Is it possible to view the full royte in my Nokia Drive? I mean, say I am currently at X and I want to drive to Y. The application doesn't show step by step in advance the complete set of driving directions. It would be good if this option becomes available. Also, while navigating, if I can view the summary of all remaining turn by turn directions needed to reach my destination, it would be great.
View 3 RepliesA question on "route planning": If I want to drive/walk from point A to C via B, using Maps 3.03 (on an E52), how is that accomplished? Note: with the phone alone, without syncing with Ovi Maps.If "A" is my current destination, it's easy to set "C" (set destination) and be on the road right away. But, if I want to add a new route point "B", I only get the option to add a "category" close by and NOT a favorite or a location by search or history. Actually, pretty useless, if you plan to drive from Paris to Berlin via Amsterdam, to mention one theoretical example.I have noted that many people look for this, however, I found no good answers. If not available in Maps 3.03,any inkling if/when this may be added? The simple answer is, of course, to plan two routes rather than one "via" route.
View 12 Replies View RelatedMy C: memory is showing as full when I try to clear it through the phone file manager despite looking through all folders I cannot identify any large files on it and the same is the case when I try to look through my pc software.
When I hold on the C: memory and look at the memory details it shows 131mb of messages even though I have deleted all txt messages and emails, 46mb of SIS applications I can't see these in the file manager and 72mb of other files which I assume are the OS files.
I want to make a route in Nokia Maps on my computer. Set waypoints and edit the route. Then i save the route in Nokia Maps as a favorite.
Is it now possible to synchronise the route with my Lumia800? Actually i canīt see the route on the phone in Nokia Maps.
Is it possible to send a navigation or a route to Nokia Navigation? I think in the older Version of Nokia Maps it was possible.
Motoactv website seems to be showing all the information about the run (distance, time, pace) correctly. However the map is totally wrong. It only shows about the last mile of my run. Anyone know if there is any way to show that data?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy N8 "phone memory C drive" is FULL. Applications are freezing, crashing, the phone is self restarting.
I see memory phone of 256 MB full with USB connected to PC. When I look inside the folders, nothing in some, no large file in others.
1. Why the phone memory is full? I did not install apps on the C drive aka phone memory, I did not put photos, videos or anything there, I don't use email.
2. Why I cannot find the files that occupy the memory? No large file can be seen.
3. Is this the cause of phone auto restarting and the cause some applications are crashing, closing in front of my eyes or in the background?
Why when I receive a simple call and I have only a game open after the call ends the game is already crashed / closed?
When using Hangouts to view a MMS text message which contains an image the image can be viewed full screen. The menu buttons disappear and that space is used for viewing more of the image. The Gallery and Photos apps do not do this. Both of those apps keep part of the screen reserved for the menu button bar. Any picture viewing app which will allow a full screen slideshow similar to the way Hangouts uses the full screen?

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I finally tried to use Nokia Drive on a real trip (in New Jersey, USA) and I've noticed that the software often seems stuck on returning you to the originally plotted route when you deviate from it, instead of finding the best remaining route based on the new location. I'll give details for my particular trip in case this is a local issue.
We decided to take the NJ Turnpike to route 18 to River Road to Interstate 287 instead of 295 to 206 to 287 as Nokia Drive recommended (the routes are roughly equivalent in travel time, so I don't fault this initial route selection). When we entered the Turnpike, the new route kept trying to get us to 295 until we passed Exit 7 (In reality, past Exit 5 there isa considerable penalty to getting off the turnpike and onto I 295).
Finally, after Exit 7 it decided we should stay on the turnpike and get to 287 directly using Exit 10 (This too is roughly equivalent in travel time, so it was a reasonable suggestion). Once we took Exit 9 to route 18 instead it picked a different route than the one we are familiar with and this is where the biggest problem occurred. The route it suggested would enter 287 North at Exit 7, while the route we took entered 287 at Exit 9. It kept insisting we get back on its rout and get on at exit 7 to the point that when we were about to enter 287 at exit 9, it told us to get onto 287 *south* and take it to exit 7 where we would exit the highway and immediately re-enter it northbound. This is rediculous and should never have been suggested.
Am I right in my assessment that the software tries to stick to the original route instead of calculating a new one on the spot? What possible advantage can there be in doing it this way?
I have a Nokia Lumia 800 with Nokia Drive 3 and using it in India. I have installed about 4 maps already on it, but if I try to install any map now the download suddenly stops at the 35-40 MB mark, and just goes to the home screen. The Nokia Drive isn't even running in the background and I have to try again. I tried by downloading maps of multiple locations, some 50 MB, some 70 MB, some 100, and the same problem persists.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am getting issues while using Nokia Drive + Beta, my position isn't moving when driving or taking 5 - 10 seconds to update then just freezes again.
it seems that i set destination, it finds me and my destination fine, i click start, it gives the first direction fine, i start driving and nothing, "my position" on the display doesn't move, the only way i can update it is "stop navigation" then "set destination" again where it picks up my new location.
i've ensured location services are on, location within the app is turned on, i've checked my connection is "online"...are there any other settings i should be aware of?

