Nokia :: Skyfire Browser For S60 5th
Jan 20, 2010A short while ago the Skyfire browser for S60 5th edition phones was released in beta.I've installed and have been giving it a try and I have to say that it's very good and extremely fast so would definitley reccomend trying this.I know it sounds like it but I'm nothing to do with Skyfire nor am I getting commission...... ah wel!Oh.... best put a few smileys in having just read earlier posts.... some seem to think they're essential.

May 3, 2010In an effort to "clean out" the 80 MB phone memory of my XpressMusic 5800, I think I deleted some files I should not have. For example, I thought I would delete the Skyfire and Weatherbug folders from C:, then reinstall it on the 8GB E: drive later. So I did this, then rebooted. The phone seems to be working fine, and Icons for Skyfire and Weatherbug are gone.But now I can't re-load them on the phone. I get to the Ovi store find using the default web browser, but the "Download" bar is grayed out, for both programs. I CAN download programs I have not downloaded before, but I want Skyfire and WBug. It seems either the phone or website is deciding "you already have this program, so you can't download it again". Anyone know how I can fix this?? I am using the latest S60 OS (40.2.005). Phone seems otherwise to be working fine. Any help appreciated.

Apr 17, 2010this browser is said to be good at Internet videos on the symbian phones. well i got my hands on it.... and was disappointed! yes, the actual Internet looks great, but it lags very much. it's like, i have to wait for about 30 seconds for the video to pause after i press the pause button. it seems the video area is almost non responsive and the video itself lags.is this normal or am i missing something?

Feb 9, 2010I can't download anything from the Music Store. I always get download failed error message after every single song. Any solutions for this? I will not install WMP to my system and will not use Ovi Player as default player.

Jan 13, 2010i downloaded the new firmware 44.1 to my phone yesterday through NSU & did my backup restore.but for some reason I canot download from Ovi Store.After I click download in Ovi Store- the app manager opens & just says "preparing for installation" & stays there for ever.. nothng happens... I had to stop the downloads manually many times..I checked the log file in Application Manager & here is the error message.

Mar 27, 2010I downloaded the latest nokia ovi player since it threw out a message stating the the latest version was needed inorder to use the New Ovi Music. I installed it successfully and tried downloading 5 songs. All of them failed to download after completing 1 MB. I don't know the reason but it has deducted 5 songs from my voucher pack. It is a loss for me.

Sep 12, 2011When I try to download an application from the Ovi store I only get a "Send to Mobile" option, no provision to download to my computer first.If I use the 'send to mobile', I get the text message with a link, but the Ovi Store will not Launch. I get the usual message 'if it does not launch automatically use the Launch button' but it still does not launch - just reloads the same message.
If I go to the Ovi Website it automatically reverts to the mobi site and I am presented with the same launch message. I can go to other parts of the Ovi website but not the Store.I would prefer to download to the computer as the mobile reception where I live is poor.Surely there must be some way to do this. I have downloaded the latest version ofteh Ovi Suite to my computer but it still does not give a download option.

Apr 21, 2011it all started on Saturday when i purchased Rio birds game and it turned to a "failed" download. I press Download button and then page refreshes and I get the Red button,"download failed" or something. I purchased another game day after that thinking its a temporary "bug" or something, it happened before and I got the same error. Tried downloading random free stuff but soon as I press Download button I get the download error again. Its been like this for 5 days now, cant download anything, not even stuff I purchased. Emailed Ovi support twice on sunday and monday but have not recieved a reply yet. Very odd IMO, 3,4 working days without a reply is very unprofessional. Do they even recieve those mails?
And I tried reinstalling Ovi store but still got the same download error.
