I have a new computer and have backed up iPhone and restored it from my computer. However, when I go to sync apps it appears as if it will overwrite my current folder settings. I don't want to have to re-arrange 140 apps into folders again.

I previously had an iPhone 4 and 3Gs at the same time, but since then have sold them. Now when I try to sync my apps to iTunes it says that I can't unless I revert my apps to a previous setting that was used for either my iPhone 3gs or iPhone 4 and my other apps will be deleted.. I only use this computer now, but used to use another computer that was a pc. It is quite unstable so it wouldnt' be very easy to get on it grab my old files that I'm sure aren't complete anyways. All I need to do is take everything from this iPhone and back it up on my Macbook Pro.

I arrange them how I want them on iTunes and then I try to sync it, and the sync process finishes and my apps are thrown about all over the home screen pages, in no particular order. When working with Itunes and the iphone, the apps syncing checkbox is always on and faded, so I can't sync the music library without syncing the apps. I have several apps downloaded from cydia and don't wanna have to download again. Drag and drop is not working, so it also forces to install every app I have on iTunes (deleting non itunes apps) when I just want to install one. I tried changing store accounts, rebooting phone, rebooting computer but no results.

Laptop's have a life of about 3/4 years and unfortuantly mine has 'kicked the bucket'.
