Nokia :: E72 - How Do I Delete The F Secure Firewall
Apr 20, 2010
I have a Nokia E72 that has been supplied with an F-Secure firewall. I do not understand why this has been installed or what purpose it serves on the phone. It seems to make the phone run very slowly and makes it very slow to boot putting up a screen that causes the phone to hang for up to 10 minutes.
I have C6-01 and F-Secure I can't uninstall it from the Application manager, it says "uninstallation failed". get rid of this **bleep**, and note that the hard reset isn't a solution for me.
I got an used E6. It has F-secure installed, I dont wanna use it and tried to uninstall it but cant. When I try to start the application it just says systemerror. In the appliaction manager I have an entry "Mobile Security" and as I have heard there should be another entry "Security Engine" that also is a part of F-secure. But I dont have that - I guess the old owner removed that and that is causing F-secure not be able to uninstall and not able to start it. Have tried to reninstall the firmware for the phone, made a har reset but nothing helps.
I have recently bought a nokia E6 touch and type which has the F-secure anti-virus application and I have activated it now when i want to exit the application it asks me for security code which I don't know which code it is , I tried the phone lock code it did not work so it means it has another specific code.
My N97mini uses the same browser as my E71 but I cannot log in to secure websites. I either get a username error or a password error or both. I cannot find any settings that seem to help. I also have frequent browser crashes although most people say that is related to low RAM. Since I have nothing else running in the background I question that conclusion. The biggest problem is the secure site problem.
I have a Nokia 6301b. I cannot log into any google site (gmail, calendar, google voice), aol, or facebook. I get the error message: "secure connection not available".
why am I unable to log into secure sites using the default nokia browser?Everytime after I have said yes to the do you want to enter a secure site it then just hangs!
I am trying to remove the BES IT Policy on my phone, I purchased the phone on ebay. I tried calling bell and they told me I had to get the person I purchase it from to call, when they calle Bell wouldn't give them any information becuase it was now in my name.
I down loaded the JL_Cmder but when I ran the program all it did was flicker on my screen and I didn't have a chance to choose reset to factory. Any other ideas? I love my blackberry but would love to be able to use my broswer
I recently upgraded my storm 9530 operating system and since then I have not being able to disable my firewall.in the view of this is blocking me from using some app like whatsapp, foursquare, viber and a lot of apps. I have tried uninstalling and installing these apps back but is still not working. When ever I try to disable the firewall the disabled button does not appear..and also when I open whatsapp it tells me java i.o error no working transports.
i downloaded the app ichatr the other day at home it works fine. I tried it at work where i also have wifi but it just searches i let it go for 5min and it never finds anyone. Could my work firewall be blocking a port or something that this app needs?
I have a Bold 9000 that 'used' to be on a BES with Enterprise policies and such. I've gone through the company to remove all policies, and have even gone through the trouble of resetting the handheld using JLcmder.Everything was great been using it for about 6 months. I have finally upgraded to OS 5.0 and tried to install Sirius Radio on it, but get the error that my firewall policy will not allow it?
Checking my firewall, I noticed that it is in fact enabled with a lock beside it.I'm not sure if it was always enabled, but would of suspected that both the reset device settings and the removal of the policies would of done this?In any event, I've gone through the JLcmder and reset the settings. This allows me to disable the firewall. However when I try to restore my apps and data, the firewall setting goes back to being enabled and unlockable. Is there anyway to reset this and be able to restore my old data, apps and such without having my backup enable the firewall?
I've also tried backing up a net new config (after the reset device settings), then loading my old backup and trying to copy over the firewall policy (from the net new config) to no avail. On a side note, has anyone who has upgraded to 5.0 notice that their General Settings under their Security Menu has disappeared?
i have a firewall on my blackberry curve 8310 and i cant get rid of it.i was told that im on a enterprise and have to contact the admin everytime i attempt to use the internet/apps i get a message about IT policy and firewall.i tried disabling the firewall but there is a lock beside it which wont allow me this wasnt my phone, i bought it off of someone and cant get in contact with them how can i remove the IT policy or whatever and get rid of the firewall?
the firewall the have restriction administracion don't let me turn off the block incoming and out text messagehow i can fix that to bring it to easy step
I have a 8530 Blackberry Curve that the firewall security is enabled and locked. I can wipe my Blackberry using JL Commander and get it to go away, but once plug it back into my Blackberry Internet Desktop Software, it locks it again. I have removed the blackberry desktop 3 times now and reinstalled it and still the same problem.I even went as far as doing a regedit and removed all blackberry information in that. I am stumped on this one. All I can figure is there is something in my desktop computer that is putting the security back on. Again, this is a personal blackberry being used on a personal computer.
I know BBSAK allows a factory reset which disables the firewall. My past three BlackBerrys have been new from the store with firewall enabled. This prevents some apps such as Ubertwitter or Qik from working-- it gives an error about the IT policy (even though there is none)
BBSAK disables the firewall yes, but as soon as you reload your backup, the IT policy reloads itself. So my question is, when you load your backup, how do you selectively UNSELECT your previous firewall settings? Which option is it? I don't want to have to manually put everything back again.
If anyone knows how to disable the firewall WITHOUT erasing all my personal stuff, I'd appreciate it. And no this is not a BES phone, there is NO it policy, it was not purchased used, etc etc.
I have had my BB Curve 8900 since Nov 2009 and have it on a 18month contract with Orange. I find the coverage were I live is terrible I am in the B73 postcode, this is Sutton Coldfield in the swest Mest Midlands, this was depite being told by the staff in the Phones 4U shop that the coverage was good, so any tips on this would be greatefully recieved, this however is not my masin gripe. When I first downloaded Ubertwitter it worked fine but now I have the following problem. The application Ubertwitter has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT policy.
My firewall keeps dropping packets from Blackberry on ports 443 and 55604 i.e.TCP packet - Source: 93.186.25.40 - Destination: 82.11.XXX.XXX - [Invalid sequence number received with Reset, dropping packet Src 443 Dst 55604 from WAN] What does Blackberry want.I connect my curve through WiFi at home.
I recently updated my blackberry storm 9530 software to v.5.0.0.328 and since then I have not being able to disable my firewall and is blocking me from using some apps. For example when i try opening whatsapp it tells me "java i.o error no working transports".
