BB Curve :: 9300 Does Not Power On?
Jul 27, 2011the device shows a red light for 2 secs and goes off. I have charged the batteryi just got dis device less than 2 months ago.

BB Curve 83xx :: Flashing Red Light / No Power / Curve Not Recognized By DM
Feb 2, 2010I installed the BB desktop manager for Mac yesterday, and this morning connected to remove some apps, create some space, and install all the updates. In the process of this it mysteriously just stopped doing anything right after it said "database cannot be backed up" and shut off. Now it's flashing red twice, pausing for about 2 seconds, and repeating the flashing. I pulled the battery and sim even though I was sure that wouldn't do anything, plugged it back into my laptop, plugged it into the wall both with and without the battery, and nothing has changed. The desktop manager doesn't not recognize the device at all.
I'm using a Curve 8330. Is there anything I can do or am I screwed totally? Also, and I know this is a long shot, but what are the odds that I can restore the device and save the data that's on it?

Mar 9, 2012I am experiencing very frustrating battery issues on my BB Curve 9300. I bought the device a month ago and had a brand new battery installed in no later than yesterday.Battery life is about 3 to 5 hours at the very best, whilst I am not using any specific 3rd party application.In addition, the "clock" apprears on a very frequent basis, slowing the system dramatically.I do not have any files saved on the media card ... Wi-fi has been disabled already as have Bluetooth. LAt, connection the mobile network is fine so I do not believe it has to do with the device desperately seeking connection.PS: I am based in France with SFR being my provider.

According to HTC: Note: IfData connection is selected, HTC One automatically disconnects from the mobile network after 15 minutes when the screen is off and the data connection is idle (no download activity, streaming, or data usage). It reconnects and then disconnects periodically when the data connection is idle to save battery power.
Do these affect mobile data, Wifi, or both? Do they affect anything else?
I've left these off because I don't know how they work, and am getting fairly short battery life (10 to 15 hours, depending on use).

Jun 22, 2011I finally joined the BB community and I am really enjoying my 9300 Curve.Recently I saw that a friend of mine had the OS 6 system on and I have been trying to upgrade my OS 5 to 6. However,Things I have tried so far: I have used the desktop software's upgrade function to upgrade but every time I get the message that, there is no upgrade available. I also downloaded my carrier (MTN - South Africa) specific software the "9300M_PBr6.0.0_rel1879_PL6.6.0.124_A6.0.0.448" file and installed it onto my computer. I then connected my BB and tried to upgrade but was still unsuccessful.

Jun 23, 2012The battery on my daughter's BB Curve 9300 went completely flat the other day and will no longer charge in the usual way. However, we have found another way to recharge the battery and after inserting it fully charged to the handset re-booted.
It all re-booted ok but when the password screen appeared it wouldn't respond to any keys on the handset and she can't enter the password. The handset is now permantently locked and won't even switch it off. We've tried removing the battery and re-booting (several times) but no luck.

Dec 19, 2010I have an 8520 that simply will not power on! its so frustrating because i use it for everything! all of a sudden it just switched off and ever since ive tried to revive but it just does not seem possible
but also just for your info, ive been trawling through forums for the past week! and have not come to any success, i have come across JL_CMDR but that has also not had any sucess due to it not recognising my device and its such a shame so it keeps returning to the main screen where you choose your option
Also currently running on the O2 network but the worst thing is i have an expired warranty

I also was wondering if this new 6.O was for people with touchscreen. It seems to move very fast.Does anyone know how I can slow it down.

BB Curve :: 3G And Icon - 9300?
Apr 20, 2011I've a 9300 on T-Mobile UK with BB Worldwide booster, which I thought was for email. At the top right is "3G BB (icon)". I think the BB refers to the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS)..I'm in France and have used by BB to connect to the internet directly and also using it as a 3G modem via Desktop Software to my netbook. After downloading several MBs of data, I am relieved to find that although all the MBs of data appear on my account, using Orange france, there is not a single charge for the data. I am assuming that using the BIS also includes www data as well as email.
There are also some BlackBerry.net entries - which I assume are for the GPS maps etc.
BB Curve :: 4 Day Old 9300 Won't Charge
Jun 25, 2012I bought a blackberry curve 9300 4 days ago and today it fully ran out of charge. I put it on charge and now it won't charge or switch on. If I take the battery out and put it back in and then put it on charge, a red light comes on for about 10-15 seconds and then nothing else happens. Ive only had it 4 days and this has never happened before.

As final option they have said me: or to contact with the blackberry team (what it's impossible because the only number I've found redirect me to my carrier) or to send the device to the technical service (what I don't want).I have an Internet Plan and the Blackberry Service activated. Dec 18, 2011Yesterday Morning I put my BB Curve 9300 on charge for around an hour to get its 100% battery back as I would be traveling for a while in the car with out any source to plug my BB in, My BB was perfectly fine. Throughout the day I used BBM quite a bit and some of the games that I had installed onto my BB. Around 3pm I notice my BB was very low on battery so I put it on charge and left it for 30 minutes and returning only to find out it had not charged at all and the battery was empty> I had checked to make sure my charger was firmly in the plug socket which it was and made sure the cable had not come loose from my BB which it had not. I took the battery out of my BB and gave it a good blow and the inside of the BB too as this normally works. I put my battery back in and a solid red light came on which then faded. Usually When you put the battery back in the phone starts up and it works fine but now the red solid light will not even show.
I have tried leaving it on charge over night and that has not worked helped at all
P.S. I have had my Blackberry Curve 9300 for just a week as it was a replacement given to me by my provider when my last Blackberry failed to work.
