BB Curve :: Is It Possible To Have Deleted SMS' Go To 'Del
Jun 24, 2011
I'm looking at my BB Curve 5.0 and I see View Folder under an SMS drop down. I click it and it takes me to Select Folder: SMS Folders. There's a SMS Deleted folder and I want to know if it can be used as it's labeled... To store deleted SMS'?
Is there a way to recover/retrieve BBM messages/chats from a deleted BBM contact on a BlackBerry Curve 9300? The "save message history" was turned off at the time of these chats.
Even though I've put my Curve 8520 onto the setting to kee SMS messages 'forever', it has deleted all messages I have received prior to November. I still have free memory, so I'm not sure why it's been doing it. I know it might be a long shot, but is there any way that I can get these messages back and prevent it from happing in the future??
Today my Blackberry Curve 8310 deleted all of my received text messages. It also did this (deleted the all of the received messages) about 2 days ago. I don't know why or what keeps happening. I will go to look at a text message and they will all be gone. Only the incoming texts are deleted, the outgoing/sent ones always remain and so do emails. I have lost a ton of important, irreplaceable texts (including those which had pictures attached). This keeps occurring for no apparent reason. When this happens I hadn't turned my phone off or taken the battery out.
I have my setting as follows under Inbox: Options; General Options: Keep Message Forever.
I have a OS7 powered curve and there are some pics in built in storage in the folder picture library which i cant delete?i tried connecting the phone to windows to delete em, but im unble to.
My texts are deleting themselves after about a month of having them and I can't get them back and its doing my head in. It was fine for about a year, and now its soooo
I accidentally deleted an app which i think controls the email and texts and now I can't get either, I've tried resetting with no luck. The phone doesn't allow me to go back to factory settings
One fateful morning I awoke to a message asking if I wanted to update my phone with new (stuff of some kind) it said If I did not want the update or did not understand the message to select NO. Not understanding the offer I selected NO and watched as the screen went through a series of deleting this, deleting that, deleting something else messages, until everything was gone. No screens, no icons, no nothing. Since then I had 6 hours of on line help downloading and installing software there was progress restoring the icons except for one. The on line helper said after we were through I should take out the battery and put it back in for full restoration. However after taking out the battery I lost all the icons again.
You are going to all laugh at me, but this is my first blackberry, 8330, and I was deleting a game i didn't like that i downloaded and accidently deleted the default TASKS app that comes on the phone. Can anyone tell me how and where I can get this replaced? If I can't get it, suggest another free one that is decent
Ive only had my Curve 8900 for about a year, and I know thats about a decade in techie years but still...I'm incredibly frustrated with the issues I've been having! Most pressing of these issues is that my phone keeps deleting my SMS even though my memory is NOT low! I've read tons of posts about the same issue but its always resolved by freeing up some memory.
My current memory status:File Free: 90317537
Thus I have 90.31 MB free...yes? Shouldnt that be enough?
Apparently not. I have nothing stored on my blackberry, everything is on the Media Card (4GB) and I only have a couple applications (MSN, Facebook, GTalk) and yet my SMS get deleted regularly unless they are saved on my SIM card and also notifications on facebook are often deleted (those dont matter too much to me but I believe it is resulting from the same thing that is deleting my SMS)
Further, my call logs ARENT being deleted. So I dont think its the same memory problem everyone else seems to have. I will be most most most grateful to anyone who can help me out here or at least point me in the right direction.Im seriously considering shelling out for an iphone even though ive only had my blackberry for a year because I do rely heavily on smartphones and losing SMS is really driving me crazy. Sometimes I cant even read a newly received SMS before its deleted! By the time i pick up my phone its gone...
Ive had other problems as well, not to ramble on but in case they are related: I will be chatting on bbm for example and it will just exit out of the conversation or the application entirely. Oftentimes it slows down so much that the minute hand or whatever stays and everything freezes until i do a battery pull (which i hate doing but have to at least once a day) This often happens when Im using the browser...Sometimes when I am getting a call the minute hand appears again and I cant answer Oftentimes when this happens it says that I am receiving a call from an unknown number, but when they call back it turns out its a number i have saved...weird...
Sometimes I cannot dial or call (frustrating as hell when i need to make a call urgently!) I have to again do a battery pull to fix the issue. Ive had other issues here and there but nothing really worth mentioning after this long rant so I'll just leave it at that!! Thanks to whoever has had the patience to read all this and I really do hope I can get some help before I release my frustrations on this piece of junk and end up having to spend tons of money on another brick...
I have a feeling it has to do with a new email account that I added. I deleted the email account but still nothing. When I view my call logs I can see some of my old contacts.
I deleted the calendar from my BB Curve, just accicentally hit "Delete" in the Menu list. How to get the calendar application back onto my blackberry?I need the programme itself, not the data from the deleted calendar.PS: I tried SHOW ALL option, looked in all folders and checked the Application list. It is not there.
I am a new Blackberry user and am having a few issues with my email setup. I use Comcast email (pop3) and windows live mail as my email addresses. When I delete an email from my PC or Outlook, it does not update the handheld. I have had the phone for a week or so now and still have all my old deleted emails on it.
My settings are: Delete On: Mailbox and Handheld Wireless Reconcile is checked On Conflicts: Mailbox wins.
Both email accounts are having the same issue. I receive lots of email daily and don't want to have to re-read /re-delete previously deleted emails from my handheld. Is there a setting I am missing here?
I recently plugged for first time my Blackberry Pearl on PC, and before the backup all my SMS have been deleted, I had only 7 sms. but i need to find them (that's why i plugged the phone to the PC!)I did not click on buttons or select on any option. they deleted automatically
Every minute or so I get 'BlackBerry message and memory and SIM card are full! delete some SMS messages.' appear on my screen, I have deleted all my messages but its still appearing and people have been sending me texts but I havent recieved them..
while changing the BB ID, it prompted to wiped off data, which i okayed it, assuming that it will delete only BB ID sceen data, but actually it delleted all the data in handset. How do i recover my contact list and BB M list ? is there any recovery software to recover this ?
