After updating to the new software my Bold 9930 does not have spell check on it anymore... I looked in the options menu under Typing and Language and Spell Check is not there. Word substitution is still there however.
for some reason my blackberry bold touch 9900 doesnt spell check anymore (when a word is spelt wrong it has a dashed line underneath the misspelled word and gives you suggestions or correct spelling suggestions), how do i reactivate spell check for my sms and emails? its really starting to bug me, because my auto correct still works but spell check doesnt!
I did something and now all of a sudden my spell check function is underlining almost every word (even those spelled correctly) and making bizarre correction suggestions. The options for changing spell check settings are limited and haven't resolved the issue.
Do you need to activate spell check to make it work? Whenever i try to spell a word wrong, it doesn't activate it. I've tried to spell the word in both English and Norwegian (as I'm from Norway), without any result.
I have recently upgraded my Bold 9700 to OS 6. Everything is working well.But I'm having trouble activating the spell check feature. Where should I look?
I never use the spell check feature. It has been turned off since day one. Now all of a sudden it gives me the suggested letters/words as I'm typing. I have searched every setting and can't find anything other than the spell check feature and it is off. Am I missing something? It also now does the short vibrate when I press a key. I have that feature off as well.

I'm an Italian living in UK and I need to text and write emails both in Italian and English.Is there a way to completely disable the spell checker? I don't want to keep switching languages and it's quite annoying to be corrected everytime I type in a different language than the one which is set in the phone.
So i'll be texting a friend and usually my spell check usually works, but reciently i have noticed its not underlining at all. i purposly spell things wrong and it still doesn't do anything!
I have a Blackberry Torch and I've only had it a few weeks and all of a sudden when I write a text, bbm or email, instead of underlinging the misspelt words it's just randomly underlinging any words, ones that I know are spelt correct like you, but, and etc. and it's stopped automatically adding apostrophes or captalising words. I know it's not a huge issue but it's really annyoing.
one of our users has a 9930 that seems to be corrupting the phone app on what I fear is a regular basis. This is the third instance of it happening and the device otherwise works fine. I've been able to reload the OS and get it working, but this is going to get old.The whole thing is complicated with BES on GroupWise, sometimes the contacts aren't 100% in sync with the mailbox so its not just a matter of restore, reactivate and go.
My daughter has sent me a couple texts about there being no spell check on her new Lumia 1020. As I am still on WP7 and my Daughter lives a little ways away from me, I decided to throw it out there if there is something in the settings in WP8 or on the L1020 I do not know about which kills the spell check. She has not red line under mispelled words and no suggestions as she types.
The spell-checker on my Torch checks words against a Spanish dictionary even though I've instructed it to use English. This seems to happen sporadically and I can't figure out how to get it to stick with English
Ever since I've upgrade to the 5.0.x software, even though my spell check and autocomplete are turned off, the software is still correcting my words. If I type: The program sam is made in The software corrects it automatically to: The program Sam is made in Erasing the word and typing again will not work as it will be capitalized. What works is pausing after writing the word sam and then chosing from the popup that allows a choice of sam or Sam.This was not the case in 4.7 . If it is of any importance, I use multitap.
The call forwarding , call waiting function is missing in the blackberry 9930 CDMA **bleep** GSM phone. Anyone knows how to get this function on the phone. It is activated by my wireless service provider but does not show up under call management. I have seen te function option in Bold 9900 but do not see it in 9930.
After seeing the article about Device Hub and Storage Check beta's now ending because they're included in the OS with Cyan I went into Settings to take a look.......and Storage Check is definitely not there. I have the HK RM-937 but flashed the RM-937 VAR EURO GB CV ROM to it so I could get Cyan.
I've seen some fixes for this error on other OS versions, but none specifically for 7.0 on the Blackberry Bold 9930. I was trying to download My Verizon Mobile and got this error.
My device keeps turning itself off and wont come back on, when I get the battery out and back in, the phone turns on and back off again. But when I connect it to my laptop via a USB cable the device does not turn off.
I routinely back up my 9930 on my Mac, but tonight I kept receiving the error message,"BlackBerry desktop software failed to backup your BlackBerry device. The device was disconnected. Reconnect your device and try again." So I did . . . three times. Same message each time. I downloaded the BlackBerry Desktop Software for Mac again, even though it said I had the latest version already installed. I tried the backup once more; same error message. Has the software changed versions or updated? What should I do to correct this?
I can't get my 9930 acces to the BIS, it doesn't get the Host Routing Table. I already contacted my carrier and their solutions don't work (like what the call the 'provisionning' etc) When I put my sim card in a friend's BackBerry it works very well (BBM, the browser.) but it doesn't with mine!
I have the Blackberry Bold 9930 with Verizon - love the phone, but the emails often don't go through the first time and I have to hit resend once, twice or three times. This doesn't happen every time, but at least 3 or 4 times a day. Is this a known problem with Blackberry or do I have to contact Verizon? Nothing has changed since I bought this new phone, such as where I use it, the carrier, etc. I have pulled the battery numerous times to see if that solved the problem, but it continues to happen regularly.
I live outside the US and own a Blackberry Bold 9700 which has Blackberry Enterprise Service; I recently purchased a Bold 9930 unlocked from verizon in the US and wish to use it instead of my old 9700. How can I go about switching the Blackberry service from my old phone to my new 9930?
I am able to make calls with the 9930 but have been unable to activate the Enterprise service on it. I have tried using the desktop software to switch devices but that seems to have only transfered the data from my old phone to the new one.
I bought my BBB 9930 several months ago, today my phone did not start. I tried everything, taking battery out for about an hour, direct connect to PC etc..Every 20 seconds the blackberry logo and bottom bar will slightly light up (faded low low light) and disappear right away then 2 seconds later the red light will turn on and off and then the same thing will happen again 20 seconds later into a loop.
