Xperia X10 Mini/pro :: The Application Messaging (process Com.sonyericsson.conversations) Has Stopped Unexpectedly
Dec 31, 2010
I have this message: The application Messaging (process com.sonyericsson.conversations) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. And a button "Force close" This message appears when I open my Messaging icon, when I open new incoming message and when I try to send a message. At the moment I can receive, but can't send any messages at all. This problem just happened on its own. Everything was fine. I was sending messages to my friends with Happy New Year stuff and then bam!I have Xperia X10 mini pro with Android 2.1?
Mainly happens while on facebook mobile, and will occure while typing completely randomly. The reply from support is simply update software, I can't see why I have to do all this, as apart from anything else I don't currently have a phone line for internet due to illegal BT sales activity! It is also suggested that I send phone off in a jiffy bag to be repaired if unsuccessful, and what do I do for a phone in the mean time?? Not only that they suggest that it will cost me if it is not a fault they cover.
While configuring my Gmail account in my Xperia X10 Mini, I am constantly getting this message The application Setup Wizard (process com.android.setupwizard) has stopped unexpectedly, and I am unable to go any further. What could be the reason for this?
My Xperia X10 mini got switched off automatically and since then it is showing that "sorry, the process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly, with an option tab for 'Force close'." And since then it is not rceiving or sending any signal. It is also not getting connected to the PC. My repeated attempts by switching it OFF-on have yielded no results. That sorry window doesnot allow me to access anything in the mobile but for some duration of milliseconds when it is force closed with the option tab.
I get the above message when powering on my X10 mini pro
The full error message is
Sorry! The application Setup guide(process com.sonyericsson.setupwizard) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
I have tried a reset as well as removing the battery but get this message every time. The message just loops each time it is cancelled. This stops the phone from connecting via usb to a pc. It looks like the phone is corrupted and needs to be returned for repair.
Before I do so is there anything obvious I should try? The phone is running android 2.1
I keep getting this error since the latest update." the process android.process.media has stopped unexpectedly. try again"it will pretty much pop up when ever, but especially when I try and go to my gallery or try and take a picture or video. It is also even stopping for from doing simple task like letting my alarm clock on my xperia.I have tried to repair my phone through the sony companion but it always comes up with an error with about quater of the way too go.
When I try to use applications such as the camera or music, I receive a screen saying Force Close, "process.android.process.media has stopped unexpectedly, try again" why this has occured and how to rectify?
Came to use my MA for my ride into work this morning, and the screen simply says "The application Launcher (process com.android.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" and has a force close button.Hitting the Force Close causes the message to re-appear.Powering off and back on again, causes the message to re-appear.Is there a way to reset the device using the buttons (I have no menus, navigation or anything other than the message above so cant go to the config to do a factory reset).
I've had my Xoom for 3 weeks now. It worked okay with no error messages until last week. Everytime I turn it on, it displays this message:The Process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please retry again.Forceclose Report?I have chosen Report and filled that out, but now just hit Forceclose and it resumes and I don't seem to have any problems.
My Track ID as stopped working on my x10i phone, all it says when you click on it is " The Track ID ( process com.sonyecricsson.trackid.client.rachael) has stopped unexpectedly. please try again. What can i do to get it working again ?
When I view my contacts and pull up the menu to choose settings. I go to choose AT&T Address Book - You can change your address book settings. When I choose it I get the error : The application Contacts (process com.motorola.blur.contacts) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. The only thing odd I can find is that com.motorola.settings.anr.
My 'phone says "application Mail process com.htc.andriod.mail has stopped unexpectedly" - wot zat about then? This 'phone has Android version 2.3.3 as originally supplied here in the UK It has stopped all email collection from my 'phone that was working well before Text messaging is fine and the sim works in another 'phone - no problems there?
i'm using sony erricson xperia mini mobile phone...i got the error com.android.phone has been stopped unexpectedly with force close message,if i give the force close...it appears again and again, network has been lost(no tower). i gave factory restore default, after giving this all application lost and mobile working. suppose i restart the mobile means the same error has been occuring.
I dont like the conversation set up in in text messaging, is there anyway you can change the settings to just show the messages instead of being grouped as a conversation?
I've been using my Motorola Atrix for over 3 months without any problems. Very happy with this phone. After the last upgrate of Android (2.3.4), I started having problems with the camera. Sometimes, I get the following message:"Sorry! The application Camera (process com.motorola.Camera) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again".The only option is to click on "Force close". However, I can try as many times I want to run the camera app and I keep getting the same message, and not being able to use the camera at all. The only solution is to restart my cell phone which is very inconvinient.
Can't get places & Check in to work on Facebook. Error : Every time I go into places to check in I get " The application Facebook ( process com.facebook.katana) has stopped unexpectedly. Pleas try again. Don't think I have it set up right.
I have been using Atrix for about 6 months now and have suddenly faced an issue. If I press the search button while browsing through applications, I get the following error:"The application Home (process com.motorola.home) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."After I am forced to "force close" this, automatically all recently used (probably running) apps get started. To elaborate on the problem. It occurs every time I perform following steps.
1. I'm on the home screen
2. Press the Apps button (to view all installed apps)
3. Press the search button
Effects:
1. Error pop-up : Application Home has stopped unexpectedly (Exact message given above)
2. Click on "Force Close" button on the error popup
3. Screen blanks out for a couple of seconds and the home screen reappears. In case any other applications are running in the background originally, then all those apps start ie they occupy the screen (instead of home screen).
