When I try to use the facebook application using 3g or wifi, it says connection error, or unable to complete login, I cant uninstall it and I've tried reinstalling it from the application store, but still does not work?

When I try to connect with facebook and the eplus-internet connection is not available the facebook application searches always for a WiFi. If this is not accessible I cannot cancel the application because it is searching still for the WiFi. I have to turn of the phone and turn on again.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just recently got the vivaz as a replacement for my old nokia phone, and i seem to be having problem with the facebook app, i open it, enter my details, and select the internet connection i want, but then it either says connection error or just closes the app, my internet app itself works fine with my internet connection so i know its my internet, i tried uninstalling the facebook app, but it says uninstall not allowed, i do not know what to do now, Ive tried repairing my phone, and Ive tried installing the software for it again, but nothing.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was just wondering if anybody else knew about the following or if it is wrong and may harm my phone. I went onto the playnow site on my phone via internet search. Whilst on it I scrolled down the bottom of the screen and clicked free stuff and lots more stuff came up available than when I go on playnow on my laptop. I downloaded a few and they all seem to work although they pop up with a strange type of keypad thing under neath the application when its open.
I then went back onto the play now site. I was on and was looking about when I noticed it had a bit that said : country - uk your phone - w880i. I didn't put this in it was already there. Mine is the Vivaz handset and yet the applications seem to work ok under the w880i phone. Should it not be compatible? should I remove the apps I downloaded this way of my phone to prevent a problem etc? I am so confused at the moment as to whether it is safe etc. for my phone. As I didn't expect it to happen. I always thought when you go onto a site like play now it would know what phone is being used.
What is spb shell? Does anybody know of where I can get the application spb mobile shell for my vivaz that is free and is decent?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI use windows live as my IM client, hence my first instinct when entering the IM app was to input my details and the app would do all the work, but I saw a blank field asking for the web address of the IM server. I have tried all kinds of addresses and searched all sorts of sites for the right address, but I still get the "cannot connect to the service" error.
View 11 Replies View RelatedWhen I open IM on my Vivaz Pro, I am prompted to create a server. When I click Yes, I am shown a screen with "access point in use" as one of the options. It is currently set to "must be defined". When I press it to edit it (I cannot save with the setting "must be defined") I am prompted to "define an access point in settings. I return to the main menu and open settings>connectivity>destinations, the only screen I have found with references to access points. After setting all access points on this screen to my home WiFi network, I return to IM only to be faced with the exact same problem.Also, I have set my home WiFi network up in the settings page, but whenever I leave that page, it changes from "connected" to "known", preventing me from accessing the internet.

I've tried so many solutions found online and on this forum as well but nothing worked for me. I would really like to use the application to access my Hotmail & Yahoo! First time I had install some "sys" files and "jar" files, but now can't install sys files, now installing jar files and java files only, getting tow type error messages, if the mobile date is correct "certificate expired". the latest software includes new features and improvements such as:

but i don't seem to have any of them. i certainly haven't noticed any update with facebook. were it says new facebook panel on the standby screen is that for the sony ericsson standby screen? if it is i don't have that either all i have on this screen is twitter not facebook, how do i do get the facebook panel on it? any ideas why my update version on my phone says a different date compared to what it has on the sony ericsson site but when i plug phone to computer to update it says i have the latest software?
My Vivaz phone and the PC Suite software does not sync correctly. In My laptop (XP), I could sync my contacts and bookmarks. But in my desktop (Win7), I can only sync my bookmarks. Why is this happening? I also have below problems. I am not able to rename my memory card.I am not able to backup my contacts to memory card (there is no option in the contacts menu)The sound quality is very low. (but good when I wear a headphone) Some feature requests.I want to import some ICS file to update my phone calendar.I want the group contact support in the Sony ericsson PC suite.I also like the way how Nokia PC suite identifies the incoming call. I need that kind of functionality in PC suite so that I can get notifications like Gtalk.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI brought my Vivaz a while ago. The display somehow had a loose connection so it went back to the shop. A while later I got it back, but it started to do this annoying thing, not turning on and it went very slow, but I assume thats because the memory card was almost full. Well, now when I want to turn it on, the white "sony ericsson" screen comes up and a little vibration, and nothing more. When I set it to charge, the red light and the "sony ericsson" screen comes, but after a while I still cant turn it on. When I set it to my computer nothing happens but it "charges" again and the little charge icon never comes up when it charges either. Just the screen I have mentioned and the little red light in the side of the phone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen texting with the vivaz I have a problem closing a sentence with a word with nore than one option - home and good for example. On my old C902 I could select the word i wanted by toggling then by pressing the 1 key I would then toggle through the list of punctuation marks at the end of my desired word. On the Vivaz as soon as you hit the 1 key the word jumps back to the first optional word in the toggle list. The noly way I can find to avoid is to hit the arrow key then the 1key and toggle through again. This seems like a step backwards for me.Any ideas? Could SE take this on board for a future update? Particularly as the old phones worked.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've been using my Vivaz Pro on O2 for about 2 months now and I've been have an intermittent problem. The phone will suddenly not allow me to make calls, when I try to make a call it says "Emergency Calls Only" even though I have a good to full signal AND I can still receive calls and send and receive text messages. Also when this problem happens the power button no longer responds, so I am unable to lock or turn the phone off so I have to do a battery pull. Even after removing the battery and SIM and replacing it all the problem is still there. Then it will just work again at various times. This is very frustrating. I have tried contacting O2 but I just get pre- typed messages back which are NO HELP at all, they are obviously not understanding my problem and think it's a network issue or Im somewhere where I cannot get a signal.I was also disgusted that Sony Ericsson used the Nokia OS on their phone, I vowed to never buy a Nokia again after having 4 Nokias and having problems with them all. I go back to trusty Sony Ericsson only to find its got Nokia software Low and behold I'm having problems.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy vivaz can't connect to internet via WiFi (router tp-link) when connection is secured I already checked all possible combinations. When I take off the password from the router there is no problem at all. Another weird thing is I can access router webpage whilst connection is secured but that is it. My router is showing all the time that connection is associated and authorized. Didn't test this phone on other WiFi points.

1. When I trying to export photo in Picassa example to my PC desktop, its gives me an error: Unable to write all files due to Disk Error.
2. When I trying to rotate photo with Windows Photo Viewer, its says: there's problem with Picture File properties.
First I thought maybe is problem in Picasa or in Windows7, but with photos, taken half an year ago, everything is OK! I have checked twice all camera settings in Vivaz, didn't find nothing. Camera settings has been all the time the same: HD (16:9), Google Geo etc. Here is one photo with problems for downloading.
I once used the facebook app with wireless and once with 3G connection.. and its running smoothly but now i cant use the application wireless or 3g.. i need to open the FB site to log in.. can anybody explain whats the problem with the app?
