Sony Ericsson :: W518a - How To Remove Shortcuts On Main Screen?
Aug 26, 2010At the bottom of the screen, there's three shortcuts: Camera, Media Net, and Menu. I can't seem to find a way in the Settings to remove these and I haven't seen it discussed in the user guide. Is it also possible to remove the date and time from that same main screen as well?

Oct 9, 2010I've had this vivaz since june. sent it to the service center twice already. until now, problem still persists. main menu is gone. everytime i press on the menu, all you see is the application menu. pictures can only be viewed by accessing the memory card folder.

Nov 3, 2010Main menu is crashed, after a while it's shown on the screen only 3 icons (applications, internet and track id) and when i try to reorganise everything i couldn't find camera for example at all! and few more things .. i saved that, i go to shut down, and turn it on again ... manu is dissapired! completly! everything else is there, everything working normaly but when i press middle button i can't go in to main manu at all. i don't understand why? If I don't have it connected to the headset it says please connect the handset it works as the antenna. What can I do? I would like to be able to use the radio on this as an alarm clock as it is an option in the alarm settings but yet it cant be played out loud?

Mar 23, 2010Sony Erickson X Peria X2. Just bought an X Peria X2 for $650 CD N, Yesterday having a few small problems questions. Question 1: How do I change the time from 24 hour clock to a 12 hour clock? I've gone into Settings -> System Settings -> Regional Settings and changed it from HH:mm:SS to H:mm:SS and turned the phone off then on. Tried other way around and it stays a 24 hour clock. The time style example doesn't change between the two options, it stays 24 hour clock.
Question 2: How do I access the Memory card on my computer. I installed Windows Mobile Center on Windows 7. I can access the Phones Memory but not the memory card itself where all the pictures and stuff are.
Question 3: The time of sending and receiving texts is different for me. I'll send a text at 13:33 and she replays 10 seconds later but the phone says she replied at 9:33, when it should be 13:33 as well as it was sent and received at the same time. This happens with everyone I text. Not a big deal but annoying as I wont know the correct time they text ed me back.
Question 4: Everything seems to kinda run a little slow when opening things etc.... I have checked task manager and nothing else is running data is off everything, but still pretty slow. I watched a video saying that It will receive an update this month but when I go to Sony website they only have the X1 on there not the X2 for some stupid reason.

Jan 23, 2010I love the bedside mode of the Storm 2, especially with the dock I recently purchased. The only problem is, I like the room dark as possible and even with the phone in bedside mode when charging, and the setting check to dim the clock, it's still far to bright.
Is there a way of having clock on, but have the screen go off with the usual setting to black the screen after say 30 seconds or whatever I choose for the backlighting time out, then have the screen come on if I reach over and touch the screen to display the clock, then letting the backlighting go off again after the preset time?
This would make the setup perfect for me, allowing me to use the Storm 2 as a bedside clock without having to have the display on all the time, but being able to turn it on for a short period of time as needed. If this is possible, can somebody post the settings needed

Aug 22, 2010I'm trying to download a new software update for my W760a, because it tells me it cannot add anymore contacts and I can't recieve or send texts/ phone calls. When I try to go to the software updates on the W760a hompepage, it loads a blank page.
