BB Bold 9000 :: How Can I Change Volume Rocker?
Apr 13, 2010If the berry rings while in the holster and I press "up" on the volume rocker, the incoming call alerts stop (stops ringing and vibrating), however, the call is not terminated.If I press "down" on the volume rocker instead, the call is ended and the call is sent to voicemail.Additionally, if I first press "up" to stop the ringing/vibrating and THEN press "down", the caller is NOT sent to voicemail.With the design of the Bold 9000 and my PDAIR holster, it's pure luck which button my finger hits when retrieving the berry after it starts vibrating/ringing.Is there any way I can change the behavior of the volume "down" rocker so it stops ending calls? Or is there some other measure I can take to achieve similar results?I'm using the Azercell 5.0.0.592 OS (installed fresh).

Issue: After upgrading to version 4.6.0.282 the ring tone volume is very low, even when the profile setting has the tone set to High I often miss the call, I have tried turning on "Audio Boost" with no change, tried a hard re-boot, no change. Volume of calls are fine, it's the ring tones, I have the same ring tone in use as before the O/S upgrade so this hasn't changed, no other (new) apps have been installed, just the O/S upgraded. I can't find any sort of master volume control setting in any of the forums is there such a setting, how do I get the volumes back to normal?

May 15, 2013One of the few things that mars the near perfect HTC One camera experience is the lack of volume rocker functionality when taking photos. The fact that it's not on by default is understandable, but that it's missing entirely is bewildering, what an oversight! Any chance there's a fix out there that doesn't involve using a different app?

I've had to reboot my N5 each and every time, and its getting very old very fast. I find I have to go into settings and change it there. I've read that there might be an app running that is using my volume, not allowing me to change it. When I went into my apps to see what's running, its the usual stuff. Nothing that would be using it. So, is there an app to find out if there is a rogue app running I don't know about?

Nov 6, 2011Had my HTC Sensation break today.Only had it 3 months so it's still under warranty. The volume rocker fell off. Called T-mobile. They said it was a known issue and would be covered but they said I had to call HTC. So I did. THEY said I had to mail back the BACK of the phone because it was an ACCESSORY! This was not a separate purchase. It was the back that came with the phone! The regular back cover. And after mailing the back, back to HTC they would mail me a replacement. Now if this is a known issue, why isn't T-mobile dealing with it as a customer service? I shouldn't have to mail it back to HTC. It is already an inconvenience to have to drive to the T-mobile store. Or HTC should cover postage. When Dell has to replce a part, they send you a prepaid return label. It is the last HTC phone I will buy and may be the last time I renew with T-mobile.

I can actually push it back in just a tad on the top side of the rocker, but not on the bottom.
If this is the way it is, well, so be it. If it's not, and nobody else has this issue, I'll be exchanging it later. I've done nothing to this phone but hold it in my hand and set it on my bedside table. The VZW rep put it in their black hard-shell case, which is very tight and hard to get off, but other than that, this has been babied during the whopping 16 hours I've had it.

The notifications and alarm volume setting turns down to very low even when I have set it to the highest volume level earlier that day or the day before. Its a problem when I'm using my phone as an alarm because I'll sleep through the alarm when it goes off and is very quiet! Is there anything I can do to stop it from resetting itself?

Jun 24, 2010I tried to make a call while wi-fi was on and connected, it wouldn't go through. likewise, when someone tried to call me when wi-fi was on, they went straight to voicemail. i tested it when i got home and same thing...wi-fi on, no voice. wi-fi off, voice calls work just fine.the only think i can think of is that i have skype installed but not logged in yet, so maybe it's trying to make calls that way? i'm going to be kinda bummed if i have to turn off wi-fi to use the phone.

Jul 2, 2010no matter what settings I use on the 9650 "Memory" settings. I cann't get any computer (Windows 7 or XP Pro) to recognize the device as "mass storage device" so I can access the memory card. There is plenty of items on the card, and I can access them fro mthe decive, but the computer won't "find" it. This is with DM 5.0 and 4.7, on windows XP Pro and Windows 7.

Jul 8, 2010I purchased the 9650 bold a few weeks ago. I do not do a lot of texting, but when I do, the texts are pretty long. On my old BB I hit the back arrow key and it saved to draft, (i would often have 4-5 texts in draft before I sent all out) If im not mistaken you cant do this on the new 9650?? Do I need to get an application to assist with this? ANy suggestions? Sorry if this is a rookie question but...Im a rookie when it comes to these phones.

Jun 21, 2010When I upgraded my 9630 to my new bold 9650 I had a 16gb micro sd card in the 9630. I copied all of the files from my card to my computer, put the 16gb card in my 9650 and formatted the card. I then copied all of the files from my computer back to the sd card and put the card back in the 9650. All seems to be ok, I have my pictures etc. When I go to connect my BB 9650 to my computer I get a message on the BB that says: "Content rights do not match this device. Please insert the media card back to the right device." this only happens if I have the memory option set to "Auto enable mass storage mode storage set to NO" Any ideas?

Jun 8, 2010Is anyone else having trouble using the "Vibrate in Holster" setting? My 8330 would automatically switch to vibrate when I put it in my holster that has the magnetic closure. My 9650 fits in the same holster but doesn't seem to switch to vibrate even though I have that setting chosen under my sounds profiles.
