I have a Blackberry Curve 8330 on Metro PCS, and i cant seem to be able to connect to pandora. i changed the application permissions to ALLOW, i checked the firewall, i did everything, but it still doesn't work. I keep getting the error message: "Could not connect to Pandora. Please ensure you have sufficient network coverage and try again. "

My data port on my 3 month old 8330 died and Sprint gave me a new one today. The contacts were transferred at the store - but after I restored from my DM backup done one week ago - none of my other settings were restored. What did I do wrong or what have I missed? Sprint rep told me the backup restore would get my new 8330 back to being just like the old one - but it's not.I want to get my email settings, apps, ring tones, wallpapers etc, back. I don't want to have to create everything over again when I have a good backup.
I have two Blackberry 8330's here. One is a 8330 and the other is a 8330m. The 8330m receives MMS pictures embedded and the 8330 receives an SMS with a link to look at the picture online.I know this isn't new but I haven't been able to find any solution to this if there even is one.
One thing I found is that somewhere it was said that the two phones receive different types of Service books depending on the model. Now, maybe this is a stupid question but I am asking it anyways .Can I somehow copy the MMS service book from the 8330m and put in on my older 8330 ? If it's possible, will this fix the MMS as an SMS link problem ?
I took my phone into sprint it wouldn't send pictures on text don't ask me why. they did a re-install on it. and now I can't get pandora to work. it downloads but isn't in my downloads folder. I downloaded it like 5 times and no icon. I did a search and found something in the same folder as my sprint navigation is downloaded but no way to get it to work there. Facebook does work. I tried blackberry app world and don't know where that went either. I don't know. WTF did they do. last time it just installed and worked.
No Browser is running and I dont have any apps. I was on the phone for 15 min and my battery was half dead when I got off. Was never like that before. I've had this phone for almost 2 years. The same thing is happening with the rest of my families Blackberrys. Why is this?
I've had my 8330 Curve with Verizon since November 2008. Very happy with it. I also happen to still be using OS 4.3.0.127 (202), which is what the unit came loaded with. I never bothered upgrading because I would always hear of people having issues or DM only backing up your contacts and not your apps, lower music volume, etc. I don't really need Docs To Go, but HTML e-mail would be nice and the biggest thing is trying to improve these BBM delays I constantly get when trying to send a message. I'm thinking an upgrade to the latest BBM might help change that.
Of course, in order to do that, I need to upgrade to 4.5. So I've decided to do it, but not before I ask for feedback here. I've scanned dozens of other threads here, all with varying opinions. It's been long enough. Is it wise to do this and, if so, what is the latest OS for VZW (is it .138)? What risks am I really running here? Need a reality check on this.
I'm a BB newbie but recently received one for work. My problem is trying to transfer the contacts from my old cell phone (Sanyo SCP-7050) to my new Curve 8330. I took it to my local Sprint store and they said the contacts can't be transferred because the BB is registered on a BES. The Bluetooth connection won't work either, I assume for the same reason.Am I out of luck or is there some other way I can get the contacts into my BB? I have the contacts stored as individual business card files (.vcf) and was hoping there is a way to use the micro SD card to load them on somehow.
Long story short, I just cracked the screen on my storm1 so I'm activating my old 8330. I'm trying to find out what the best 8330 OS is. I've searched and can't find anything.
I'm running on 4.5OS but some new apps I'd like require at least 4.7. Can't find it anywhere. Also, when I try to upload 5.0OS from my mobile or through the internet and the desktop software I keep getting a message saying there are no uploads available. Is 5.0 NOT supported for the Curve 8330 despite website claims??? What's the deal? Again, why can't I upload 5.0 (or even 4.7) for smartphone which is only running 4.5?
I've been trying to update my phone for about 2 hrs now and i can't seem to get it to work. I've updated my desktop to v5.0, but everytime i click the link on the website it tells me i have the current version. i checked under "about" and i have v. 4.5.0.175. HOW DO I GET V5.0? oh and i have verizon if that matters.
I have a blackberry 8330 and i had a media card in it and evrything was fine i had music on it and one day i went to play it and i was clicking it and it froze and then said some errors and i went to the media card in option and it said media card cannot be read verify that the memory card is formated and i try to format and it takes a while then it said failed?
I have had my BB 8330 for almost a year now, and just recently, it's starting locking up OFTEN. Almost daily. It will lock up if I take a picture sometimes - it takes so long to save it, I have to do a battery pull. It also locks up when I go to my Facebook Application sometimes, and also if I try to SEND a photo to an MMS address, it will lock up then too. I did notice an "uncaught exception - memory full" error message just today - probably because I let the "locking up" run quite a time and didn't pull the battery yet. If this is the problem, what is my fix? Too many pics on the memory card? Too many apps installed? Too many emails in my inbox? I'm completely clueless.
I am frustrated popping my hard case off daily - which is wearing out the "tightness" of my case, and it's pretty hard to get off!
I just got my first blackberry today and can't seem to figure out how to browse the net. The sales person told me to click on the "world", which I did, but it only lets me search the blackberry site. How do I get to Google?
I know the questions are elementary for the rest of you, so please be kind. Also, I downloaded some ringers off of this site, but can't seem to find them on the phone. I know they are there, as I played them as soon as I got them. I just want to add them to different contacts.
Is there a good app to watch movies on my BB 8330? Free would be great! I hate stopping a movie and then having to start over and not being able to fast forward it. Can you fast fwd on the movie player that is installed on the BB?
I was trying to update my BlackBerry Curve 8330m, and it says here that my BlackBerry is compatible with version 5.0, but I tried from Wireless Update and it said there were no updates available. I also tried from the update page and it told me the same thing.
I woke up this morning to my phone not working. My trackball is able to scroll left-right and up-down, but unable to click. As well, none of the other keys work.I've tried resetting my phone by pulling the battery out & I've deleted all the apps that were on it via the Desktop Software.I can't answer the phone, check/ respond to texts nothing. I bought the phone at Radio Shack a little less than a year ago.I've never had water damage, my strip is still white.
I picked up an 8330 secondhand recently and it worked fine for about 3 weeks when quite suddenly the keyboard stopped resonding. I can't even turn on the screen unless I plug the phone into a charger and then unplug it. In this state the trackball will scroll through menus, but pressing it does nothing, and the rest of the keyboard is also unresponsive.
Anyway, I want to wipe it and reinstall the OS to see if maybe that helps. I've backed everythign up through destop software but I don't see any like 'Format device' 'wipe device' type of option.
It was acting way too weird, so I saved only contacts and pics with BB desktop, hen reloaded the contact & pics. I was able to get 1st email support@mycompaniesname.com...it worked. When I tried the 2nd email chris@myfactory.com)...which is ran by Google...didn't recognize my email.I did it under GMAIL....and changed the gmail.com to myfactory.com.....still didn't ork.Tried it again under OTHER.....didn't work.Tried service books, calling Boost Mobile, entering server name, Two-Step verification, etc & so on.I work in a cell phone shop and know quite a bit, but this is beyond my scope. It was on my phone before (with the red GMAIL envelope icon.).
I have a Curve 8330, i can't access any of the options, when I push the buttons nothing happens. I see incoming calls for example but when I go to answer it won't work.
I need to reset my OS w/out a usb cord as my usb charger port (not sure what its officially called) is mangled and I've been charging my battery in my bro's phone nightly and replacing it into my phone in the morning. My BB 8330 powers up, and then gets to about 10% on the 'verifying security software' screen and then get shut off..
how do I reset the OS without a USB cord for Blackberry Curve 8330
