Nokia Nseries :: 8 Constantly Crashes Due To Full Memory
Jan 16, 2011
My N8 is showing as full for the OS partition and loads of space available on the Mass Storage. The problem, is this rubbish phone stores all messages/emails etc on the OS partition. Then, when the OS partition is full, the phone constantly locks up and 9/10 times you need to wait for the battery too go flat so that you can reboot it !!! Then delete a few txts and carry on.
I have a Nokia Nuron and it will not allow me to do anything. Everytime I click something, anything, it says that the memory is full. I can't reset my phone because I can't open the settings. I do not know how to reset the phone, because it is not working when I do it. I don't have any apps on my phone, no messages, and only 20 contacts. I just really need my phone to work again.
My N97 seems to have full on board memory. As shown by the pictures there are three memory areas, the first being phone memory which is shown as almost full. 2nd is the expanded memory which is in the phone and is almost empty. The third is a mini SD card that I had from my old phone.
All my outook synced information is probably in the onboard memory area. My first thought is that maybe my 44 MB PST file was hogging up the phone memory so I took the sync calendar setting and went from 2 weeks before to 1 week before and from 6 months out to 3 months out. That change did not make any difference in my onboard memory consumption.
Every application I installed went into expanded memory. The camera puts videos and images in the image and video folder in the expanded memory area. All the extra pdf and image files that I transfered to my phone go on the mini SD.So I can't quite figure out why my memory usage is so high in the phone memory.
I have 5530 Xpress music after inserting my memory card and sim it now constantly has a flashing text envelope symbol (as though a text has arrived) and it says "SIM memory full", Tried rebooting it etc.
I wonder why my phone memory is almost full all the time. I dont have anythin on that memory, all applications are in mass memory and all pics and wids. I have tried to move data to mass memory but i have already moved all that i can and i still have only 7MB free space in phone memory. I cant even install new ovi store to my phone because I just dont have enough space. and I dont understand why it tryes to installa it to c: drive enethough my settings in ovi store tells it to install all things to mass drive.
I have the problem that when I select a phone number in the log application I get a message that the memory is full. This makes it impossible to access the menus and sometimes to exit the log app itself. I can however see that there's 53 MB free RAM and 25 MB free space on C, with an application called Y-tasks. Also, no other application has memory problems. It seems to me to be a bug in the log application
Since updating to Belle I've been receiving a lot of "memory full" messages in a variety of applications, often with barely anything else running on the phone.'ve done a fair bit of testing to try to narrow down the culprit but I'm coming around to the conclusion that it's Belle, not the apps.
Nokia 808 PureView Memory Error !So i bought my new nokia 808 and i made some photos put some songs in it and everything was going fine.Today in morning when i was shoting a photo and whent to edit it appeared this message :" Memory is full. Please delete some data first and then try again"So i opened "Files" to see my memory status.
My C: memory is showing as full when I try to clear it through the phone file manager despite looking through all folders I cannot identify any large files on it and the same is the case when I try to look through my pc software.
When I hold on the C: memory and look at the memory details it shows 131mb of messages even though I have deleted all txt messages and emails, 46mb of SIS applications I can't see these in the file manager and 72mb of other files which I assume are the OS files.
My n8 has a little flashing message symbol in the top right corner, when I click on it, it says sim memory full, how do I access my sim data to delete some data, I tried deleting some contacts in phone book but didn't do nothing.
Today I launched TuneWiki for the first time. Before that my phone memory was normal (not low). And after I registered at TuneWiki, the app scanned my music, and after that I got an error saying that: Disk space exhausted. cleanup the disk or re-install application on another drive. Well, the truth is, that I can't even uninstall it, because I get almost the same error. Tried to install the app again without uninstalling but the same happened.
It happens all the time even if nokia map is the only app running I think the reason is my phone memory is almost full there is less than 1 mb left and I cant find any thing to delete via phone manager in the phone memory either empty folders or folders which have only hundreds of bytes, when I check the phone memory it says 85 mb used 36 mb sis apps and 48 mb other files and I cant find any of them. Btw I am afraid to delete some of these files cause they may be system apps
I use nokia 5800 Xpress music but realize that suddenly I keep getting error notifications indicating my memory c is low or full. This makes it impossible to perform any function. But when I check inside memory c there seem to be no data in the folders to delete, it has become really boring and no more fun to use the fone, i have deleted all my music, pics, sms, from fone, changed my storage from phone memory to E:card but still same report.
Bought a E72 form ebay few months back.Immediately updated it.Now the only software i ever have open on it (running always) is whatsapp.I am CONSTANTLY getting error messages saying 'Memory Full close some appliations'I was using whatsapp on my E63 which is supposed to be lower spec than an E72 and NEVER had these issues with my E63.Have read a few topics on here regarding this and have downloaded a software called NetQin which has told me that RAM: Memory is 112/199 literally within 20 seconds after starting up the phone. It says the only startup item is whatsapp. Which is all i have running currently.I do have the latest mapping ovi software on here which is only run when i choose to run it.
