My N8's display always turns totally black when there is an incoming call, or even when thealarm rings. Before can see the caller's name and answer the call, I have to disable the screen's "keylock".I tried to find a point in the phone settings wher I can avoid this, but didn't find any.

I have bought it and hard reset it yesterday with button combination and also with factory settings option.Now, the problem is that when i start any installation, it asks to install it. When i press ok it proceeds to neXt dialogue, either asking for permissions or asking to close an app, depending o the sis file.NOW, a moment before this dialogue, i get totally black screen for milliseconds. And then i cannot touch any button when the prompt appears. I can switch to menu and hs using hardware keys but cannot touch anything on screen. Long pressing menu key allows me to touch the screen and close apps but i can't touch anything else. I can also use power key menu to shut down mobile.Everything else is normal otherwise, i even installed many apps today successfully but now this problem occurs.

I think this is a hardware issue as I have always updated the firmware as soon as its released and I have the same problem no matter the firmware. Resetting and turning off/on again doesn't solve it. Just have to lock the screen and rub my thumb over the entire screen and it seems to start working again. Could part of the touch screen be getting stuck down?

View 3 Replies View RelatedFirst time the phone hanged, I needed to hard reset it, to enter the phone. Now it hanged while I was swtiching theme.
I hard resetet it, and began from the begining again. Although, next time I turned the mobile on, it didn't go further than the white background with the Nokia text.
There is no point to do the procedure again, and I'm sure if I manage to enter the phone again, I will have feature problems with it.
Something is wrong with this one.

Anyone else got this problem, previously i could serve internet without any problems. now when i go into internet thru my phone, it will hang after 1 min of surfing.

I get no beep on the phone when I plug in the USB cable (tried on 3 different PCs) and I get no prompt asking what mode I want to use, i.e. PC Suite Mode, Mass Storage etc.The phone does not appear under "Devices and Printers" in Windows 7, nor does it appear under "Device Manager".So there is zero connectivity between the phone and the computer.
I've ordered a new micro USB cable from ebay to see if it helps, but the one I am using now doesn't look damaged in any way.
I've been loving the Lumia 800 since I got it bar a few problems getting it turn on, but this one takes the cake. Last night I was using my phone before I went to sleep and the battery died so I put it to one side. This morning I go to charge the phone and I'm getting very very little response from the phone. Once I plug the charger in the phone vibrates twice, although the second time it appears to be getting 'cut off.' At no point is anything visible on the screen.
Tried to use the laptop and I get the USB connection sound from my PC, however it then plays the 'removed USB device' sound and there's no indication the phone's connected.
The only technique that gets any kind of response is the 'soft reset', holding the power button and bottom volume button for 10 seconds which gets my carrier's logo up on screen before it quickly dies.
As this is my only phone I'm getting rather stressed about this. I really do need my phone in the week. Would you guys suggest I take it to one of my carrier's shop or try and go through Nokia themselves?
So dissapointed because it's my favourite phone I've ever owned, and now it's useless and causing me a lot of undue stress.
My 5800 touch screen is not responding well like any touch screen should. Compared with my friend's phone and he said there is definite problem with touch. Now is this rectifiable? Or better to go for an exchange? I dont trust Nokia Care because my e72 is still with them for some error which they are not explaning properly. Poor customer service.

View 3 Replies View RelatedYesterday, while i was driving with using navigation system i had a problem asking prequently memory full, i was middle of the road just ignore the msg with cancel and keep on driving to my destination. Arrived safel, so far so goed. But in the evening tried to use my x6 now phone is hanged and i tried to diconnect battery and switch on but did not worked, just i can see white light for sometime and than i repeat my previous action but did not worked, it was hanging all the time. after couple of our i switch on again now it works but all the application,setting,datas and photoes/videos are disappeared. what a suck i have been to loose all the data. however i tried to use it and it was very slow and so i switched it off again, after sometime i switch it on, this time also it was only white window but not switching on. i removed the batter to switch off. waited for couple of our.
evening i switch on again, luckily i have had back to my previous mode, meaning i have everything back to normal, immediately i thought to back all my data and update my maps cause i have to drive long next morning. now i was peaceful could at least sleep without stress.
but this morning i switch on my x6 but its come with another surprise having same problem and there is nothing in the data looks like factory setting invaded. since ihave to drive 800 kilometor today i neeeded map, tried to update it via OVI but map could read in my phone saying that there is not possible to install map, i tried all the instruction but did not worked. it looked to me my gps system is not functioning any longer, on top of that i seemed to have problem with the internet connection, it fails connecting server.
My blackberry just hanged after I restarted it upon the new fb update (I suspect it's this case).I can type in my password but it just get stuck at the welcome screen. I tried connecting it to the blackberry desktop but it can't be connected. I tried calling my blackberry from a different phone but it hangs at the call screen too. My BlackBerry Curve 8330 is only a month old. For some reason, no matter what application I am in, or what I am trying to do, my phone will lockup all the time. I get the hourglass and cannot do anything for ten minutes or more, sometimes it never goes away; When I want to use my phone I have to do a battery pull, and I'm talking 10+ battery pulls a day, literally.I don't have very many apps installed, all my media is on the memory card, and I always close every app as soon as I am done with it. View 11 Replies View RelatedSo, I've searched, and I guess I'm not using the right terms, but my media card is having some problems. A couple weeks ago I added a good amount of music to my 4 GB card. Everything was working fine. Then one day, I had to reset my phone. Went into my Media link from my menu, "Scanning." Fine. It took forever, but when it was done, it wouldn't load my pictures after clicking the thumbnail. On top of that, the media player skips all my songs. I have to select each indvidual song or it will just repeat the song over and over with Repeat off. Looking at the playlist it just quickly highlights each one in the list and moves to the next. If I select each song it will play.If someone could point me in the right direction that would be awesome![EDIT]Also forgot to mention that I turned the phone off, took out the card, turned the phone on and used it for a while, turned it off again, and re-loaded the card. I'm thinking of just erasing the card and staring over.

Nokia 2730 classic is having a bluetooth problem. Every time when I transfer data from 2730c to any others mobiles it just got hanged and I need to restart it. After that, transfer is successful. Few days ago I updated my 2730c to latest software( from RM -578 v10.45 to RM-578 v10.47) from nokia care centre thinking it could have fixed the previous bluetooth issue, but no it didn't.
