Xperia Pro/Neo/V/L :: How To Use The Video Trimmer
Aug 3, 2011
I'm trying to trim the end off a video I've recorded on my Xperia Neo.
When I try to edit the video (through the camera function) there is a bar, showing the length of the video (1.34) with a marker at each end. I know I want the video to end at 54 seconds, so I move the end marker to 54 seconds. If I click play and then the arrow at the left of the screen, it takes me to the 'new' end place of 54 seconds and the video length shown above changes to 54 seconds too. I then click save and it appears to save. However, when I click on the video again to open it (as it gets automatically closed when I do the above) it is back to 1.34 again
I should point out that my attempts to trim this video are purely trial and error as I've been unable to find instructions on how to use this function anywhere!
I have X10 mini pro and was wondering if there is any way to take video out of the screen to stream it over projector either by bluetooth or micro USB support. Also any chances of netflix access through the existing browser?
i tried many video players like mx video, mobo, vlc etc but none of them can play hd mkv video file correctly..earlier i had live with walkman and now i changed to neo v but problem not solved..so is there any compatible video player in the market?
I have been using Sony Xperia Z2 for some weeks now and I noticed that the video camera is not working. Anytime I click on it, it shows me error that the camera is not available.
I seem to be having a problem with my Sony Experia z2, I can take photos and record videos but when I go to view them it comes up with "cannot play video" and the photos won't load up(just a black screen).
I am unable to play video. This is video from any application I have installed, Facebook, YouTube, even video advertising embedded in games doesn't play.
I have tried clearing application data, I have tried a factory reset, I have tried using the repair feature in Sony PC Companion.
The problem persists regardless of whether I'm using wifi or mobile data.
1. If I choose the 'video' icon from the menu (in the menu where you find 'Browser', 'Settings' etc.) this is always empty. Videos taken with the phone itself always appear under 'Album', where you also see the pictures taken with the camera. How do I move videos to the 'Video' icon and can I create subfolders to organize them?
2. If I connect the phone to my pc (it is displayed as drive i: phone_card) and I copy a video to i:I:video, after discaonnecting I cannot find this video on my phone. How do copy a video file to the phone and where do I find it on the phone?
I can't make video calls from my xperia x10. In the show room the executives are telling like this "when u insert the 3g sim automatically front cam is activated in your moblie".
When When When this simple feature will be added in the SE Neo V even Nokia N 70 has this which a 5 years old Mobile hand set Very Poor to see know one talks enough about it
I recently bought an xperia ray and was taking videos holding the phone upright (portrait mode) but when i play it back from the gallery i have to turn the phone upside down but straight up to watch it in full screen! is that normal?should i download a video player app to rewatch my recorded videos? I didnt change any of the settings before recording so i dont understand how this happened! and is video support only for landscape mode. and i checked and my latest update 4.0.2.A.0.42 but before I update I wanted to know if this is the one that will get rid of the cool retro shut down animation (i'm on 2.3.3 still) ? if yes, is it worth the update? I read the update also adds the swipe keyboard and panorama settings and other camera settings. but I also have touchpal keyboard for swipe. so is it worth updating? and I'm in australia but imported my xperia ray from the uk so will that affect my update?
As ICS update is yet to come to INDIA, in the meantime Can anyone make a video of ICS running on Xperia phone showing new features and pros and cons. As some of them already had ICS on their Xperias. A video makes clear is it smooth or laggy.A detailed review if possible.
After having used the Ray for some time the video goes blank to save energy, but i can't resume video display even if i press the power key or the HOME button. To again have the display I have to remove the battery for some seconds.
I'm using Xperia P since 4 months. I'm facing video file copy/paste problem. Some videos not copying from my Pc to my phone but the same video copying from another Pc. What is the problem?
I'm unable to record any video on my z3+. My camera app launches fine, but when I try and record it becomes extremely slow and unresponsive. When it doesn't crash it records extremely choppy videos that are barely watchable. (please note, this is regular recordings, not 4k). I have the same problem in third party camera apps. I've tried all sorts, forcing the camera app to stop, clearing data, reseting etc. I've just done a factory reset and the problem remains. Also, I'm unable to download the high res music from the promotion (posted that in another thread).
Together with the overheating issues I'm seriously regretting getting this phone, and recommend others dont. I'll probably be returning it this week. It's a shame because I really liked my Xperia z.
My Z3 plays about three quarters of a video, then stops and says ;Cannot play video. Invalid URL. whats url got to do with a prerecorded video. This happens with the built in player and also vlc player.
My videos used to be ok. But now I have issues when recording videos with my Z3. Sometimes the video seems to lag during the recording. Not much but you can see it. When I check the recording, I see that the sound and the picture are out of sync. The pictures start first. When the movie is over, you can still hear the sound (slightly less than half a second). I recently set my phone to encrypted mode. I am not sure if this might be causing the issues I have.
When using video chat apps such as Google Hangouts with Z2, I experienced severe audio echoing throughout the call.
I understand the usual way to solve this issue is to use headset. But this echo issue wasn't so bad with my previous devices (Z, Tablet Z)
Echoes on Z2 starts as soon as I speak and it doesn't end until I mute the microphone. It's also loud enough to make me unable to hear anything from the other end of the call.
Is there any way to use 4K video recording in more than 10 mins? Because i try to use it but it closes after 5 mins due to temperature rising (auto close).
I can only asume these 2 issues are somehow linked, when I try to watch a video on Facebook I get an error "the video cannot be played, an unknown error occured, if I open the same video in youtube, I just get a black screen, a reboot will fix it for a little while but not long, when I get the error, it will not let me record video with the camera either, just says camera is not available as soon as I hit record, mines a z2 and the problem only started since the lollipop update, if I reboot, I can watch videos and record video, after a while both errors return, its getting very annoying.
I have got the Sony Xperia Z5 premium and I am trying to watch 4K videos in the YouTube app, I have enabled the filter to find 4K videos, which I know definitely run in 4K on a desktop computer, however I don't have the option to change the resolution to 4K within the YouTube app, it only goes up to 1080p.
