IPhone 5s :: Error 14 While Restoring After Disconnecting At Restore
Jun 24, 2014
So yesterday I was restoring my iPhone 5S from 7.0.4 to 7.1.1 on my Windows 8 system and it got stuck at around 20-30%, I waited an hour or two and it didn't move, so I disconnected the iPhone assuming it doesn't matter if the OS will be corrupted since I want to restore, when I tried another restore it started giving me Error 14, and seems to show the error around the same percentages I disconnected it while it first restored.
I tried downloading the IPSW again from the internet about 4 times from different places too, when I try to let iTunes download it it just says the file was corrupted when the download finishes (tried 5 times) I tried turning off ALL security on my computer, I even uninstalled AVG and turned off Windows firewall, I also tried all the USB ports. when all that failed I got my old computer out of the basement and plugged in it, updated iTunes and what not then tried to restore, and it gave me the same error. This is when I started to worry this may not be something with my computer, but something with the iPhone... Did I brick my phone? What can I do??
My phone has been unusable for over 24 hours now, it just shows the connect to iTunes logo, I also tried putting it in DFU, which doesn't work.
I have been trying to restore my iPhone for about 12 hours now, and I'm about to pull my hair out if it doesn't work soon. The restore to factory settings goes fine, and then when I begin to set it up, it first gives me trouble activating it, but I just press continue when it says it hasn't been activated and a few minutes later I have signal. The next problem arises when I try and restore it from a iCloud backup. I have tried 3 different back ups, all 3 have given me the same problem. They say there is anywhere from 15-45 hours remaining, and it gets stuck at about a centimeter along the progress bar of the restoring settings part. I have not been able to get past this. Quite a few times it has said that my internet connection failed and I'll need to restart the restore. I know this most likely isn't true because I'll be on the computer at that exact point and not have an issue with the computer. I also have a very stable internet connection, and very fast. When I have done restores in the past it took about five minutes.
I had to just restore my iPhone and just wondering if during the Restore Process(where only apple logo was on screen) if someone text messaged me, would it still of come through, after the Restore Process was finished? i just want to make sure i havent missed any messages.
I have my sister-in-law's iPhone 4S at the moment, When I click restore on iTunes I get error (-1), I searched on Google. We do not want a load of money put into this phone going to waste.
fixing error -1 when restoring iphone 3gs after 5.1 crash. my phone was working for about two days after update to 5.1 but all of a suden it restarted it's self and came up with the message (needs to be activated) conect to itunes. after trying to restore my phone it comes up with the message (the iphone could not be restored an unknown error ocurred (-1))
I'm not paying $30 for some guy to support me for something they screwed up on. Tried to update my 3GS to latest iOS and once it finished, it gave me that error in the topic name. Lost my contacts, pics, applications and everything else. It's cool, I don't have people to talk to or a job -- who needs money and a social circle?
I am having problems with my iPhone. I am try to restore it to 5.1 and on the screen where it says "Waiting for iPhone", the screen will just show iTunes error 9. I already tried to uninstall (All Apple products on my Windows --- in order) and re-install iTunes (with PC restart) and I am still getting the same error.

Since 3 days I try to restore my iphone 4s in itunes but it does not work. It started with the problem that I did not get connection to the mobile net..... so I tried to restore it in itunes 10.6.1 with firmware 5.1.I followed all advices (no firewall, no virus detection, change hosts)
My Iphone needed to be restore according to itunes. But it was not able to restore due to error 28. I took my phone to a seller who opened my phone but he was not able to fix it. After that I find out that my warranty was lost and apple can not replace my phone although it is in the 1 year warranty. How can I fix it in order to be able to use my phone now since apple will refuse to fix it because it was opened by someone else.
My iPhone 4 suddenly went black. Now it won't turn back on, it's says to plug in to iTunes and that I need to restore my device. But when I restore my device, it gives error 21. I have the latest version of iTunes and the latest update on my PC. The support page isn't very useful, as I keep getting error 21. What to do?
I'm using an iphone 4. I've the latest version of itunes, and i was using 5.0 firmware. Later i downloaded the latest firmware version and while i was restoring an UNKNOWN ERROR (14) occured and currently my phone is in recovery mode.
We went to Walnut Creek Store to take a look at our freezing iphone. They restored it and said when we plug it in select Set up new phone, the problem is when we plugged it in we did not get any notification stating that it was a "new" phone. I then tried to restore it myself using itunes and partially through the process I get a dialog error saying, Iphone "Iphone" could not be restored. An Unknown error occurred(14). The only thing we get on it now is the plug into Itunes picture on the front but when we plug it into itunes we cant do anything.
Im trying to restore my iphone 3G, i used itunes to restore it so it downloaded the iOS, after that it gives me the error 1015, when i read about the error then it tells me that i was downgrading, but how come since i used itunes to restore? why didnt it automatically provide me with the latest software made perfectly for the iPhone?
I could not start my Iphone 3GS, The home screen show the icon on itunes & USB cable. During restoring process it show the error number 28. What is the problem with this phone?
