In the last few minutes, I've been looking at the iPhone 4 screen; tilting in any direction just to see one pixel. I can't.
I place it on the computer desk and notice how much nicer it looks from a distance. I put it a few inches in front of my nose - I still see the quality of it.

Just a quick heads up to others buying matte or 'privacy' screen protectors (mine is from PhoneDevil, they're really good quality btw), the ones made for the older iPhones will really dampen the sharpness and pop on the new Retina Displays on the iPhone 4. Also, the cutouts for the speaker and home button just about fit, but the front camera becomes fuzzy because its covered.
I'm willing to sacrifice these for now since I have no one to facetime with and I'm a bit OCD about fingerprints and scratch protection which are dealt with. I'm just hoping a manufacturer produces an updated iPhone 4 version which won't have such a noticeable effect on screen quality. Damn you Apple for your making me accustomise to such an amazing screen so quickly

I plug in my headphones, fire up either spotify or GPM (more prevalent and noticible w/ GPM), start a song, lock screen, go about my business. From here, there is no noticible drop in sound quality...until I wake my screen. As soon as the screen wakes the audio quality and volume increases. Better lows, crisper highes, etc. It's not killing my experience, but I can notice it so of course it bothers the geek in me and I've gotta figure out what's going on. Is boomsound not activating?

My iPhone 4s has suddenly changed to a really poor picture quality, today i compared it with my friend's iPhone 4s and the difference was astonishing. My iPhone takes quite blurry pictures. I was just wondering if there were any ways of cleaning it or anything that i could do to get the picture quality back to what it used to be.. I reckon it would be a hardware related issue, seeing as i have just updated to the latest software and i have tried resetting the phone but i am still having these issues.

did a little search and read some threads about bad upload quality for the new ip4, but mostly what i read was that it was usually due to 3g. so i used wifi and it still seems like my video has really ****** quality. like not even 360p quality. anybody know the problem? i tried to search but didn't see a setting for upload resolution on the phone.
edit: nvm, seems like it has gotten a little better, but another video i uploaded on facebook still has ****** quality. now the question is, why is it not allowing me to select 720p on Internet?

Even with flash activated in very decent indoor light, the shutter speed seems to default to 1/20 second. Since it's virtually impossible to hold any camera - much less an iPhone - perfectly still at that slow of a speed, the shots are predictably blurry and most are simply unusable. (BTW, none of the shots I'm describing are zoomed and hdr is off.)

Is anyone else having issues loading video to Facebook. Every time I upload an iPhone4 high quality video to Facebook, through their app, the video appears in Facebook very grainy and pixelated. If I upload the video from my MAC to the Facebook website, the video maintains its high level of quality. Do you happen to know if the compression in the Facebook app is causing this issue? If yes, is there a way to fix it?

My question is: is there that big of a noticeable difference in quality between those and a $1.99 screen protector from Meritline?
I used the Incipio Feather on my 3GS, and used the screen protector included. It was clear; I had no trouble applying it; it didn't feel "orange peely" - it basically worked fine.
Does anyone have comparison pics (even on an old phone) that shows the diff between generic cheapo films, and the ones that cost 10x as much?

So, .mov kinda *****. Consoles and other players generally dont recognise it. I want to convert high def .mov footage captured on my iPhone to a high def format playable on a TV or PS3, etc. (such as .mkv or .avi). Converters I've used so far always massively degrade the quality.

iPhone 4S I've noticed when traveling, sometimes I'll have several signal quality bars showing but the 3G indication has changed to a circle. I'm assuming that means I am out of range of a Verizon Data circuit but I'm roaming as far as calls are concerned. Are the two indications unrelated? i.e. Are the bars indicating call signal quality and the 3G only tells me I have a data signal or not?If so, is there a way to determine the strength of the 3G data connection? I'm currently in a location where the iPhone has 3 to 4 bars and 3G and am using the personal hotspot to connect to a laptop. I never lose the Wi-Fi connection between the laptop and iPhone but the internet connection keeps dropping out. If I cycle the hotspot switch, the internet connection returns. So, I'm wondering if the call signal is strong but the data signal is marginal or is it and issue with the phone?

Ever since I upgraded from 5.0.1, my 4s has had the worst cal quality on At&t. It makes calls fine however once in conversation my voice drops out for 2-3 seconds about 10 times a min according to the folks I am speaking with. And when my voice does come through it sounds muffled. I always have at least 4-5 bars. I have traded in my 4s now four times but every phone I get in return comes pre-loaded with 5.1. Is there a way to drop back down to ios 5.0.1?

i've had my iphone 4s for about half a year now and the sound coming out of the built-in speaker has been working fine until today. i didn't do anything out of the ordinary. i just opened up a video from Internet and noticed the sound was considerably less clear than usual. when i use earphones, the sound is crystal clear but when it comes out of the speaker, it's very scratchy and fuzzy. earlier today it was working fine. rebooting my iphone didn't help. i don't know if it's a firmware problem as i updated to 5.1.1 as soon as it was availible.

I just installed iOS4 on both our 3Gs and 3G on both phones there are approx 500 high quality pic's at approx 1000 x 750 pixels size all pictures seem to have lost quality completely (on both phones) to the point that they're now useless for viewing on screen. Previously, clarity was crystal, now they're grainy and almost indistinguishable.