I got a N8 with Nokia Belle. When I missed an event in my Calendar, there is a "Missed reminder" in the pull down menu. But when I click on this entry, I get the message "Calendar: Memory full. Please close some applications and try again." This happens even when the phone is just restarted. There are no additional tasks in background.
Whenever I run Ovi maps it keep showing me messages saying Memory full close some applications. I cleared history from the browser, moved messages location to mass memory. I checked if I have space on c drive from my laptop I can see that I have 150 MB free out of 276 MB. How I can get rid of this annoying memory full messages?
My n97 mini tells me that the memory is full close some applications , but I don't have any applications open. There appears to be loads of space on the phone memory when connected to Nokia suite. Also handset powers off periodically even when it has plenty charge.
I'm using 5530 XpressMusic phone for a year now. The problem is, I formatted my handset a month ago but now when I check the Memories, it says Phone Memory 1.3 MB Free (Almost Full) while my Memory card's memory is doing good. how to tackle with this situation? Because when I connect my phone to PC and check the Phone Memory, I only find files sizing 89 kb.
Using N81, I get the "Memory full. Delete some data" message every time (when turning on the mobile, when trying to install any app, when trying to uninstall any app, ...).I've formatted the memory card, and I've got:- Capacity: 1947 MB- Used: 1 MB- Free: 1946 MBbut continue getting the same error.Any similar experience? I reset the mobile (*#7370# and *#7780#) but any change (I've deleted the time and settings, but not the memory issues).
My N8 "phone memory C drive" is FULL. Applications are freezing, crashing, the phone is self restarting.
I see memory phone of 256 MB full with USB connected to PC. When I look inside the folders, nothing in some, no large file in others.
1. Why the phone memory is full? I did not install apps on the C drive aka phone memory, I did not put photos, videos or anything there, I don't use email.
2. Why I cannot find the files that occupy the memory? No large file can be seen.
3. Is this the cause of phone auto restarting and the cause some applications are crashing, closing in front of my eyes or in the background?
Why when I receive a simple call and I have only a game open after the call ends the game is already crashed / closed?
I need some body, tell my how can I install ovi content on the memory card when I use Wifi on my handset 5800.cause all programs immediately goes and installed on phone memory and it is almost full
I have purchased Nokia N97 32 GB before 1 month but It is giving me errors.
1) When I enter to settings its giving me "Security Module Error".
2) When I try to open some applications its give me error" General memory full, close some applications and try again.
My N97 32 gb is made by nokia and manufactured in china. I am living is KSA and i have purchased here. Is it original device? All N97 new mobiles are coming in KSA manufactured in china and made by nokia?
I am trying to bluetooth stuff to my phone and it tells me that my phone memory is full, but I have a 1gb memory card. How do I send the stuff straight to my memory card?
iOS 5.1 SMS crashes constantly and when I hit the lock screen camera it starts to go to the camera then it doesn't. I have no access to the lock screen camera now. Additionally over all performance has been severely deminished. A lot more freezing.
I recently updated with new ANNA software to my N8, but now my phone to crash/ restart itself at least 15 times at day! is that a way I can uninstall or do something about it?
My N97 crashes out right after I enter my pin and will only turn back on if Iremove the battery and take out my sim.If I put the battery back in andswitch on the phone it comes on and works fine in ofline mode.I havereinserted my sim card and the phone comes on but as soon as I change back togeneral, silent or meeting the phone crashes.I have formated the mass memoryand done a hard reset but it still wont work in the online mode.
However the last few weeks, it's been cutting out, Crashing, freezes up. Boots up, goes to the White Screen and goe's black, doesn't come on for at least 5 minutes before it boots up.I've been trying to reload its software but unable to because the phone freezes up and cuts off. So i have no clue what to do at this point. It has little episodes where it spazzes out goes white and the screen flickers for 20 seconds and shuts off. Battery pulls have been tried to fix the issue but even that isn't even working.i'm a Blackberry Guru myself but i've never seen this issue ever before on my Curve 3G. The odd occasional crash maybe due to over load on the memory, but this is getting beyond a joke, i can't even boot it up for at least 10 minutes or even a minute after it boots up it goes like Hell is decending into the thing.
UPDATE: I'm also being informed i'm not the only one with this issue, a fair few blackberries have gone insane in my area. Like if a hacker is tapping into the software and destroying it inside out with a virus or something. < An idea but not accurate.
I noticed many times that with one web page open if I minimize the browser and use other apps and the home screen and use the browser shorcut to get back the browser appears to have closed/crashed the page I had open and it opens up a fresh browser.
