IPhone :: Assign The Ringtone To An Alert Text Tone?
May 6, 2012
I purchased a ringtone from itunes. It is in the ringtone section. How I assign it to a text tone? Also, I have alot of itunes I purchased and want to set them as ringtones or assign to my friends. What is the easier way to do this?
This is only the second time this has happened since I got the phone a few weeks back.I have all of my messages set to different specific ringtones. My SMS to one, my MMS to one, my email to one etc. So tonight I rcvd an email and instead of playing the tone it always plays that it is set for (one of the generic preloaded notifier tones)... it played my SMS tone (which is an actual song tone) to alert me to my email.
And NO I didnt recieve a new SMS at the same time. That folder is empty and the only red star alert was on my email envelope. Like I said this is very, very few and far between but why would this happen??I went over every one of my sound/alert settings and they are all the way they should be set for my liking.
I recently bought a ringtone from iTunes for my 4S. The ringtone works as a regular ringtone but will not work as a text ringtone. All the other ringtones I have work as text tones. How do I get this 1 ringtone to work as a text tone?
I see all the default ringtones and the ones i have created myself in the menu for choosing textones but not the ringtones i have purchased from itunes.
Note - these ringtones were purchased before it was possible to buy other tones separately I want to set the "Yoda - Text Message" ringtone as my textone but it does not appear in the menu.
Somehow my iPhone 4s has changed my text alert tone from horn to minuet and when I try to change it back it won't let me, I go into setting and select text tone but its locked and so are the other options - why and how can I change it?
A few days ago, the text message tone mysteriously disappeared from my phone, along with the little envelope that would pop up on my screen to let me know there was a text message. I only know if I have a new message by going into the messaging screen and checking my inbox.
I've got a Nokia 2730 classic. It is set to "Silent" on the display so it vibrates on receiving a text message which is what I want it to do. However it also still bleeps twice. How do I turn off this additional bleep so that "silent" actually means "silent"?!!
I see there are a dozen or so Text Alert Tone options on the S2, but none of them are very loud at full volume. My old Nokia used to make a really loud "dong-dong" whenever a Text arrived, but I'm finding it easy to miss Text arrivals on the S2.
I couldn't find a thread with this specific problem. I have certain contacts that I have specific ringtones for when they call. But I don't want to have a custom text ringer for those people. Whenever I set a custom ringer for those contacts, it automatically changes the text ringer as well. Is there any way to only give them a custom call-tone and leave all text messages as the same tone?
So the 'Normal' profile of my 9700 (Phone) is set up to play ALWAYS simply because it is on my desk in the office, it is not in the holster, and I want to hear when it rings. I also have a ring tone that I downloaded (not the default).I noticed that when the phone is in the holster and it rings, as soon as I take it out from the holster the ring tonne changes from the one I set up to the default AT&T ring tone.
My workgroup will be getting an iPhone to test. Can we assign a certain ring tone to an incoming email if there is a specific word in the email's subject line?
I had bought nokia 5230 recently. I have a problem in setting ring tone and message tone. When i trying to set ringing tone or message alert tone in the Profiles(General) it showing an error message as "Not enough memory to show all ringing tones. only tones in read only memory will be displayed". But my phone memory has 50.1 MB free space and My memory card has 1.2 GB memory space.
I used to have Alert Matrix for my BB and it allowed me to assign specific alerts to email contacts that I had. I could turn it on and off so if I was waiting for an important email it would alert me but things like spam or unimportant mail were silent. It was almost like my phone was a pager because the alert would continue to sound until I acknowledged it. Is this possible on an iphone?
On my Nokia I could create a group of people and assign the same ringtone to that group. How do I do that on my iPhone? I don't have to do it for each person individually. Can I only assign to one person at a time?
I own a BB 8520 (Bought 10 days ago), but got a 2009 make? However, I want to upgrade my BBM software. Is it possible. As of how it is now, no body's display pictures appear. Neither can I set one. Also, how do I assign a tone for each BBM message that comes in?
Is it possible to assign a different messaging tone to each person on my address list? For example if someone sends me a text message it'll make one sound and if another person sends me a different text message it'll make a different sound?
If I get a new text message when my screen is turned off I don't receive an alert tone but if my screen is turned on and I get a message my phone makes a noise. It's been like this for a while now and if I go out anywhere the battery soon wears down as my phone is constantly switched on.
How do i assign a tone to a different tone to an individual contact email on S 6 Edge. I am able to do for all favourites. But if I need to set an alarm kind of tone for say my Boss only then how do i do. I could do it on My blackberry. In the Samsung S6 Edge i am able to do for Phone and Message for a specific contact but not mail.
I only received my Galaxy S2 today so am very new to this, I want to have my own ringtone instead of the ones already set up on phone, on previous phones I've just been able to assign any of my music to ring tone but I cannot seem to that with this
A setting from profiles "Alert for" which is used to vibrate and ring on only particular calls from group. But this setting gives vibrations to all calls no matter from which group the call is.
I Work in a hospital setting and often need to communicate with emergency personnel, the group consists of approx 40-50 people. I would like to assign all these contacts into an immediately accessible text group. I know about enabling groups under the settings tab, but selecting individuals each time is cumbersome and defeats the STAT nature of the messaging.
