Motorola Droid Bionic :: Emails Left On Server Or Computer?

Sep 19, 2011

I have Yahoo, Gmail and Road Runner accounts. The problem is that I'd like to leave the emails on the computer but be able to remove some of them from my Bionic after I see them. Is there a way to set up the Bionic so that I can delete them from the phone but leave them on the computer so that I can respond to them later?

As it is now, I am just leaving them on the phone until after I take care of business on the computer...then I go back to the phone and delete them. I'm thinking about K9 as I have heard a lot about it. Not sure if it will be the answer to my prayers or not but I'll check here first.

Jul 18, 2011

If I have one of my IMAP accounts from work setup on my Galaxy s2 WILL a copy of the emails be left by default on the server once "downloaded" by phone. This so I can later go to my Outlook at work and see them also.I am asking this to double check and to be sure. I might be thinking in a POP3 mindset.

I get 4G service where I work. I had my phone laying partially on/off a keyboard for one of my computers at work. I can only recreate this when the phone is in CDMA/LTE recieving 4G service. When the phone is in CDMA only this doesnt happen. Is this normal to expect 4G to intefere with other devises?

Motorola Droid Bionic :: Connecting Desk Dock To USB Of Computer?

Sep 10, 2011

Is anyone else having a problem connecting the phone to the desk dock via USB cable to the computer? When I connect a USB cable directly to the phone from the computer, the phone is charging and the computer recognizes that the phone has been connected and mounts the phone as a drive. If I connect that same USB cable to the desktop dock, then drop the phone in the dock, the phone detects that it's in the dock, but it doesn't charge, and the computer doesn't recognize that anything has been connected. If I plug a wall charger into the desktop dock, then drop the phone in the dock, the phone charges with no problem.this bundle also came with a little desktop charging station, which has just a small slot for the spare battery (also part of this bundle), and two USB ports (one male and one female). If I plug that same USB cable into the small charging station (female USB port) and drop the spare battery in, it starts charging. If at the same time, I plug the male USB port of the charging station into the phone's USB port, the computer recognizes the phone has been attached and also the phone starts charging too.

Motorola Droid Bionic :: Duplicated Playlists On Computer Connection?

Oct 19, 2011

I have Motorola drivers (5.2.0) installed. I previously used Motorola Media Link to transfer my iTunes playlists songs to the phone's removable microSD card weeks ago. At a later time, on two different computers with the drivers installed, when I plug my phone into my computers (to charge only) and later disconnect the phone I've found two copies of each playlist on the phone in the stock music app. One is empty and the other is normal. If I reconnect the phone to the computer and disconnect again I get another empty copy of the playlist.

Motorola Droid Bionic :: Computer Crashes When Connecting Phone Via USB?

Is anyone else having problems with their computer crashing when you connect your phone to the computer via USB cable? This was a pre-existing problem before but it was solved by checking USB debugging (or vice-versa). But after the software upgrade to 4.0.4, I get the blue-screen-of-death and the computer crashes every time no matter which setting I choose for the USB debugging. This makes it almost impossible to transfer files between my computer and phone.

Motorola Droid Razr :: Delete Emails With/withouto Deleting From Server?

Apr 27, 2012

I have a Droid Razr. I love the phone. I use the email application that looks like an envelope with a "@" partially sticking out of it. It all works great, but is there SOME way to delete emails from there without it deleting them from my email server? My email is in gmail; on the desktop at home I read it through Firefox. If I delete ANY messages on the phone, even messages that have been read, they are deleted from my gmail account at home (they are in the trash). I've looked and looked and can't find a setting on the phone that would prevent this.

Motorola Droid Bionic :: Transfer Files To And From Bionic To A Windows 7 PC?

Nov 28, 2011

Does anyone know of any surefire way to transfer files to and from the Bionic to a windows 7 PC?

I have been using Zumocast, but that's only a one way deal. You can stream and download files from PC onto the Bionic, but not vice versa. Also, I tried to download a 1.4 gig mp4 file but it doesn't fully download, and makes my notification area on my Bionic force close and the whole phone just wigs out and requires a reboot. So Zumocast needs to do some updates in order to support large file transfer.

Anyway, I am looking for a way to transfer files from my phone to my computer(s) wirelessly. I don't always have my USB cable around.

Motorola Droid Bionic :: Bionic Apps Cannot Get Data Connection

Nov 17, 2011

Im having the same issue as a lot of other people (so i read). Mine has progressively gotten worse. My data connection shows active (sometimes it doesnt) but I cannot transfer data. After multiple restarts/battery pulls, i have data connection but NO app will transfer data except the web browser and dolphin. Even Gmail will not sync. So i can surf the web, but cant check my gmail app, pageonce, etc, etc. Wifi/bluetooth work fine. MOST of the time I can still text / make calls but not always.

I am hesitant to do a factory reset as the last time i did this, it did not change the problem and i was stuck with nothing because i had no data connection to connect to my google account with (nor wifi, i was on vacation).

Motorola I1 :: Emails Not Getting From Server

May 24, 2011

I have the I1 and have a work email and a gmail account, both worked fine (except the work email wouldn't let me see messages after I looked at them), then all of the sudden, the work email quit downloading. I checked with the server and it was not their fault. so I went to the online work email service and forwarded the emails to a new gmail account which I set up just for work. it worked fine for about a day and then it also stopped working. when I go into email, it just keeps searching, my battery will get hot and then I end up killing the email app.. I deleted both accounts on my phone and just reinstalled the gmail that is forwarded from the server and nothing. really is starting to bug me. both are pop accounts. I am getting my emails just fine on my work computer so I am thinking it is my phone.

Motorola Atrix 4G :: Emails Deleting From Server

Jan 18, 2012

I have always been able to delete emails on my Atrix and still be able to download them on my PC later.I'm using the standard IMAP configuration that sets itself up to AT&T automatically.I have not altered those settings.I've deleted my 2 email accounts on my Atrix and reinstalled them.I can't find any options on my Atrix that allow me to choose to leave messages on the server. On my PC, I'm using Outlook 2007.In the email account configurations, I have checked the box that says "Leave a copy of the message on server".I have uninstalled Outlook and reinstalled it. No change.I also downloaded Mozilla's Thunderbird for email, to see if it also happened using software other than Outlook. It did.

I spent 2 hours on the phone with AT&T tech support yesterday. They hacked into my PC to check all of my email settings and couldn't find a problem. They're telling me it's the phone.I"m telling them it's the server!Every once in a while, a deleted email shows up on the PC, as usual, but it's rare, and only seems to happen in one account.

There were nowhere to be found on the phone, but they were still on the server (as I found out when I got home and connected via my desktop client.)I read a suggestion on a non-Photon specific forum that suggested to make sure the trash folder was set up to be a push synch, so I tried that.ere are my settings for the account:Data Push (not checked, but I've also tried checking this)Fetch schedule: every 15 minutesFolder sync: Trash - background; Inbox - background; deleted (which is an empty folder) - background
