Asha 30/40 Series :: 5230 - Switching A Reminder Alarm Off?
Jul 5, 2011I recently bought a 5230 and set a reminder for this morning - worked perfectly and went off when it should but I couldn't make it stop again - or silence it either. In the end, I had to wait until it ran out of steam so that I could access the memo and take the reminder alarm off. Am I missing something obvious?

Feb 13, 2012My phone has about 90mb of space by what I can see. I have installed a microSD card and that has 4gigs.
My problem is that I can't seem to install anything for want of space. My pictures are on the card, my music is on the card. Even so my card has about 1.65GB of free space yet I can figure out how to move applications to the card. I installed the Suite today for Windows and one of the things it does it bug me to update programs like Maps... sounds good in theory but my phone filled up half way thru the installation process. how I can offload everything to the memory card?

Oct 29, 2012So, I was talking on my nokia 5250 and suddenly it turned off, it was charging, but now it just doesnt turn on at all. Plugged in it only shows the phone charging,but pressing the powerbutton still doesnt turn it on.

Dec 21, 2011i'm unable to install java applications or java games into e:/ memory card.. but i can only install them into phone memory and phone memory is full and phone memory is use when you open application to run.. so i need to put this jar/jad games & application to e:/ memory card.. but it only goes to 75% when installing then unable to install..please help.. many of application unable to run because phone memory is full.do i need something like install properly the memory card to lock into phone or something?

I tried a couple of times by using the Ovi PC Suite, but it resulted each time in error 12014 (backup of phone succeeded, but update not). Then I switched to Nokia Software Updater (also on PC) which seemed to work great. However, now the media key is not working anymore.

I have sort of trouble, and it ends up I have to re install my phone to 'unofficial' phone centre.The problem I'm having now, is that I have a trouble in my 'go to' menu or navigation shortcut. Whenever I tried to make an application to be assigned in a button or in the 'go to' menu, my phone is restarted with a blank screen. Jul 5, 2012I have upgraded the firmware of my Nokia Asha 300 twice (first to v07.44, second to v07.49) via Nokia Suite and both upgrades went without errors. The problem is that none of the applications seem to have been upgraded. On my device, Nokia browser is still at version 1.0.2. Information on the internet says that 07.44 was supposed to give me browser v1.5 and 07.49 was supposed to give me 2.0. No other app seems to have been upgraded either. (Could someone tell me what versions numbers I'm supposed have with firmware v07.49?) In fact the only change I can detect is that the version number of the firmware now reads 07.49 in Settings -> Phone -> etc.. Also Nokia Suite says that my phone is up to date. It seems two firmware upgrades have been failures and Nokia Suite does not even realize it.

Jul 19, 2012I purchased Asha 302 about 20 days ago and while going through the features when I recorded some voice using voice recorded output was distorted, I contacted Nokia support through email and was told to restore factory setting. After doing the same I recorded and played AMR file it was fine but as soon as I received a call and then I checked the same recorded AMR file it was againt distorted. I reported same to Nokia support and was told to contact Nokia Care Centre which I visited yesterday there NCC people re-installed the software/OS but the problem persists. I was told that phone has to be sent back to company. I am having another Nokia C2 phone which is fine and no such problem there in that model.
