Sep 21, 2011I am running 2.1 and my phone ringer stopped working a few days. No changes to the phone, or new application, or physical damage. The symptom is incoming calls vibrate, but don't ring. If I check the ringtone by selecting a different tone, it plays Ok. Volume is fine also, set for independent control for incoming volume and phone ring. I have tried power cycling, removing the battery, checking my settings, and calling from different numbers (different ring tones).

BB Torch :: Ringer Arbitrarily Switches Off For Incoming Calls
Apr 1, 2012I removed the battery to restart my BB Torch several times every day, for about the last six weeks, in order for the ringer to function correctly on incoming calls. I have checked and re-checked the Profile settings, without finding anything wrong. It rings correctly for a while, then stops. Very irritating for me as well as for clients who phone me and do not get a response!

Aug 31, 2010I had my Bold 9700 plugged into speakers and listening to Slacker like I have done in the past. Now when I try to make a call or receive a call the "Headset" icon flashes on and off as tho the headset is plugged in when nothing is plugged into the jack. This overrides speakerphone too. So basically I can receive and send a call but it cuts in and out quickly since it thinks the headset is taking over.
Not sure if this is a glitch or if something happened when listening to music. Nothing looks abnormal when I look into the headset port. I was thinking maybe I should update the software to see if its a software or bug.

Jul 3, 2010The in-call and ringer volume on X10 is way too low, I can hardly hear the other party on a call at a shopping centre or food court. This is very frustrating as making a phone call is the most basic function of a phone but X10 fail in this aspect badly. I am sure a firmware upgrade can increase the volume on X10, its just a matter of whether SE will implement it....can everyone who had low in-call and ringer volume problem of your X10 report here?