When I try to access the manage applications option under settings, it shows the spinning icon stating its working and then finally the apps look like they're loaded and when I try to scroll down it is EXTREMELY slow. After scrolling for a couple of seconds, it slows down and then stops. After being frozen for about a minute,I get the infamous black popup stating: process com.android.settings has stopped unexpectedly...force close. Also, I am unable to add quick dial contacts. I can get to the screen where it show 1-9 options with Voicemail alredy being #1, but I long press the number I want to edit and then select the contact to use but when it exits back to the quick dial page the contact I just chose is not there.I have the extended battery and prior to the GB update, my battery widget was showing 4200-4230 for the mV readings. Now, it is only showing up to 4155. I put the stock battery in to check that and the same thing, it stops at 4155.
I'll be sending or reading a received text or reading through some old ones, and the messaging service will crash, i'll then open handcent and the same thing will happen. it will come up with the message "the application has stopped unexpectedly.try again" with options force close or wait, i'll select force close, re-open it and it comes up again.
using a HTC Desire HD using Andoid 2.21 and everytime I try to add text to a text message or when I connect to the internet I get the error message. The application Message(process com.android.mms)has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. With a force close button
I have bought my MOTOACTV 8GB about two months ago. I have had no problems with all the device functionalities (music playing, bluetooth pairing with earphones and phone notifications with a non-motorola phone, phone calls through the MOTOACTV, GPS, pairing with a BLE Polar H7 heart rate sensor,...) until the latest update (MA 1.7.3 N8).I updated to MA 1.7.3 N8 (from MA 1.6.13 N8) two weeks ago, and the weather notifications with the updated MOTOACTV app worked also fine. But when I went running, after hitting the "Quick start" for the workout (the same happened after setting a target or hitting the "Fit test"), I got the following error:"Sorry. The application Workout (com.motorola.gault.activity) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."After a few trials, I noticed it happened only when the MOTOACTV was trying to pair with the BLE sensor. If I empty the sensor list on the MOTOACTV configuration, the workout can be started, but without the heart rate functionality.
Another symptom I get is that I cannot pair my MOTOACTV with my phone anymore. The MOTOACTV forgets the pairing: everytime I go to "Configuration->General->Smartphone Setup", I get the question about the phone having Android 2.1 for discovering a new phone. On the other hand, I can perfectly pair my bluetooth earphones and listen to music through them, so it is not a HW bluetooth related issue.I have tried restoring factory defaults several times, erasing all the music and podcasts on the device, and configuring the BLE HR sensor, the MOTOCAST account, and the phone pairing in different order, all without success, getting exactly these two problems; I am starting to think that the software on the device has become corrupted since I updated to the latest version.
I lost the SonyEricsson customization on XperiaMini Pro, and I don't know who i did I am now with a standard Android phone.I don't know how to come back
Anyone getting the error, "The process xxxx has stopped unexpectedly" with one button that says "forced close"? If so what can be done to prevent it. I was at the end of my run yesterday and stopped my run on the Motoactv. When I clicked the button to stop the run, the error popped up. When I clicked the "forced close" button, I lost my entire run. The run can no longer be seen in my recent workout list. It was disappointing to loose the data. I was not running any music when this happened. I was only using the exercise mode at the time. My software version is 1.7.2 N8. I would suggest that the watch needs an option to make incremental saves automatically every lap. That way if the watch does crash or the watch is accidentally turned off, the entire workout is not lost.
For the past couple of days, my Devour has been giving he message that applications have "stopped unexpectedly." The applications it refers to are often either My Verizon Mobile or Messaging. I believe it started when I updated. Is there a way to stop this? Also, my contacts were all deleted about an hour ago. Fortunately, most of them were recovered within about 15 minutes, but none of them have their corresponding pcitures, and my phone is not collecting contact information from Facebook as it used to. Also, when I view a certain contact, it becomes linked with my own information, even after unlinking and deleting my own contact. How can I fix this mess and retrieve contacts from facebook?
Recently I've upgraded my SE Xperia mini pro to Android Icecream Sandwich 4.0.After upgrading I'm facing issue with Inbuilt Messaging application. It immediately clears all my messages, thereafter all messages appears back some time later .Even problem appearing in 3rd Party - PANSI Messaging application too.I've grouped my messages in folders other than to keep all in Inbox. This immediately removes all messages from folders and sits all in INBOX which is very time consuming for grouping again n again.
I have reported this so many times to BB that I am starting to think they don't really have anyone out there fixing these things as we have had at least one update since the first report and its still happening. My device freezes up and eventually comes back with the following message:Uncaught exception: Application net-rim-bb-messaging-app (148) is not responding: process terminated. Then control is returned to the device. Its now starting to freeze up when I turn the device on first thing in the morning, though here it doesn't normally come up with the message but after about 5 mins will give me access to the device.
i lost all my messages as suddenly my sony ericsson conversation application got failed. It asked me to force close it but when it did that it asked me to do it again and again. so i switched off my mobile and when i turned it on all my messages were gone?
Right out of the box and after running the firmware upgrade I am now getting the following error on the clock screen:
"The application Launcher (process come.android.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
There is a bar button below the message that says "Force Close". This error also occurs when you select "Battery Saver" under settings. There are also missing menu items under Settings. For instance there is no way to change clocks. The device boots up normally without errors and successfully has taken my Personal Profile settings. I also have been able to sync music to it and it plays and works with my Motorola S10 BT headphones.I have tried resetting to factory and then resyncing but no luck. I've powered it off/on many times but no luck. Everything was working fine before the upgrade. That is as far as I can tell anyhow. I only had it on 1/2 day today and did the upgrade.
