I'm cleaning up all my music in my iphone. I can edit the artst, song, album etc, in itunes when my iphone is plugged in, but it then doesn't appear corrected on my iphone once i'm done. I have synced it after I edit, but still my music on my iphone doesn't get corrected

I recently switched from Apple to Android. I'm using the default music app. I noticed that bands starting with "the" appear with artists starting with "t". In iTunes, there was an option to change the "sort artist name" so that an artist like The Beatles would appear alongside other bands starting with "b", rather than "t". Is there any way I can do this on Android?

On my computer, every music application utilizes the "Album Artist" tag to group and sort artists. This way, multi-artist compilations with an album artist tag of "Various Artists" don't show up as 12-20 artists per album.Unfortunately, on the Sony Xperia Active, the music player doesn't use the Album Artist to sort artists, so I now have hundreds of "albums" of 1 song each from hundreds of individual artists on compilation albums.

I bought a new album a couple days ago and my phone lists the artist as "unknown". I switched my iPhone's settings on iTunes so I can manage my music manually and deleted the album. Then I loaded it again and it still says the artist is unknown. How do I get it to recognize the artist name? All of the information on my iTunes library is correct, it's just the iPhone that won't recognize the artist.

My iphone on latest ios has loads of cool artist pics instead of album art under the artists tab. I like it but some artists pics are missing. I know they have a profile pic so why do they not download / update? Most of them have one but tonight I downloaded a few new songs and the artist pics have not downloaded so in the artist tab it just has an album art. Does it only periodically update? I guess it's a server side issue at apple but whether they fix it is questionable as they are often ignorant or refuse to accept issues. From past experience apple seems to play dumb on these issues at times - so when sonething breaks/glitches (iTunes Match a good example) it tends to stay broken for a long time

Before I updated my phone I was able to edit songs in my library by long tapping them. Now I have no option to modify... I went into File manager but that changes the file name & not what is written in my music library. Updates are supposed to add, not take away good things right?

The song title and album artwork appear just fine, but a lot of my music just shows up as Unkown Artist. It is also showing up on my motoactv.com page as Unkown. I sync my playlists from iTunes. My shuffle can read me the name of the artist for the same songs, and they show up correctly on my iPod touch, and in iTunes. Does anyone else have this problem?

I am using Lumia 1520 with latest build of Windows 10. I have a 128gb sd card and if I play music through my car bluetooth in Honda Accord, none of the album and artist information is showing on the car display. Also, I am not able to use my car volume or music controls to control the music. I even tried using music that is not in sd card. Is this a bug in windows 10 phones?

View 14 Replies View RelatedSo I've been using file properties and windows media player to organise my music library and after the initial struggle of changing from iPhone to Samsung the last 10 months have been a breeze. Last week I decided to play around with some of the album art for albums that were showing up blurred in my lock screen. After changing a lot with Album Art Grabber, none of the current offending files, I checked to see the results and a few were still blurred so I decided to scrap that idea and with too many to pick through I just simply removed all music files and then but everything back to on my phone via drag and drop as per usual. Then I noticed there were around 40 tracks being read as <unknown> artist and a few were the track titles aren't being read also. Everywhere other than on my phone the tracks are correct and perfectly organised. I managed to get this number down to 21 but for the last week I've been having trouble trying to rectify the remaining tracks to no avail.
When things like this happen I wish I had an iPhone still but right now I would just really like to go back to last Sunday and not do what I did.
I've tried a couple of apps to edit tags from the play store but that hasn't worked at all.
I can easily see how to play ONE album by an artist, but not ALL albums by one artist.

This only happens to me with one picture that is a screenshot. Everytime I click edit on it, the phone restarts. I'll try and edit a different screenshot or picture, and I won't have any issues. Ive tried taking a screenshot of the screenshot, and the phone still restarts. Ive tried sending it to someone else and deleting the original copy, and the phone still restarts. No matter what I do to create a different copy, the phone still restarts with this one picture regardless of who takes the screenshot of it and sends it to me.

I need a solution for showing the Artist Image of an Mp3 file on the lock screen!
I have previously succeeded with adding an artist image to an Mp3 file and transferring it to my Lumia 920. The image of the artist shows up in the Music+Videos section.
The problem now is when I go to Settings and Lock Screen options and choose to Show artist when playing music the artist image isn't showing up at locked screen! The screen turns in default grey color.
Is there a known issue with getting the artist and album artwork to show up in xbox music on the 1520.3, or is it just my phone? I thought it was because I put the songs on via usb rather than buying through xbox music, but I transferred them to my wife's icon and they worked as they should.

I import my music from my iTunes over to my Blackberry and when I go to listen to my music on my BB, some of the music files don't have their artist, album artwork or album names. Notice how the artist name isn't showing up on my bb, but on iTunes, all that information is filled out.
