Just purchased 6303i classic. Downloaded Nokia Suite. Tried every way to sync contacts but no success. Error message code 80043ab4. 1 suggestion was to uninstal Nokia Suite completely and start again. Have done that twice but contacts will still not sync. Same error number. At one point I found Nokia PC Suite and that synced my contacts, but I understand PC Suite is being discontinued and Nokia Suite is best flavour?
I just look at a GPS module original Nokia brand new, I use it with my Nokia 3720 Classic that Nokia Maps, but now wanted to use a device that I bought today at the Nokia Store, a Nokia Asha 302 has basically the same hardware Asha 303 but does not have Nokia Maps (Ovi Maps)and I can not find the program to install it, because Nokia has put in 303 Asha has no GPS and forgotten Asha 302?
Sounds ok but alas no. It always connects around midnight, I presume something is trying to update. As I have no free net usage is costs me £1 per night. I have had the phone for around 2 months and this has started since i had the phone, the only thing I have installed is the network provider info, no apps or nothing. My service provider says there is nothing wrong their end and it must be the phone, they have cut off my internet and the charges have stopped, so something is definitely trying to connect, but as I have said the phone is standard. I cannot find any reference to anyone else having the same problem on the internet, I have downloaded kaspersky anti virus and it has scanned my phone and says there are no viruses.
My E71 keeps connecting to the internet via mobile 02 everynight automatically (strangely always around 2 mins past midnight). Its cost me sixty pounds over the last 2 months. I've uninstalled most of my downloads incase one of them was automatically connecting for updates but this has made no difference. The other night I switched the phone off at midnight but it still connected when I turned it back on. I've rung 02 and they've said it must be to do with a setting on the phone.
hv a Nokia 9300i when i open the web browsers, and i connect at my wlan networkit saysInternet:Could not find specified Internet serverit can detect my wlan network and connect but cannot downloading the webpage...why.
When I am calling or getting called my phone automatically turns up/down the volume till maximum. Means, when I try to turn down the volume a little it automatically keeps on turning down till minimum (and the way arround). Even if I don't change the volume it automatically turns up.
When the phone reaches maximum volume it always 'beeps'.
How can I make WiFi connect automatically to my router why do I have to tell it to connect every time I can not see any auto settings Also seems to drop off after about 30 Min is this power save?
I am trying to set up my Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte to get my email automatically. I set up the mailbox and automatic retrieval but unfortunately the phone will not retrieve emails unless it is manually connected to mailbox and when it is it drops connection every 20-35 minutes. I have the mailbox update interval set to 6 hours but it won't retrieve them unless the connection to mailbox is active. Am I able to use this phone to get my email as on iPhone managing the connection itself?
When I try to use the internet always goes over GPRS, only if you use Facebook through social networks then it's fine. In all other situations consumes me credit. I followed your instructions and adjust the ASA first, but the situation has not changed.
I have problem with my Nokia5800 XM. Some of my applications can't connect to the internet. After I run them and allow them to connect it says that I have bad internet settings, which are fine because I can use web browser and Skype. Please help me because I'm really desperate, after I tried resetting my internet settings several time I even tried to reinstall software and it still doesn't work.
There's neither letter G nor H in the white box on my screen and at times only G without the box. It started all of a sudden tonight. Someone said there might be something wrong with the transmission towers as there's wind outside.
Is there any internet speed test app for Asha 311? I tried the speed test from [URL] but the result was very high. I have Airtel 3G and it always shows 3.5G.
whenever I try to open internet through wifi..it shows me error of no network coverage and later it shows "mobile data connection to internet has been turned off.Go to settings> connectivity>mobile data to turn it on back. Means, in my cell now internet browsing is only possible when mobile data is turn on.

I bought an unbranded 6700 classic on amazon and I tried to disable internet access completely.
So in the first place, there is no option to disable packet data or internet access at all... I can only choose between on demand and always online... thx for that!
I tried to make new hoax profiles with made up usernames and passwords for those data links and access points and set them as defaults but this phone always just connects to the internet by edge after all...
I also can't just delete my provider's access points which seem to be sitting on the sim card or however that works...
if there is a "reliable" method to block data/internet access? On sony ericsson devices there is at least some kind of workaround which works by setting the access points to ask for a password before they actually connect.. but in this phone there doesn't seem to be any option to protect myself to go online by accident..
