I dont have my C510 user guide and cant figure this out on my own. According to the web, my C510 should have a shuffle/random feature on the music player, but I dont know how to turn it on.
View 5 RepliesI have a sony C510.. I downloaded few themes of the internet last week and now my phone shows random colours and suddenly the display becomes reverse inverted, etc.. I tried running update service but it works fine only for a while, random colours pop out again! i deleted files also.

I just want to add some songs which location I know. searchin for one bl**dy song between 2000 other tittles is just ridiculous. Options provided by SE vivaz pro symbian software are just useless. Its easier to remember name of folder containing 100 songs than to learn by heart 100 tittles with artists names. I got used to listening to one huge set of e.g. house shared on 10 parts but in some way vivaz pro player spreadet them on the begining , midlle and end of ALL bout 2500 songs list. Is it possible to create some software update fixing this ridiculous mistake? maby there already is sth like that?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI always use the onboard Music player and I always have the Shuffle feature ON.Before the Anna update, I could press "Back" pick a song in the list and continue listening in shuffle mode.
After Anna update, every time I press back and pick a song shuffle gets disabled. I really don't like that and the fact that it does something I didn't ask it to do. I just picked a song, I didn't pick "disable shuffle as well".
i've added several mp3s to my w205 by using a usb cable and windows file explorer and although I can play them using the w205s file manager, no songs show up in the walkman music player. I have also tried sending songs to the phone by bluetooth and formatting the memory card (1GB M2) but this doesn't work either. Any ideas?

I have just received a new Sony Ericsson Elm. On my K800i, there is a play button on the left side of the phone which is really handy for playing music. But on the Elm getting to the music player is a lot more difficult, even though I create a shortcut to the "media" option, in order to access to the music player.
I will have to scroll down once, select "music", then click on "resume", which is rather inconvenient. I just wondered is it possible to create a one touch shortcut to "Music Player"?
when i turn on the megabass function and increase the volume above level 6, my sound gets distorts. i am using sony ericsson hpm70 headset and found no problems with the headset on other phones. please help me to overcome this issue.

From the home screen, I select my library, then the artist (I use artist view), then the album, then the first song in the list. If I let it play to the end or hit the "next" button, a random song in the list plays instead of the next song. It's hard to tell from the videos and written reviews. the version it had when I first bought the phone even enabled me to play and add .amr files in the media center. I really found it useful because the I could even fast forward or rewind my recordings. I can't remember the version I had then. My current firmware version is- R3EG004.
And I can't play my recordings through the music player and the phone really slows down when the music player is running in the background. I tried the update service option in the settings tab and said that the phone is running the latest software. Please everyone, I would like to know which firmware version has less lags and the best tweaks. This really is irritating because it slows down a lot when listening to music. So please help me to know the most preferred firmware version.

And it is already damaged to my SIM also (SIM was worked perfectly when I have this problem). So I bought a new SIM and insert it and again my phone gave me same error. However, soon my mobile went dead and I submitted (Work order # SE310RT317708) this to Sony Ericsson Service Center (RT Outsourcing Services Ltd, Pune) on 7 Aug 2010. They informed me that there is some problem with the motherboard of the mobile and it need to be sent to the factory for replacement, for which they said it would take 15-20 days of time. However, now it is close to two months and till date I have not received my mobile. Upon repeated calling they just say it would be done in weeks time, dont know when that week would come. I also, called up your call center for the same (Ref # 88390486 and 88429925) and they said it would be done in a couple of days time, however, I have not received my mobile till date. My concern:Is Sony Erricsson so irresponsible towards its customers?

My player got stuck with shuffle enabled and hitting the shuffle button would shuffle the play queue and there was no longer anyway to disable shuffle. After reboot, it fixed itself but the shuffle button still shuffled the play queue. That said, I like the change. The shuffle function had an amazing number of repeat songs. Now you can go through a whole playlist without getting a repeat.

Then, it will turn itself on, and give me this error message: "Insert Sim or View Demo Video first" It takes more than a couple of on/off remove battery cycles before it functions again. My Sim is definitely not inactive. Cause At times that I don't get this error, it works. I have also updated to the latest firmware as of 06/27/10. I still get the errors. I couldn't figure out if it is a software problem or hardware problem. Some of the problems it is showing are:It is very slow. Actions take place after 5-10 seconds after pressing the keys. For example: To look for a name in PhoneBook, if I type 'R' after 5-10 seconds it will show names starting with 'R'. If I press the Dial button on some contact, the phone hangs (the screen also goes blank) until the other party picks up the phone.Sometimes the screen splits up in two identical sub-screens. Restarting the phone is the only options in this case.This is what I did to fix it:Formatted the memory card after backing up the essensital data (contacts and notes)When the above didn't work I did a Master Reset The phone got a little (very little) faster, But No significant improvement. This tells me that the problem is not software related. There is some problem in the hardware. Let me know what to do. today It showed a new problem: "While searching in the phone book If I have to look for a name say "Prashant", and to start with I press key '7' to type 'P', it types direclty the third letter on key '7' that is 'R'. And the name starting with 'R' show up. The same thing happened with every key (1 to 9). " I restarted the phone and it got back to normal. This is getting irritating. Tell me what can I do.

Recently I changed to postpaid connection from prepaid keeping the same number for that I got a new SIM. When I inserted the new SIM on switch on itself it is asking for phone lock code.I haven't kept any lock code for my phone till now. And when I searched in the net for the default code i got it as '0000'. But when I enter that it says wrong code.
Then I inserted my old SIM for that it is working but its inactive since I got new one. I checked the phone security settings under settings->general->security->Locks->phone protection->Protection so as to turn off that feature.It was shown 'Automatic' neither On or Off. And when I tried to change that to off its again asking for the lock code. And I am not able to use my phone now.
