Despite the fact that iMessage is enabled OK and works, there is no option to enable (or disable - no bar at all) Facetime on my new iPhone 4S.
However, on my Ipad, where i have logged in with the same iTunes account (and is not OS5 yet) it works ok and receives call!

About the upcoming devices all featuring touchscreens, how about adding touchscreen enable/disable option ?For example, my company operates gas stations so I work with liquid hydrocarbons (gas, biodiesel, motor oil) and most of the time during the day I use the trackpad for phone calls and work apps like DocsToGo or BBM instead of a touchscreen because of its functionality and well, it won't become a mess if my hands are a little dirty, just like the touchscreen would. But during the night, hanging out with my friends or family, when sharing videos and photos, I'd love it if my BB 9700 running OS6 had a touchscreen (that's why I'd buy a Bold with a touchscreen), so I could have better media playing and internet browsing experience.Also, I've heard smartphone processors render faster when they are not handling touchscreens, so disabling it could give a merely functional experience while working (which is what most working people love about BlackBerry devices) and would save some battery life as well. Still, you could get the full social and media experience(which is what RIM is aiming at too with the upcoming devices) anytime by enabling it again.

If you buy an iPhone in the UAE FaceTime is disabled due to local carrier restrictions. This is understood and it is linked to the serial number of the phone itself but my question is as follows:- If on permanently leaving the UAE you go to a country that the carriers allow FaceTime is it possible to have Apple change the country registration of the iPhone serial number so that reinstalling IOS will allow the FaceTime option?

I know how to enable/disable Siri. And my understanding is that you have to be connected to the internet (either network ex 3G, 4G or WiFi). But my question is do you have to have bluetooth turned on also? When I tried to use Siri on a recent trip it wouldn't work unless I turned on Bluetooth.

I bought an iphone 4s from a retailer, i found out that the iphone 4s was originally came from UAE with a carrier etisalat. so called etisalat and i was informed by the Representive that the facetime was really banned in the country and was remove with the IOS 5.0.1 as defualt but they also verified that the iphone is factory unlocked, then i was advised that all i need to do is to restore the my iphone and i will have my facetime back since it is not banned in this country (Hongkong). so I tried to update my iPhone to iOS 5.1 however facetime setting still missing! check restriction no facetime, check phone setting and theres no facetime activation option. tried to factory reset the phone and choose country and region facetime still not available. So what i did is called apple and i talk to apple care Representative a very rude Agent and loves to Interupt his customers. i was told that whenever i update or restore my iPhone it contact the UAE apple server. and it doesn't make any sense im not in UAE im in Honghong. So i ask the rep. what can we do to make itunes contact hongkong or singapore apple server instead.
