I have changed my Apple ID email address on my itunes on my computer and on my ipad, but can't seem to carry this change over to my iphone. Syncing doesn;t do it. So when I try to log into the App store using my phone it won't let me in but won;t offer me a way of changing my appleId.
I'm trying to sync iMessage between my iPhone 4S and iPad (3rd gen., wifi only) and it only syncs up maybe 10% of the time. I have the same Caller ID on my iPhone and iPad, switched my DNS to 8.8.8.8, rebooted both devices, deleted all prior messages. I even used my @me.com email address as the Call ID and both my iPhone and iPad synced messages but only for a few days and then stopped working.
My wife and I have iPhones, and we also have an iPad. She synced her phone with my desktop for the first time, why i have no idea, but she did. The next day, I synced my iphone with the desktop to put some new music on. When it was done, I had all her apps on my phone. Is there anyway to get the computer to recognize different iPhones and iPads on the same iTunes account and not do that? Had the problem with my iPad too. Got all my phone apps on it and had to do some deleting!
i have a 8 gb white 4th gen itouch & i cannot press the apply button or sync buttton in my itunes library & i cannot add any music or apps to my itouch. i can add apps but i have to download it off the itouch itself. and it will not let me drag music to it.
I have an I phone and going to get one for wife and daughter. My apple ID is the one where all our music is located as my wife and daughter use their ipods.  If they get their own apple ID's, I don't believe they can access their purchased music and apps on my apple ID.   If we all use the same apple ID, any unintended consequences.
If say my iPhone 4S Came with iOS 5.0.1, then I updated it to 5.1 and isn't content with it. If I tell Apple and take my phone to the Apple Store, will they be able to downgrade it back to 5.0.1? Or is our only option to jailbreak our phones, download 5.0.1, then unjailbreak our phones?
Over last one month, I have bought at least 4 new USB cables, and within a short period of time, these USB cables just refused to charge anymore, at least no more "lightning" signal on the apple devices indicated. While the condition of these cables are still very new, what could be the issue? I have ensure that my devices have the latest OS updated and yet these charging issues are happening more and more frequently.
My iPhone and my two kids' iPods have stopped connecting to wifi. My husband's phone runs on Android and it is working fine. When it tells me to choose a network it shows a signal, but then says "unable to joing the network".
I have iPhone 5s and iPad mini. Each has its own Apple ID. But, when some one facetime me on one of them, both are ringing. Even one is in London, and one is in Austin. Â
How to fix to have iPad mini rings when facetime to it, or iPhone rings when facetime to iPhone, not both.Â
Info: iPad 2, iOS 7.0.1, It is ipad min, I can not find it i
my iphone was just stolen and i was wondering if it is possible that apple would be able to know if its been being used on another account or if someone else has registered it under a new apple id
I'm thinking of selling my 3GS in order to upgrade to iPhone 4. The only hitch is, I don't want to get stuck without a phone in-between. know if there is a decent supply of devices for walk-in customers at Apple retail stores? I tried calling my local one tonight, but got left on hold. They were probably swamped due to iphone mania.
I need to back up and sync multiple iPhones to a single iMac. Each iPhone has a separate Apple ID and the data from each iPhone needs to be backed up separately from the others. How can I do this without getting all of the contacts, etc. mixed?
My friend and his wife has a tour and a storm they were needing to know if it is possible to sync both devices and use the same calendar for both. then to have the same things syncing to both devices?
I don't understand RIM when it come to their operating system. Look at Apple with their OS5.1. It's used on their iPhone as well as their iPad. I firmly believe that RIM would have a better Blackberry if they would only use one OS across their product line. Any comments?
I have given my old iPhone4 to my son. He is also using a newish hand down laptop from me.I wiped the iPhone and removed iTunes from my old laptop (his now). Then I reinstalled iTunes on (his) handdown laptop and connected the iPhone and then went through the normal start up process. Unfortunately the iPhone still downloads applications I purchased to his iPhone 4. Then when updates are shown on his phone, the iPhone account on the phone shows as mine despite his name being correct in Settings>Store>Apple ID. Is there something in iTunes I need to do to deassociate my details?
There are plenty of instructions out there, but they all vary to a certain degree, so I'd be grateful to hear from someone who has actually done it. Up to now I have been using an app called Smoothsync, but I've had many problems with it.
I think I'll have to go the Google way, but there are so many different instructions that I don't know which to follow, and the last thing I want to do is screw up my contacts database.
The story so far: I bought an accessory in Nov 2011 at an Apple Retail Store. (Philips dual-dock speaker) It started malfunctioning in Mar 2012. (Dock not charging anymore) I brought it to an Apple Store (closer to my place), they were happy to replace it on the spot, except that there was none in stock. So I was advised to go to an other Store (the original one), where they had stock. So far, so good for service. I went to the other store, but there I was told that they could not replace it because I had bought it more than 14 days before, so I had to contact the manufacturer directly! So my questions are:
- What is, if any, the actual policy on non-Apple product repair & replacement?
- Why don't all store follow the same policy?
- Should I just try my luck again with another person, until I strike gold and get it replaced?
I made a purchase for a black bumper and paid $31.60 but when I go to the Apple.com website to check the status of my refund its shows "There is no record of a refund for the receipt number you entered." I tried entering my receipt number plus last 4 of card and I also tried just entering the full CC number as well and get that response for both.
Just wanting to know if anyone has possibly experienced before, wanted to to see if any Macforum members have had this issue and what was the resolution to your issue? Should I just call Apple? Are they giving refunds in store if you take in your receipt?
