IPhone 4s :: Disabled ITunes / ICloud Not Working To Restore
Jun 24, 2014
My mother in law gave my son her iphone 4s, it is deactivated, however she left the password on it. My son tried entering random number (instead of asking what the code was), and now the iphone is locked with message "iphone is disabled connect to itunes". I've tried resetting and restarting the phone with no luck. It was never connected to itunes before. I've tried putting it in recovery mode whole connected to itunes, downloaded the updates, and all looks great, until i get a message that it can not finish as iphone is passlocked. I'm stuck in a never-ending loop. Also, tried find my phone from her ipad, but since it is a deactivated phone, it can not find it. Get message that it will erase when connected to internet-which we can't do since we can't get into any screen but the emergency call screen. Tried connecting to her wifi, as she had, but nothing. Can I fix it from home or must I drive all the way to the apple store?
I have the basic 5gb free storage from icloud. I stored my contacts on there and thats pretty much it. My iphone4 got lost so I got a new SIM card and put it into my fiancees old phone (also an iphone4). When i put in the new SIM, it downloaded all of my contacts to the phone immediately. But now, I need to plug into iTunes to get my apps and music. Only problem is, for some reason the last time iTunes did a sync it only copied 60 contacts into my MacBook Pro address book. HELP!!!
I lost my phone and needed to get a replacement. When I did, I started the activation process, but never got prompted to restore from iCloud, just from my last backup in iTunes. I've run the restoration, and the backup was pretty out of date. Is there a way to restore the backup I'd set up in iCloud at this point?

My son tried entering random number (instead of asking what the code was), and now the iphone is locked with message "iphone is disabled connect to itunes". I've tried resetting and restarting the phone with no luck. It was never connected to itunes before, she didn't use icloud, and she never had it set to find her iphone so those options are out. I've tried putting it in recovery mode whole connected to itunes, downloaded the updates, and all looks great, until i get a message that it can not finish as iphone is passlocked. When I got the second iphone, I am facing so many problem with iphone such as face time is not working, icloud is not working, iphone is not synchronized with itune. I have create a new id. I have reset my phone 4 times. I have read many article in this forum. But everything doesn't work.
When setting up my new iPhone 4s, should I restore from icloud or itunes backup? Or set up as a new iPhone? The phone number is staying the same from my iPhone 4.
I recently downloaded the DataMan app to track the usage of data on my iPhone and noticed that my iCloud was using more than I had realised. In order to avoid any excess use charges I deleted my iCloud account and was surprised to see that the iCloud data usage remained the same even though it was completely disabled. How do I stop iCloud using data completely?
I switched iphones today with a friend of mine. I made sure that I had backed up everything to my computer AND iCloud before doing the trade. Did it, everything set up fine. Restored through iTunes and then turned on. I still had my email, texts, call logs, contacts and notes. But all my apps and songs are gone. How do i get them back?
How can I restore my iPhone 3gs when it is disabled and iTunes won't let you do anything until you unlock it? I want to sell it so restoring it doesn't bother me at all.
My iPhone is disabled because i forgot my pass code. But it keeps telling me to connect to iTunes. I recently got a new laptop so my iPhone hasn't been synced to it. I've read online literally every possible way to restore it. But every time i have to put my pass code in, but i cant. All i get is the emergency call thing. how to restore it back to factory settings.Â
I forgot my passcode and now it is saying IPhone is disabled connect to itunes and I tried to connect with itunes but nothing happened and I think I will have the option to unlock it by restore but I don't want my things to go is there any way that I can unlock it without restore.
I lost my phone, an iphone 4S. I have an older 3GS as well as an icloud account that was set up when I bought the new one. How do I do this? When they gave me a new SIM card for my 3GS and reactivated it, the phone was right where it left off when I shut it down and turned on the new one.
I bought a iPhone 4S and thought all my data from my 3GS was going to be transferred - surprise didn't happen. Is there a way to move my data stored in iCloud to my new phone?
Is there a way to restore my device to an old iCloud backup? Yesterday I had to restore my device with my iTunes backup and it was months old and I'm afraid that now my iCloud backup is overwritten. Is there a way to choose whick backup I want to restore and say, 2 days ago instead of the latest one?
I purchased a new iPhone 3GS and started using it. I set up iCloud backup, and chose to save all my contacts etc to iCloud. The device was defective, so I had to exchange it. When setting up the new device, it doesn't seem to see the backup I made. It makes me setup a new device. After I setup the new device when I go to iCloud settings, I can see the backup I made earlier, but there is no way to restore it. What should I do? There is no apple store in my country. When I erase the phone and try to set it up it doesn't "see" the backup, and makes me setup a new phone. After setting up the phone it can see the backup (In iCloud settings I can see it), but there is no restore option. When I log into [URL], I can see all the contacts, so it has indeed been backed up. I just don't know how to get it on the phone.
Today I backed up my iPhone to iCloud before restoring. Now my iPhone is restoring from the Computer backup from 6 months ago, not from iCloud. How can I restore from today's iCloud backup?
I just got a new iPhone 4S yesterday due to a speaker that wasn't working. The Genius Bar helper confirmed that I had backed up everything yesterday morning and so last night he deleted my old iphone material and then restored on the new phone. However, the restore, when finished, didn't include a lot of apps and some data was missing.if I can still try to restore it? Don't know how or why this happened.I had it set to store all data.It also didn't restore to the newest software although it had been upgraded.
if I can simply restore from iCloud directly on my phone, without having to directly connect to iTunes. Will the unlock process still finish if I restore via iCloud, or do I have to connect to iTunes?
Restoring from iCloud backup: I downloaded iTunes, synched my iPhone 4s, and don't see any email, contacts, calendar items, photos, videos, or text messages. The screen does say the last backup to iCloud was minutes ago, but I have no idea how to check iCloud to make sure all my stuff is there before I restore my iPhone. (I need to restore the iPhone because it's having problems and Apple told me to do that through iTunes.) Apple told me I'd see everything in iTunes and could copy the stuff over once the restore is complete, but I just don't see anything in iTunes.
I purchased an iPhone 5S yesterday to upgrade from my 4S. I had everything backed up to iCloud. When I got the new phone, I restored the phone from the prior iCloud backup.
It went mostly smoothly, except it is still going. iCloud says it is still restoring and maybe half of my 1300+ photos are available. One the bottom of photos, it says "Downloading..."
I had to go different places in the past day or so, and I have been in and out of Wi-Fi. Is that the problem? Should it automatically continue to restore when I am back with a Wi-Fi connection? Is there a way to jump start this to make sure it is continuing?Â
I'm trying to restore a new iPhone from the Cloud but keep getting the following error message - Could Not Sign In - There was a problem connecting to the server. Wi-fi connection is good and Apple ID and password are all correct. What does this mean and how to I resolve?!
