IPhone :: Can't Sync My Calendar / Contacts On 3gs
May 6, 2012
I'm trying to get my calendar / contacts to sync without duplicates on my iPhone and my Mac. When I sync it gets stuck on step 2.. When I de-select contacts and calender everything else syncs. I've backed up / restored iphone / downloaded the latest version [of everything] / turned icloud off and on / reset the sync setting in itunes / spent 5 hours searching for answers and have come up short.. I have 4, sometimes 5 duplicates in the calender and just realised I have 95,000 contacts [mostly with No Name] in my contacts folder.
Just got the iPhone 6 and it's cool and all but my calendar and contacts won't sync with iCloud. Not sure why and I haven't really found a good solution on the web anywhere.
I have iphone with 5.1 and latest version of itunes and use a gmail account. I was using gmail directly to sync mail and calendar but this didn't (or at least I could find a way to) sync my gmail contacts to my phone contacts so i decided to use Exchange. I deleted my gmail account from my phone and added the Exchange account, following all the instructions on many websites like this one [url]. I selected 'ON' for mail, contacts and calendars. When I refresh contacts and calendar on iphone nothing happens. When I go in mail and refresh that it comes up with 'Cannot Get Mail. The connection to the server failed.'. I deleted the account and reset up in case i messed anything up but it's still not working.
I have a new PC and want to sync all my tunes, contacts, calender and notes from my iphone into the new PC.I want to synce the notes and calender with outlook and the contact with windows contacts. Do a need some software to do this?
I am new to the Blackberry game, having used Nokia smartphones mostly.I got a Blackberry Curve 3G 9300 couple of days back. It came with OS 5 pre-installed. I got a BB plan activated with my provider (Airtel - www.airtel.in ) and got it to sync my work email, contacts and calendar using the BIS site. My employer uses Google Apps Premier Edition, so it was a rather painless process.Afterwards, I upgraded the device to OS6. Once the upgrade was complete, my emails started syncing automatically - nothing really needed from my side. But the Calendar and Contacts do not sync any more. I can see that the checkboxes for Calendar and Contacts are enabled both on the BIS site as well as the device, but they simply do not sync.
I have just bought a 6303 classic. It is a nice phone, however, it cannot sync with mac isync for contacts and calendar. This is a very basic feature but I find it simply could not connect to mac isync either via USB or Bluetooth. Anyone from Nokia can help?
I'm not very "techy" so i have trouble uploading my contacts which are on my Gmail account, as well as my calendar, I know there is googa sync for the calendar, but is there another way?
I cannot sync calender or contacts with my desktop software as it is wirelessly syncing. Blackberry tells me a have to disable it, and hives me the instructions to do so - calender-menu-options-turn off wireless sync. But I do not see this under Options. where can I find it? How do i turn it off so i can sync my phone?
I synced a google calendar with my torch but now I am unable to sync my outlook contacts and calendar. The outlook stuff is more important and I would like to remove the Google info but it has set itself as my default service on my device. How to get rid of google?
I swear that as soon as the new Windows 7 Series phones come out, I am smashing the BB Tour.I have had this phone for about 8 months or so. I have a paid MSN email address. I use Outlook on my PC and need Outlook Connector to sync it (Outlook) to my email, contacts, and calendar.(that's a whole different rant there- why do I need special software to use a MS email account when it (Outlook) doesn't need it for gmail, yahoo, or another?)For whatever reason, the Tour will not sync ANYTHING with Outlook. The (**bleep**)Desktop Manager is no help as it doesn't recognize ANYTHING from Outlook- not email, not calendar, not contacts, etc.I am under the impression that somehow Outlook Connector messes things up. Fine. Whatever. I setup a MS Exchange email account and got it up and running, both on the PC and on the phone.Still nothing works. Oh sure my emails come through, but that's it. my contacts list doesn't sync, my calendar has zero events/tasks/appointments on it (it does but the phone doesn't think so). Hell, when I am in the calendar, the ability to wirelessly sync is grayed out. When I installed the DM, I selected the option to use a personal email address and that doesn't work. So I uninstalled and reinstalled and chose a work email address, but of course, no one tells you how to activate the damned phone to do this. And what's more, when the DM starts, it keeps reporting:"Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client."Well guess what? Outlook IS the default email client.Of course, RIM blames Verizon, who blames, MS, who blames the others. We all know how it is.
I am trying to sync my bold 9000 with my calender and contacts in outlook, had success with the calender but contacts don't show up in the address book. The heading in the address book is business-is that my problem or are the contacts located somewhere else.
This error is encountered when ever I have the calander sync turned on. If it turn off the calander sync option then I have no problem with the contacts sync.I have been searching forums for this error and I found 1 that referenced the fact that if I had put any attachments in the Outlook calander such as meeting notes or PDF's that the Blueberry wouldn't sync. Is this true? I have many files attached to calendar dates.
syncing of outlook 2003 with the SGS2.I am using Outlook 2003 and am about to get a SGS2 and need to sync the contacts and calendar is there a way of doing this directly from PC to phone without Google or servers and stuff?
I am considering buying an E63 - I want a phone with a good Qwerty keyboard so entering data and texts is quick and, most importantly, a pretty easy way of keeping the contacts and calendar synced with Outlook, where data entry is even quicker.
1. will the E63 sync directly or indirectly with Outlook and, if so, how?
2. is the E63 keyboard trioublesome or does it keep on performing well over time?
3. does this phone have any software, reliability or other problems?
I am looking to sync my S5 with my outlook 2010 calendar and contacts. Don't care about the email (frankly I don't want to be able to reached at all times for work requests). I think the software that I want to use is Kies. I have a few concerns that I want to clear up before using.
1 - I do not want my phone to overwrite what is on the computer. That would be a disaster. How do I prevent this from happening?
2 - I have many different calendars on my outlook and only want to sync one of them. How can I do this?
3 - What else should I watch out for before syncing. I want to avoid any hiccups if at all possible. Losing the work calendar would result in some mass chaos for a few weeks.
I have added an Exchange account to the Xoom. Guess that kind of account is based on what is called ActiceSync.
Unfortunalety it does not sync calendar and contacts automatically. It only syncs when I reboot the tablet, or when I turn off and on syncing manually in the settings. My provider uses an Open-Xchange server. My Android mobile phone syncs perferctly well with it.
I have a Blackberry Bold 9700.I run Outlook 2010 and Plaxo. How can I get BlackBerry Desktop Manager to sync my contacts and Calendar with either of these applications?
Hi NokiaI have updated my E7-00 to Belle yesterday and now when I'm trying to restore my contacts, calendar and notes from Ovi sync server I'm getting error 'Service activation failed. Try again later.'I've reed in this forum that the exact problem was in August-September 2011, which was solved only in early November by manipulating on Ovi Servers. How can I restore my contacts now? Will be the issue solved and how urgently?
I have a DroidX version 2.2.1 and I use Corporate email. When I type in a new Calendar event into the phone it sync's to Google fine but it does not sync to my Corp Calendar. The same happens for Contacts. Here's what I've found:
1) Phone to Google works 2) Phone to Corp does not work 3) Corp to Phone works 4) Corp to Google does not work
When I first setup the phone, I setup Corp email and Gmail and the sync worked well. Some time later I removed my Corp email account from the phone only to re-add it a couple weeks later. Since then, the sync does not work the way it once did. I have set the phone so that my Corp account is the default account. I receive email on the phone with no issues. I want my Corp Calendar/Contacts to match my phone no matter whether I enter them from the phone, Google or my Corp Desktop.
