IPhone :: Why Won't 4s Send And Receive A Text At The Same Time
May 7, 2012
I've had this problem for a while now, my iPhone 4s is probably around two months old, and it wont send and receive a text at the same time, even my old 3GS did this.
I have a 3.1 Firmware JailBroken by Blackra1n since it was released.2 weeks ago I lost the ability to send and receive text messages, I'll send them and no error shows but the person never receives them and I never receive theirs, NOT a network problem as far as a can tell. I want to restore it but am afraid of losing 3.1 and having to upgrade. THE REASON I want a jailbroken iphone IS for MYWI, sharing my internet connection with others.
I recently unlocked my iPhone 4s 4.11.08 on iOS 5.0.1 on working on a tmobile network. My friend has the iPhone 4s fully updated on AT&T. The problem is that she can send me iMessages and I receive them but when I try to reply it says "not delivered".
I recently discovered that I am not receiving text messages on my iphone 6. I also found out that the text messages I thought that I was sending are not being received by the recipient. I an however successfully sending and receiving iMessages. I purchased the iPhone 6 in August and didn't have any issues sending or receiving texts until about two weeks ago (early November). I have iOS 8.1.1.Â
So far I have tried the following with no results:
-turned phone off and on
-reset network settings
-Removed and reinserted SIM card
-turned imessage off and tried sending texts
-turned on "Send as SMS" in message settingsÂ
None of these troubleshooting efforts have been effective. Something that works?
I replaced 3 iphone 3g's with 3 new iphone 4's on my family plan. 2 of them are working just fine. The other one is unable to send or receive texts or mms. Anyone else having this problem? Or anyone that can suggest how to fix this? I wonder if I might have misstyped in the ime or SSID info on the at&t page incorrectly on that one unit. This is a non jail broken phone. Just a regular 3g.
I have one problem with my AT&T iPhone 4. I send texts to people and they don't receive it. It sends but the person doesn't receive it. This is multiple people on different networks. Sometimes I don't even receive their texts. I did a little research and I learned that it isn't an issue from Apple but rather AT&T. And this has been going on for a few weeks. Should I contact AT&T about this?
I am not able to send message but i am able to recieve messages and i can even send imessage but cant send normal text message. i removed the sim and used it in an other phone and i am able to send message. so its not the problem with the carrier. i also used different sim and i was not able to send message from my iphone with that also. i reset the to factory settings and i still have the problem
Using iPhone 5 with iOS 7.1.1. recently, I am not able to sent text messages with a photo attached. I get NOT DELIVERED. I cannot rec photos as a text either. I have deleted text msgs especially those containing photos, but I still can't send a text with a picture.
when i try to reply to a text and click the send button it just closes down my messages.and when i tap on my apps it just returns to my homescreen.i cant back-up my iphone and i have pictures etc that i dont want to lose through restoring it.
My phone wont let me send or receive text or calls even if there are bars showing in the corner. It is constantly on no service. i have called my service provider (Vodafone) but they said that there shouldnt be an issue with coverage.
My phone will no longer make or receive calls and I can't text after upgrading to iOS 8.1.1. I've tried everything except chucking the phone out the window. I have reset it multiple times, turned it off and back on, reset the network settings, reset all settings, toggled the airplane mode switch, and done a complete factory restoration. What else is there to do? I can't get a new phone for another year.
I Can send i messages to other phones but my daughter can't send or receive them. As far as I know she hasn't changed any settings . Text messages are fine though.
