My brothers Blackberry has decided to encrypt all outgoing text messages which makes them unreadable on anything but a Blackberry.
Presumably this is down to a software setting in the phone. How can we revert the Blackberry to normal text communication?
I'm having issues with outgoing text messages being undeliverable. Is this an iPhone problem or a carrier problem? Most of my texts go to people who have the same carrier as me. I have an iPhone 4s.

I provide a Website Hosting & Email service for our clients.
Some of our clients read and reply to their email that we host using their blackberries; the problem that we now have is that the blackberry stores the replies on our mail servers and not on the blackberry device itself. I own an iPhone 4 and I have an option to either store my email replies on the mail server or on the iPhone itself.
If I store the messages I sent on the iPhone, I can later synchronize all my replies with my Outlook on either my laptop or my desktop computer using iTunes.
What I need to know, does the Blackberry have a similar feature or setting to do this?
I love everything about my phone except this feature.

Also, when I go to message settings on my phone my old number is still there and idk how to put in my new one. I have already tried resetting network settings. but that hasn't worked....

I've been using my N8 with my virgin mail account happily for about a year. Recently I've found that outgoing messages are getting stuck in the outbox. They sometimes send (several days later) after I have restarted my phone. I thought I would try removing the mail box and starting again, after a couple of attempts the mail box was removed, but when I tried to set it up again.
It seemed to hang in the middle of the task and I ended up with a mail box with a string of hexadecimal numbers as the mailbox name. Now I cannot remove it : whenever I try to remove it, I get as far as 'removing mailbox' and then it just hangs there (have left it overnight). Possibly related, I have had a couple of messages recently about phone memory being full, but if i look at it through file manager it has 116MB free, and nothing in there which looks like it could obviously be removed.
I sent a SMS text message to another verizon user and it was recieved, but there is no little D next to the check mark. So can somebody tell me what this little D means, and if my sms text was recieved and it was sent to another verizon user, why is there no little D?

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy text have just stopped sending ive had this trouble before many times but always went back to normal after a reboot, but now it wont come back i have tried, resetting the whole phone, battery pull, normal reboot, updating OS, deleting loads of stuff and nothing wants to work i done my centre number thing again and still nothing, as i said before i just rebooted and it was fine now its been about 2 weeks with no way of texting, and when i try to send a message it just says UNIDENTIFIED SUBSCRIBER, with a red cross next to it, i can still recieve texts though.