i am using it in a windscreen mount that grips the top and bottom of the phone with little "arms", i've tried in both landscape and portrait orientation. bluetooth is on and hoping to be playing music at the same time eventually.
i have been having the general "freeze out" issue recently with the phone where i lock it and then it doesn't come back on without a button reset, 2 times since friday
I have a 2 amp, iPhone 5 compatable USB adapter in my car. When I use this on my Lumia 920 it is charging very slow, 2-3% over a half hour. It charges an iPhone 5 rather rapidly. I could get by on my iPhone for the week and only charge only need to ever charge on my work commute.
If I run Nokia Drive is running the phone will lose charge while charging. Nokia Drive is no good if the phone cannot maintain power.
I want to ask that Nokia Drive 2.0 really work on offline mode? turn by turn navigation on offline mode?

For example, I am following the driving directions, but change to a music app to select a new playlist - as soon as I open the music app and Nokia Drive runs in the background, it basically stops working.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have Nokia Lumia 900 running Windows Mobile 7.5. The Nokia Drive running on it is 3.1.0.3206. It had been working great for me till 10 days back. Suddenly whenever I open the application and tap "Set destination", the app shuts down. The Nokia Drive then needs to be restarted.
It seems to have something to do with the destinations. The same behavior is also witnessed when I try to "Clear history" using Settings >> Clear history.In appears that the app on my cell phone does not like number of destinations stored, or a specific destination.
How can I remove photographs saved to Sky-drive, it does not seem possible. If Unable then when/if I use Office and save documents there will I be unable to remove these too?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I launch Maps and press the circle button to zoom to my location, it will do so. It finds me within a few hundred feet. After this point, it has no idea where I am. The dot representing me on the maps will vanish, and if I press the locate button again, it will pop somewhere else within a couple of miles of me, and then realize that isn't right, and not change the circle locator button to green, or show a dot on the screen. I can press the locate button again and have this happen continuously.When using Nokia Drive Beta, it will use my correct location to plot a course, but then not follow me at all, so it constantly displays the first direction. It, too, seems to have no clue where I am.My commute takes me through country, city, and suburbs. I've tried placing the phone on the dash, in the cupholder, and just holding it. Previous phones (iPhone, android) have not had this issue over the same commute.

There's no "Original size" and the entire "Videos" section is missing.I've made sure my wifi is set up and working, and my skydrive is all operational - when I "sake to skydrive" from the photo app, that uploads fullsize no problem.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI would like to report a bug with regards to saving/making a route public.I go into Planning, then Routing, and I have several routes saved from previous workouts. As per below, I click on the "Public Route" check box, and then Save. I just get booted to a generic screen/map with the "Create New Route" button.Regardless of whether I click on save or not, if I reselect the route on the left, then it the "Public Route" check box is cleared again.In addition on the screenshot below, why does it say "2525 Hemlock St, Vancouver, BC V6H, Canada | 0.06 km". This route was clearly 25k. Strange/weird thing also is if i click on "Edit Route", (Hey anthing's worth a try....) and then Save, it actually turns my route (ie destroys my route) into .06 km. This is exactly what happened to the bottom route on the left list; it used to be 25k until I 'saved' it. Oh well, at least I can go into my recent workouts and resave the route and try again!

The thing is, I unplugged the charger at 9 in the morning and when it came to around 9 in the night. The battery is critical low. I just made few calls, text and no more than 10 mins twitter stuff and the battery is done? My iphone could even stand for 1 day with this usage. I tried everything, reset the fone. But seems not working.
Any way to view the Hi-Res photos (36MP) on the phone, without having to extract them via PC?
I know I could hook it up to a PC and save the Hi-Res photos to my "Saved Pictures" folder and view them on the phone, but that requires a PC.
Any app of some kind that allows users to view the Hi-Res photos on the phone. I don't think it's possible....
My wife has a Lumia 1020 and takes lots of photos with it. When we are traveling we can use our laptop to view the camera roll when the phone is connected to the USB port. However, when we are at home and she plugs it into her desktop with a USB cable, the photos do not display correctly
What happens when the camera roll is opened is that the photos start rendering fine and then at some point they stop. The progress bar across the top of Windows Explorer continues to move but nothing happens. I have tried it several times with different USB cables and ports and each time it does the same thing. It doesn't always stop at the same place either. Sometimes it will render 10 photos and a different time it will render 25. However, it never makes it through the entire contents.
