BB Curve 83xx :: Access To Network Lost?
May 31, 2010I've had my BB curve for almost a year - and have to regularly synchronize to get emails; but for the past 3 days I have not been able to access net work - even to check emails to see if connection needs updating. just keep getting the same message: unable to connect to the selected provisioning server. when i turn off, pull battery, the turn on - the BB looks like it is trying to synchronize and connect, but it quits after a few seconds.

Mar 6, 2012I recently switched networks in an attempt to save money. It's a new network so they don't have an agreeement with Blackberry yet to carry RIM but I should be able to access the internet with it. (my brother who also switched has a nokia phone and has internet access now with no trouble.)I have configured the APN, but get a message when I try to get online that says "This is a Wi-Fi service. Please ensure your device has an active Wi-Fi connection and try again."So I googled that and from what I can find "The reason you are getting this message is your browser is set to hotspot browser and you are trying to connect over the mobile network. In browser options > general properties > default browser > set to internet browser."When I try to do this, however, I can't change from hotspot browser to internet browser.When I go to manage connections and check Services Status I'm told that my Blackberry Internet Service is not connected.I'm stuck at this point and don't know where to go next. I know that I can always switch back to my old network but I would like to see if I can solve this problem first before switching back.

May 29, 2012I have an iPhone 4S which I purchased several months ago. I currently live in a 4G network covered area but have NEVER seen 4G icon on my phone. I have updated my software to 1.5.1.1 but no joy.
My provider makes a big noise about 4G and when I requested tech support on this issue, this was the response I got...
That is normal - 3g is the proper network that you should be connected to. The new HSPA+ network is technically a 3.5g network so the phone only shows 3g. Because everyone in the industry brands
HSPA+ as 4g - MTS (my provider) does the same. Is that typical across the industry? If so that's blatant deceit.

Feb 2, 2010I had my Bold 9700 delivered from Saudi Arabia. I was absolutely in love with the phone with its incredible speed and my favorite thing about it was the 3G network. It worked absolutely great in Egypt. When I moved back to the US (Ive been here 3 days now), I can only use T-Mobiles EDGE network. If I search manually for networks, it finds AT&Ts 3G network, but I cant use it since Im T-Mobile and not AT&T. When I went to the T-Mobile store, they told me that since T-Mobile didnt sell me the phone, my phone wouldnt find their 3G network. Any idea what I can do to fix this? Aug 12, 2010I have a Sony Ericsson K800i and until two days ago it was working just fine. But then it displayed the "No access to network." message and I couldn't make or receive any calls. I tried to restart the phone, to take off the battery, to reset the settings, to set a network manually etc etc but still nothing.
And while it is searching for a network, it is draining the battery too. It was fully charged this morning, and now it's only 25%. Normally, it should take 3-4 days to reach that power level. I should mention now that I'm in roaming in Munich, Germany since three weeks, and my phone bills are payed on time, so it shouldn't be an mobile operator problem.

Jul 25, 2015When I connect my bluetooth headset and try a google command such as "navigate to Staples, Hudson NY" I get a message via the headset stating that I have limited network access and can only use the calling feature. However If I am connected via my wifi it performs that command without any problem as well as any other such a text so and so.
If I turn the headset off and turn off the wifi connection and speak the navigate command directly to the phone it will do so without any problem.
I am at a loss as to why the google commands only work if I'm connected to my wifi while using my headset?

I have a Sony Ericsson W595 This afternoon I went to make a call and found I couldn't get into my contacts list - I'd press select and nothing would happen. The phone would not be frozen, however. Then, on my "recent calls" list all my contacts' names had been replaced with an "e" with an acute accent. Later, I lost signal so took the battery out and replaced it, which didn't help. My message counter and phone theme were reset but the time and date were not. I removed and replaced the SIM card, which also had no effect. I then put my SIM card in a Motorola Pebl and got full signal and could receive texts again, so I assume it is a phone fault, not a SIM problem.
