i just bought my xperia play and it came with a 8gb sd card. It is installed FIFA, MADDEN, etc. I`d like to change to my new SD card, 16gb, but i cant make a full backup of mine 8gb card contents. I tried to copy, but the new folder on PC has 1.680.123.607 bytes, while the 8gb card has 1.930.264.576 bytes.

I have an xperia Z1 compact, encrypted (due to work), and with an SD of 32 GB. My SD is now full and I want to change it to a new SD card of 64GB but if I plug the SD to the computer I cannot copy the files so I cannot transfer the files to the new card. Additionally I am unable to do a backup of my cellphone from my PC.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently changed the micro sd card out to a 32gb to enable a more serious approach to gaming etc. However, since doing that I have not been able to get any of the gameloft games to download and install correctly. The existing game that I had previously will operate when I put in the older (Smaller) SD card. Photos and music transferred over, but not with the correct file path. Therefore they con not be viewed. I have spent quite a bit of time trying to work it out, previous discussion threads have not correctly outlined the procedure. Having the expandable memory is designed to make this phone more marketable. Not telling people how to do it makes the phone significantly less marketable.

Then my touchscreen didn't work. So I decided to soft reset my phone, but no use. I can't even unlock my phone because my touchscreen was unresponsive. I tried to hard reset it but I also can't even hard reset it. The notification bar is working properly but I can't pull it down to update my version because I saw in sony website that I have to update it.. But how if I can't connect my phone to computer because I can't tap the connect to phone in the notification bar.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have recently bought a Xperia X8 in New Zealand. It was sold in the Vodafone phone section of an electronic store, the salesperson assured me it was not locked to Vodafone so I decided to buy it and take it back home with me to Samoa. Prior to departing for Samoa, I've used the phone with a Vodafone NZ sim card for about a week, everything worked fine, internet, GMail, apps market, apps etc.After arriving back in Samoa, I hooked it up to my computer to update the phone software which included an upgrade to Android 2.1. After that, I took it down to a Digicel (one of the two mobile phone service providers in Samoa) store to get my internet set up. After leaving the store I've realised only the browser's internet connection worked, but no internet connection for of the apps, apps market, GMail etc...
(1)No internet Did some research on the net about this problem, tried getting the wizard back up and signing into my google account, no luck. Formatted the phone, tried to set up my google account straight away in the wizard, no luck. Digicel doesnt know what's wrong either. There are no Android phones currently sold by Digicel in Samoa so I guess I can't really blame them. It's very frustrating. Fortunately, I've been able to hook up the phone to my home's wifi connection, internet works fine of course...the apps, the apps market, GMail etc.
(2) Phone shuts down with other sim cards Ever since having taken the phone down to the Digicel store (they took it to the back so I don't know what else they did with the phone) to get the internet set up, no other sim cards work with the phone. Well they work, but, only a few seconds or at most a minute after entering the sim pin, then the phone just goes blank and reboots itself. This happens with simcards from the other mobile phone service provider (tried both mine and my dad's) AND with the Vodafone sim card I used in NZ!?!?! Could Digicel have done something to the phone which makes it shut down when non-Digicel sim cards are inserted?

Now let me explain the list of tasks i did in order to get it back to work but invane 1- Tested a new touchpad 2- Software update 3- Software downgrade 4- Deassembling and reassembling
i think i didn't miss anything but still its not responsive. It does sometimes response but if i do restart battery pull, open back case its unresponsive again. According to my knowledge its not a hardware issue as if its hardware and need new one i already tried that its software issue and it seems that entire screen is selected when i try to neviggate through the gaming keys. I am still unable to belive that sony ericsson has still not provided any fix for the issue. If anyone has any idea or any third party software for screen please advise.

I am looking to buy an external speaker to connect to my xperia play, preferably a sony branded one, but definately one that is portable enough to fit in my pocket.I thought I had found the one that fit the bill perfectly when I checked the sony site and found the MS 430 which is supposed to be fully compatible with the Xperia Play (it even doubles up as a phone stand, which is pretty neat).Now the problem is my jack is on the horizontal side of my phone (opposite side to the left flipper) and not on the top end as shown in the picture to connect a phone to this speaker.So therefore the speaker is not compatible with this phone, unless of course I have a unique phone with the jack in the wrong place or the phone is connected in the upright position, which wouldnt be very good when watching video playback.
