I'm on WP 8.1. I have downloaded all the Here Maps available. How can I copy the maps from my 1520 to my pc as I don't want to download them all again? When I'm connected to the pc, the maps saved on my SD card do not show up. Previously when I was using WP 8.0 or 8.1 Developers Preview (I can't remember which!), I was able to see and save the maps but now I can neither see them or save them.

I have some videos that cannot "copy&paste" from the sdcard they are in, but i still can play them on the phone!!
Already tried:
. copy to the phone memory
. the card on pc sd slot
. usb to pc
i've been downloading the Here maps to what I had thought was my sd card but was in fact my phone's memory. Would I be able to copy or move the maps on to my sd card? The phone's settings>storage sense were all set on sd card except for 'Store news apps' which was set for the phone.

View 17 Replies View RelatedOn my Lumia 1520 (32GB version) I use a 64GB External SD Card for storage of downloaded apps, music, photo's and movies. Recently I downloaded and installed the programms and all the maps for Nokia Here Drive (complete maps of Europe) and CoPilot GSP (with all Europe Maps). I hoped the maps where stored on the SD Card automatically but they are not. I now 'only' have, next to all installed apps, like 2,06GB internal storage space left. I know this could be enough but nonetheless I'm wondering if it is possible to store the maps of both applications on the external SD card rather than on phone storage and if the programms will still work correctly afterwards. On android devices i'm used to that it works like that. The navigation programm is installed on phone memory and the maps are simply stored on the external sd card.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just added a 32GB SD card to my Lumia 1520. I'd like to move some of the items that are on my phone (photos, music, files for work, etc.) onto the card.
Also, I've seen threads on here that mention issues with music that has been moved to the cards not being playable. I have enough issues with my phone giving error messages on the music app now without adding another complication.
I was about to go somewhere and wanted to put a new album on my phone before going. One hour later I have to conclude its impossible, because it wants to copy 600 images to my computer FIRST, even thoguh I never told it to. Synch is on manual, and it has to do this first before synching the music. When I first got the phone, teh worst thing about WP was the synching design, which I knew I hated. On android I could copy the music in 1 min and be off, but now I have to settle with the few sings I put on it. Also I cant even delete the 600 images beofre copying them all to teh computer!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently screwed my phone by placing the phone in window for network coverage during rain. As the rain water spilled over it and few drops got it and brought me some weird issue.
1) Capacitive lights are not working . Only back arrow light didn't work.
2) Mic also not working.
I take it to Nokia care and got it fixed without warranty since it is two year old.And the technician told be that he changed many spare parts and he make use of 1320 spare and got it fixed. And now I feel my phone is getting very hot while charging and warm during normal usage in the top right corner of back side. I don't see heating issue on my other Lumia 1320 and 640 xl
Here are the points....
Only charges when plugged in, slow charging notification pops up.
No new hardware "ding" sound.
No new devices in device manager.
No devices with exclamation mark in device manager.
No unknown or unrecognized devices in device manager.
No devices listed in usb-view
Background : I was on Windows 10 build 10581. Upgraded to 10586. All fine.
Phone showed up and everything. However I wanted to go back to 8.1, so I started up the Windows Device Recovery Tool. It asked for a mandatory update. Updated. It recognized my phone (which was on). Started downloading server side software. I ran out of battery (the laptop), and it shut down. After starting up again, the phone is unrecognizable.
I unintsalled Windows Device Recovery Tool and tried to install again. Error. Several times. Finally after cleaning up everything related to it (RevoUninstaller), I managed to install it again. However, my phone still never is recognized. Uninstalled all Nokia/Microsoft drivers (no luck).
I bought a Lumia 1520.3 from B&H and I cut my sim card down from a micro sim to a nano sim. I know it still works because I put it back in my 920. It says on my 1520.3 says no service in the live tile.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded to cyan 8.1 two days ago... Did a fresh install. I downgraded to Windows 8 and then install cyan. I DID NOT backup my apps, instead I just installed each app one by one.
Only problem i have is that if my phone is charged past 89% it turns off by itself and i have to hit the power button to power it up. (It only turns off by itself if i leave it alone... but when i'm using it, it works fine.)
I have the unlocked 1520 from Latin America. It came with Cyan out of the box and I installed preview for developers and updated. Trouble is, it doesn't say that I have Denim, yet I have the live app folders feature.

I have no access to the pictures on my phone. Neither can I copy any files into it. So Denim has done something to my phone's USB function. I switched computers already and its the same problem. I have hard reset my Icon already twice with the same result.
View 11 Replies View RelatedLittle JPEGs copy OK, but anything more than a few MB either gives an error "a device attached to the system is not functioning" or Windows Explorer hangs (badly).
Selecting all files in the Pictures folder also causes both errors. It's a fresh install of Windows 7 with all the recommended updates.
My phone was running hot, so I decided to shut it down to cool. Instead of shutting down, though, it rebooted. When it was done, I waited a minute, and tried again. Reboot. Again. Reboot. Finally, decided to try a soft reset and that seemed to fix it. This isn't the first time it decided not to shutdown and restarted instead, but first time it did it three times in a row. At least the soft reset worked. 1520 on 8.1 DP -- hoping the "official" rollout takes care of these little issues.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI received a Nokia 1520.3 that was swapped by Nokia service center yesterday. My old model was Nokia RM-938_Ita_Ita_905 which work fine expect white dots; the new model is Nokia RM-938_nam_canada_104.
The first thing I notice is that my new phone doesn't recognize the T-Mobile LTE, in the Setting, the maximum connection speed is only 3G which I used getting LTE. I also exchanged the SIM card in the T-Mobile store, still the same.
Another thing is, cannot update to Windows phone 8.1. I tried Hard reset, soft reset, use the Nokia Recovery Tool... still cannot get windows phone 8.1 update.
I dropped my Lumina 1520 over the weekend and trashed the screen and digitizer. Somewhat of a shock as it was less than a foot drop and I have the screen and the back protected with Ghost Armor. In any event, I have a new 1520 on the way.
My question is this. How do you transfer the device settings to the new phone? I have the option set to back it up to One Drive. I have not been successful finding a way to "restore" or download those settings.
After Cyan Update new pictures, screen shots, podcasts Whats app Pics, etc all getting stored on phone? Even Music purchased went to phone!

View 8 Replies View Relatedso I have an odd problem with a 1520. It's been updated to 8.1 Cyan OTA and everything was fine. I reset it (the usual way in Settings / About / Reset Your Phone) but now any lumia-specific settings are no longer available, so no options for motion data, or glance, etc etc.
Nokia Recovery Tool, I don't have a windows PC, so I can't go down that route.
My phone was working very well since my purchase in November and suddenly after downloading an update for the Realtor app it wont charge! I've uninstalled and it still will not charge. The windows icon actually just started flashing and now the phone is completely dead.
