but to whether I am using the phone for any other purpose at the time.
2) When connected to a car BT system, shut off car, BT seems to go into a black hole. You can't reconnect, can't make a call (well, it makes a call, but you can't hear anything; can't play music, etc.). The only solution is reboot. This happens with multiple systems in different brands of auto, so not limited to one brnad.
hello, I just upgraded my phone to the .732. Everything went smoothly during the upgrade, ever since then I have been having trouble with receiving text messages and MMS messages. I have gone to 3 sites for free ringtones have sent the ring tones to my phone, I have not received anything. I also have setup google voice and I am not getting any text messages from people tht text my google voice number.

A single message may be broken up into seven or eight individual messages, which most often are not even in the proper order when received, or sent. Most text messages on other phones are one block.

So I went through and got rid of a heap of stuff - songs, videos the kinda things that are big files, and still no change.
My phone memory has 368kb free and my memory card has 3734 mb of free memory.Was working perfectly fine yesterday with more data and my phone stores about 1000 messages pretty easily, several videos, songs etc..

I dont see anywhere to change this back to the original behavior. I did a hard reset with no luck.So far I love my phone even with the minor annoyances like it hangs for a few seconds after unlocking it everytime, fine I can live with that. But I really want to fix this text message thing
