Jul 6, 2012I have an iPhone 4 on 3 UK, with unlimited data and unlimited tethering. I also have an LG smart tv, but no Wifi dongle with it, just standard RJ45 ethernet port.
Can I use my iPhone as a hotspot, connected to my laptop either via Wifi or USB, and set up an Ad-hoc network on the laptop to allow my tv internet access via ethernet cable? The laptop is running on windows 7 if that makes any difference.

Nov 22, 2010I'm having trouble getting my X10 mini pro to pair with my laptop via bluetooth so thought I'd post here for some help. I've no problem connecting via USB.In 'Settings' -> 'Wireless & Network Settings' -> 'Bluetooth Settings' -> 'Bluetooth Devices' my laptop is visible, and underneath it says 'Pair with this device.When I press that I have a Bluetooth pairing request, which says 'To pair YOUR PC, confirm that it is showing the passkey: 123456' (number changes each time). I choose the 'Pair' option but keep getting back 'Attention - There was a problem pairing with YOUR PC because the pin or passkey is incorrect.' How do I enter this passkey? I get the feeling there's a simple solution to this that I'm missing. I've paired the phone with both the MBS 100 and 200 with no problems at all. The laptop is a Sony Vaio and bluetooth is definitely on - is there a compatibility issue between the two?

I cannot use it that way, as I do not have appropriate corporate approvals for this. Is it possible to sync only to the laptop calendar, if so, how do I do this, do I need an extra piece of software? If I can't set it up in this this way, I'll be returning the phone, as it is no good to me as is.

Jan 11, 2012I have just bought my Xperia Mini Pro and I have not been able to establish an internet connection through WiFi. It will start and there is a connection, but no data are collected. Internet does not work, or, I must end WiFi, re-open it, then I have internet for maybe 20 seconds, then internet disappears although the WiFi connection exists. I have downloaded WiFi Analyzer and that says I am connected. I have downloaded WiFi Fixer, that ends the WiFi connection and reassociates, then I can connect to the internet for some seconds, and again it is gone. I have read many complaints about the poor WiFi connection these last days, as I am searching the internet to find a solution. Can anyone please help me? Does anyone know how to solve this? I have a HTC Legend that connects just fine with WiFi, no problems at all. If this persists, I have no alternative but to take the phone back.
