Any idea if there is a mobile substrate to hide the name while smsing a contact in mobilesms? To be more specific, you go into SMS, u go into a conversation, and the contacts name is on top...anyway to remove that feature?
View 16 RepliesI have tried everything to try and resolve my issues but have not been able to do so.
First, I accidently hid a picture by checking the 'hide' field. Now how do you get it back?! I've had a couple of my friends with the same phone try and figure it out and they havent been able to.Secondly, when I choose a picture to be my wallpaper, it shows in a zoomed in version of the top left corner of the picture. I do recall when I was choosing the picture to set as my wallpaper, that I zoomed in on it before setting it, but used the 'back' key to remove the zoom feature. It appeared ok on the screen but set the wallpaper as the zoomed in picture. Now it doesn't matter which picture I choose, I get on the top left side, zoomed in showing up on my wallpaper. - even though it appears normal before setting it.
all of a sudden my icons lost color. not all of them, but most of them. when i tried to hide icons that i do not use, it would not hide them. and i cannot recharge my phone from the auto. i have tried other autos and different chargers, the electric charger works fine too.

Many of us have no issue with the antenna. I happen to like the iPhone as it is- i don't want to hide a beautiful sculpture with a plastic cover.But Apple has offered me a bumper and I'm taking it. I justify it as I have a proximity sensor that still doesn't work, although a supposed fix is promised.
1) Is there going to be any market for these bumpers after everyone gets one? Will Apple take them back for credit (doubt it).
2) What bumper does one get if one really doesn't want a bumper- or one doesn't want to hide the iPhone? Even the Apple bumper hides the metal antenna, which I think is one of the coolest design features.
I don't like that my AIM shows that I'm on mobile when I use let's say IM+. Is there a way to just make it so my friends think I'm on regular AIM rather than mobile AIM?

I sync photo albums from my HD to my iPhone using iTunes and the albums show fine on the phone,but I can't get rid of the golly darn PhotoLibrary album. I checked the storage of my 16gb iphone 4s, and found out that it has 5.8gb available and used 7.8gb , so that is just about 13.6gb where does other 2.4gb go? It is normal for an iphone to hide 2.4 gb memory for its own consumption? I think its kinda huge.

On the iPad you can hide the keyboard anytime while typing. I cannot see a way to hide the keyboard when typing a mail message. I saw a post saying you close, save, go to your saved messaes and open the message again - too time consuming. There is a fix on the jailbroken site, but I dont want to jailbreak the phone. There must be a way to hide the keyboard in a mail messge. In a text message you can.

I purchased a iphone from malaysia few months back, then I moved to united kingdom. Herhe in UK I can do the setting in the iphone to hide my caller id. settings->Phone->show my caller Id.
When I call local numbers with in UK the reciever of call is not able to see my number "BLOCKED" appears to the caller. however when I call to someone in India then the reciever is able to see my number on the phone.
