How to update my E71? I tried pressing *#0000# and nothing happens after that, does that mean my software version is up to date?I also have an issue in accessing my Gallary. It takes hell amoutn of time to access my images and videos. Any idea whats the reason for this?

and in NSU v2.5.2 i got (no software available for your device - Please not that your mobile service provider, operator or carrier may not have approved the latest nokia device firmware available........)And on FOTA after downloading and restarting i got (This update is not compatible with your device)
I'm base in Sydney Australia and have just received a msg from Nokia that I can update my firmware for my N900.(firmware version 10.2010.19.)The problem is that I receive a message that I could not update because of: poor-quality ,slow or intermittent internet connection. This could also be because of problems with our servers. Is it that NSU does not support N900 and if so why would Nokia sell a phone and not provide software to update the phone with.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI wanted to intsall Mail For Exchange, and the Nokia E72 NAM doesnt seem to have it when I bought it (unless you can direct me to it). I decided to follow the instructions to install it, but it requires me to update the ovi store. I dont know if this will update the firmware as well, but i heard that the newest firmware (v031.032 i believe) is very buggy, so i want to avoid this until another firmware comes out.Can someone help? if its already on the phone, i just need to know where it is. If its not on the phone, will updating the ovistore affect anything in terms of new firmware or other sorts? The reason i want to install this is to utilize the google calendar so i dont have to keep plugging the e72 into the computer (and possibly damaging the plastic usb cover).

View 9 Replies View Related2 days ago I checked to see if there has been an update on my E72-2 NAM. I checked through my device and also on the "Check for update" on the Nokia site. Both said that there was an update. My present V is 021.024 and the new V is 022.007. Then I read through the postings to see if anyone had tried the new Version. This morning I checked on my device and I was told that there was no update available, but it was still available on the Nokia site.I am a bit scared to attempt an update normally but even more so now.
Does this mean that Nokia has taken the update back because of problems with it?I need some advice on this. My present Version doesn't seem to be giving me any problems, Maybe because I am not a power user.

After update all messages are erased and she had important information there. I read in trouble shooting, that:: What should I do if the automatic restore of my phones content doesnâ work after I did the update to Nokia Belle and I dont see my contacts, calendar, bookmarks, etc.?A: The backup of your phone content is stored under C:Users[username]DocumentsNokia SuiteBackups and includes "Nokia_Belle_Update" in the filename. If the automatic restore doesn't work, you can try to restore your contents manually by opening the "Tools menu" in Nokia Suite and selecting "Restore".
I installed Ovi Suite on Mac and downloaded extra support for C7, but I couldn't restore that information. She never installed Ovi Suite on her PC. My question is: is she installs Ovi Suite for PC on her laptop, will she be able to restore old messages? I recently switched to Belle as well on my Nokia N8, but I'm not that crazy about old messages, so I haven't noticed it. I checked on my phone using Files disk C, but there wasn't any folders with my username.

Over The Air, but there was no clear definition on how to do that, So I want to the other option, Nokia Ovi PC Suite. The download kept failing but it kept resuming when I tried to download the update again. After the download finished Usually you do not need the internet to install something that you already downloaded (Should Always Be Like That!!) So I thought that and while the update was installing Nokia Ovi PC Suite said something about Cannot Connect To Service, Although My Internet was PERFECT! and I tried to turn on my E63 and it would just vibrate and then turn off. I tried reviving it by leaving the battery out for 5 mins ( I also left it out for 6 hours) And when you turn it on Hold the Green Button Call And the 3 and the *. But none of that works, I wanted to send my phone to Nokia Care through Post But you need the IMEI but How can I do that?

i have tried multiple ways of getting it but i am not succeeding.
(1) ovi suite (with phone connected) would only do a country update (new zealand)
(2) ovi store via mobile service tells me i have v.308 but a physical check as per above clearly states i ony have v3.06.
(3) software update on the N8 doesn't recognise a maps update.
(4) i have tried the "updates" in the maps application itself but comes up with "the most recent map is already installed on your phone. no updates available. your map version: 00.02.45.109 release date: 30.11.2011"
how do i get the latest version of Nokia Maps v3.08 for N8 if all sources have failed?
Basically I never get any notification of app updates, not do they update automatically. I have to go into app store regularly, then to updates and thereafter it shows the updates available, and shows the badge on the app store logo (ie red 3 for three new updates).
I've tried logging out of the current apple ID, powering off, on, putting apple ID back, no difference.
Tried turning off automatic updates, powering off, on, putting it back on, no difference (it's currently set in obviously).
Also difficult yo test as each time I need to wait for new updates to be issues to see if it works or not.

I have recently got an E72 from vodafone, who have not yet released their update, yet I really need it due to bugs with mail for exchange and others. I was wondering if anybody could advise me in getting the update from nokia with out having to wait for vodafone uk to release it!

View 13 Replies View RelatedI want to know what ways there are to tell if the maps are updated.Currently I just plug my phone in and check "Nokia Map Loader" on Mac OSX every day to see if there is an update.My phone is always in "on-line mode" will the phone itself tell me? It would be so good if it did because it is such a waste of time every day to check for an update.Or - even better than that is there a set date for when the maps will be updated? E.g. Quarterly? That would be even better! I am in Australia using Ovi maps version 3.03.

View 6 Replies View Related22.007 has been out since forever, and it's basically only the second update since this phone was introduced. Has Nokia forgotten the E72? It sure needs a firmware update:
-Little available memory, applications (especially the browser with a big website) terminate for nothing and "memory full" messages occur very frequently. This is actually the biggest issue.
-The camera application sometimes is quite buggy and even the phone restarts after a photo is taken.
-videos have some lag, especially if you zoom while shooting and using the phone memory doesn't help very much.
-sometimes (especially in the ovi store app) if you start typing in a box the first two letters appear in the opposite order than typed.
-The gallery application can't be terminated using the app manager (by pressing the home button for a couple of seconds) when the app is hidden.
-The trackpad sensitivity could be improved (especially when using it in the browser).
