Mar 24, 2012After I updated my iphone 3GS it restarted and then my iphone no longer recognized my carrier. It says No Service in the top left corner, and it will not let me activate my iphone. The itunes says that there is no sim card, but the iphone was working fine this morning before I updated it.

May 20, 2012I dont know why but ever since I updated my iphone 3gs 8GB to the new 5.1.1 firmware I am unable to activate it with my AT&T sim card and I know that this Iphone is from AT&T and I recieved it as a graduation present yesterday, so is there any way to fix this please? And I know that other users are having the same problems with the Iphone series after updating to IOS 5.1.1 is there a solution to activating my Iphone 3gs on this firmware?

Mar 25, 2012I recently udated my iphone 3GS to ios5.1 and it went straight in to recovery mode after and i had to restore it, now it wont activate and doesnt recognise the sim anymore. I have tried restoring again. It says to try and connect to itunes and start again, but itunes says there is no sim inserted.

At the Email Account Activation Screen, I am prompted to typen in the passwords for each of my email accounts. When I do this, I get the message "Sorry, unable to continue your session. Apr 23, 2012I recieved a used iPhone 3G for my birthday in December, and today I tried to update to iOS 5.1. Everything on iTunes went smoothly, but when I tried to re-activate my phone, I get the message ''Could not activate iPhone. Your iPhone could not be activated because the activation server is temporarily unavailable. Try connecting your phone to iTunes to activate it, or try again in a few minutes.''
So I waited for a few minutes and then tried again, after a few minutes, I got the exact same result. So i plugged my iPhone into iTunes and it told me there was no SIM card in my phone, but yes, there was a sim card in it. As far as I know my phone has been unlocked, but I read a lot of things about factory unlocks. If my phone was factory unlocked, how do I find out the original carrier?
