BB Bold :: Pixels Suddenly Became Scattered And Screen Turned White
Oct 4, 2011
My phone was working perfectly fine, until the pixels on the screen suddenly became scattered and turned completely white. i took out the battery a few time and all I'm getting is a white screen with a few pink likes running through it. When connected to the computer, it's telling me, the model of my phone and my pin but it wouldn't connect.
There seems to be a problem with my blackberry or my blackberry's screen.
Sometimes when I click any of the buttons to wake up my screen to check if I have messages/make a call or what have you...
1. The screen is black white and stays that way for a few seconds before reverting to the normal screen. 2. The screen is covered in static similar to a television except it isn't moving, and the pixels are red, yellow and blue. This either fixes itself after I unlock the phone, or it only fixes the part of the screen where the box that says "keypad is locked" is usually located, and then goes back to normal once I press another button. This happens sometimes even if the phone isn't locked, and if I have a text message open I can roll the type cursor back and forth and that part of the screen will be fixed again. 3. The screen is white, but the red/blue/yellow pixels wash across the screen from left to right, and once I press a button it fixes itself.
It's a Blackberry Bold 9000, only one year and one month old, and at&t is my provider. I'm not sure if it's a coincidence, but the problem seems to have started around the time I put a memory card in it.
I have tried taking the battery out of the phone and putting it back in. Nothing changes.
I don't know what happened. One minute I was charging my phone via my macbook, the next minute, it was ringing and all I saw is a blank (white) screen. I answered the call and then, I turned off my phone (by pulling out the batteries). I tried turning it off (again by pulling out the batteries) a couple of times, but all to no avail.
Initially, I though my sytem crashed, but I don't think it's completely busted because my alarm made a resounding noise this morning.
i have a bb bold 9780. two days ago it the screen just turned white and i cant see anything on the screen. however can still recieve calls, texts bbms.i'm lost with out my phone and my insurance was cancelled?
In some apps (and only some), at the very bottom of the screen there is a single row of white pixels that extends across the entire width of the screen, and is obviously most noticable in apps that have dark background colours. Just some things I've noticed:
- It isn't visible when on the lockscreen, or basically anywhere in the core OS - It doesn't matter whether I'm using the light or dark theme, the problem remains the same - It seems a lot less likely to happen/show when I'm in an app that uses an app bar at the bottom - I think it's related to the display/positioning of app backgrounds, as I haven't seen this happen in apps that don't have backgrounds.
My BB Screen has turned white and thwo dark patches are seen on it. The phone is in working condition.I can receive and make call, sms, mails everything, but none of them is visible on the screen. Its a Blank white screen..
My Screen Turned white a couple minutes ago It was fine this morning but now I cant use any thing exept for my speed dials I did not drop it or caused it any physical problem I ve tried to unplug/plug the battery then i tried to restore it and to download an update Its a Bold 9780 my provider is Telus and the phone is not even a year old...
My Blackberry 8520 curve suddenly hangs giving a white screen and when i restart it - the screen remains white. After i put it into charge - then only a successful start is done. So the only solution as of now i have - is whenever my blackberry hangs - i need to remove the battery - insert it again - and immediately put it into charging via USB/Electric-Power. Even if i re-insert the battery - the white screen comes - unless and until i put it into charging Earlier i was guessing - my battery was weak.
I recently did a software update on my Blackberry Bold 9000 when prompted by my desktop manager to do so. After the update the phone began running slowly. I then delete a couple applications off the phone such as Myspace and Facebook to free some memory. Then phone had to be rebooted to complete deletion. After reboot, the phone screen turned white and froze. To unfreeze I had to remove the battery. When I put the battery back in, it would not turn on anymore. Could the update have fried the phone altogether?
I have a Bold 9780, my screen turned white suddenly. Phone was kept on the table and it automatically turned white. The other functions are working fine as in incoming calls and messages, but the whole screen is white.
A couple days ago I noticed the middle top of my BB Bold 9700 Screen was black, its been increasing and decreasing through the last couple days, I ordered a new lcd screen, will that fix the problem?
