Nokia :: E72 Storing Messages On Memory Card
After I set the phone to save messages on memory card, every time I connect it to PC in data storage mode, or take the memory card out and then put it back in, when I open messaging application, I get a message saying that memory card could not be found or something like that and that messages will be stored in phone memory. Is that normal or is my phone malfunctioning?

A friend of mine has a Nokia E65 and would like to know if it's possible to ensure that messages from a particular sender are never lost. My understanding is that if a message is saved to the SIM card rather than the phone then if the phone is lost, the messages will show up on the new SIM card when it is issued from Vodafone.Is this correct? And if so, how do you actually move a message from the phone memory to the SIM card memory to ensure these messages are never lost even if the phone is lost?

I am using 7610 supernova phone from past 1 month and I feel it is a good phone. I have one doubt that messages I receive are going to phone memory and I can't change this to memory card. It was very easy in N-73 as there is an option of selecting the memory where your messages stores. Can any one help me regarding this as after every 30 messages I get messages as phone memory is low delete some items. I have memory card of 2GB and needs change my message inbox to memory card. Please help.

I tried selecting the "memory card" option for "Memory in use" in the messaging settings. When I select "yes" when asked to "Copy all messages to the new message memory?" it asked if i want to save original messages, regardless of "yes" or "no" I choose, I get "Unable to move message storage". Please help. Thanks!

Last night I changed where to store my sent messages to the memory card instead of on the phone.After I sent my first message it asked me to remove the memory card and press ok. I thought this was a bit strange but as it wouldn't let me do anything else I did as I was told. I replaced the memory card and it carried on working. Now every so often even if the phones keylocked and nothing running it pops up and asks me to remove the memory card. If I leave it and don't remove the card the message goes away.This might only be slightly annoying but I have had nokias with software faults before and they start off as annoying and then become serious.

How do i transfer messages from the phone memory to the memory card? When i first changed the option to use the memory card to store messages, the option to transfer the messages were there. But the next time i changed the option to use phone memory and back to memory card again, the option wasn't there. Messaging>Options>Settings>Other>Memory in Use

I have to take my Nokia 6120 in to be fixed because it just stopped making any sounds, tones, alarms, and i couldn't hear anyone and they couldn't hear me.Now i want to save some of my text messages to my memory card before I give the guys my phone as they said they'd have to wipe it, but I can't work out how to do it.When I select the message and then say 'move to' i only get the option of 'my folder' which, as far as i can work out, isn't on the external memory card.How can I move messages to the memory card?

I know it doesn't seem to be possible, but I just thought I would see if anyone on here has any ideas..does anyone know any way (on the phone itself or using software) of copying messages on the phone's memory to sim card (or even memory card). i own a 5800 and when i tried to access to the memory card through the file manager it says the card was corrupted. but when i inserted the card in a memory card reader, it works accept that i cant eject it and a pop-up window came out saying an error occured while ejecting the card. it is a 8Gb memory card. i found a solution similar to my situation but is there any other alternative ways that doesn't require me to download huge files?

for something reason, my phone started to be DAMN slow and laggy, when i try to go menu, it takes about 10 seconds to get to menu, and all is laggy in this phone. When going to file manager, seems it doesnt find memory card, even it is inserted.Then when removing memory card, phone works normally and not slow, fast. What is wrong with my 5230, why it doesnt find my memory card and why inserting it makes so slow? I would like to get it work because it has all my music and pictures etc...