I had had my Blackberry Curve 3G 9330 for exactly 3 months yesterday and have been pretty happy with it. Upon taking it out of my bag that morning (where there were no liquids), I was horrified to discover that the entire left and middle part of the screen was white, with a gradual faded clearing toward the right. Sounds were still working, I could place calls, but of course can't read any of my contacts or text messages, or commands on my phone. It will be 24 hours submerged in rice as of today until about 3pm
one day my screen just turned white and my phone is flashing the red light as if i have a message but i cant do anything its just white ive tried taking the battery out and bakc in it just goes to a white screen?
My BlackBerry curve works from time to time...I dripped gatorade on it a few months back and the screen turned white but the phone is still on, I can make calls, receive calls and text I just can't see anything on my screen. It came back on it worked for a few days then went out again. After a week or two it came back on and today it went out again. I dropped my last phone in the toilet and that piece of **bleep** wont stop working for anything but a drop of gatorade kills my whole BB screen ughhh...Is there a solution to this problem??
My blackberry curve when turned on has a white screen and sometimes has a red light. the alarm on my phone still goes off so i presume it still works but how do i get my screen back or do i need a new screen?
I need to know how to fix my phone. The thing is the charging port was taken out completely cuz a Lg charger was mistakenly used and now my phone has restarted and still on the white screen and it has been minutes. I had jsut downloaded Blackberry protect on my phone. Please help me with this problem.
My Curve 8900 went white screen suddenly. Phone still works, but nothing visible on screen. I did a wipe and reload of application software to the latest version using Desktop Mgr to no avail.
I went online to FB and as I was backing out of it, the screen on my Blackberry went white. It would not shut down or anything. I did a hard reboot, but all that comes up is that white screen. I went to AT&T where we do most of our business, to no avail.
My Nexus 5 was working fine, and hasn't been dropped/damaged, but the screen has suddenly gone green and very faint. It still works but I can't figure out what the issue is. My guess is hardware?
When I say green and faint, I don't mean just a little bit, I mean a green/yellow hue all over the screen, and faint like someone has applied super high contrast in a photo editor.
Phone is stock, not rooted or modified in any way.
I am using blackberry curve 8520 and recently i am experiencing problems...the screen suddenly turns white and switches off and only when i connect it to the charger it switches back on...
I was using facebook and suddenly the screen went white and then it faded to black. Didn't drop it down, dint make it wet. Tried the lock and home button for 10 seconds too, did not work. The phone is just 2 weeks old.
My 3 months old iphone 5c screen suddenly turns black with the white Apple logo for a few seconds then returns to normal almost everyday especially while playing game like Dead Trigger 2 or while using the camera and sometimes while browing the web and after disconnected the call. The problem started since last week the screen just shows a sign connect to itune, after several attempts i succeed to restore it. Since then this problem occurred, the first time it happened the screen just black and I tried to switch on the phone but it doesn't not on and when I pressed the home button and the power button then the phone switch on.
My IPhone 5 suddenly turned off and can not be turned on.
It prompts me to use connect to iTunes . I have done all iTunes updates but it says it cannot be restored due to error 14.
It restored correctly once this weekend and functioned for all of an hour before it died.
I'm afraid I'm within days of the one year warranty. Because I live in a rural area I can't get to a Rogers or IApple store I cannot conveniently take it in for replacement or repair. Â
I've had nothing but problems since I updated to the os7.
If i love something on my GS6 is amazing screen, specialty true black color which gets truly black by shutting down pixels. so this happens every time, but not on lock screen. When I set black lock screen the black color is not truly black anymore and the back lid light is seen. Hope you understand what I'm trying to say. (its kind of disturbing to have black lock screen and home screen and when unlocking phone u get so clearly different color) - you can even try it out yourself and give it some feedback what u think of this here is link to the black wallpaper; BLACK WALLPAPER.So if any of you know how to fix that or this is something that cannot be done and i just have to say bye to true black color on lock screen?
