I have just purchased an Apple Component AV cable to attach my iphone 4S to my HDTV. Playing back videos I get sound and picture OK. If I try and play back music through the TV I just get a message saying "No Signal Found". Should I be able to replay my music using the Component cable? If not what do I need to be able to play my music back through my HDTV?

View 4 Replies View RelatedFor some inexplicable reason the video out functionality of my iPhone 4 no longer works. I thought it might have been a cable issue at first, but I tested it on an Apple composite cable, an Apple component cable, and an Apple HDMI cable. As you can see, I have spent a lot of money on Apple cable products because I use the phone in both home and educational settings that have very different connection options. Now, the cable seems to allow audio to pass through the analog cables, but the HDMI functionality seems to be completely shut down, both video and audio. To be clear, I have already performed a reset and recovery, which did not correct the problem. The iPhone was running iOS 5.1.1 before the reset as well as after. Interestingly, I tested a current generation iPod running iOS 5.1.1 on the cables and the video out worked, including confirmation that the Netflix app works. This is a sudden and disasterous failure for which I have no explanation. The phone has not been damaged or exposed in any way.

My first 1 was great but the notification icon always stayed on so finally they switched me out and it just seems different the rep said it was by manufacture date but I have not date to find on mine. View 9 Replies View Relatedi have a n95 8gb, which i'm using as a modem to connect to the internet. actually i'm using it right now. he problem is, that when i add a usb extension cable (3m) to extend the cable that came with the phone, the internet connection breaks after a (short) while. especially when downloading large amounts of data, such as when viewing Internet videos. it works for a while, then stops. if i disconnect and reconnect, it works again. for a while.
i am using windows 7 64bit, home premium edition. i have installed the latest drivers and pc suite. the latest ovi suite as well, but i'm not using it and it is not running. i doubt it is a software problem since the problem only seems to occur when i add an extension cable. the reason i add the cable is that i get a much better signal a few metres away from my computer, and thus much higher internet speed. could it be that the higher speed is a problem? that is the only non-hardware problem i can seem to think of at the moment............

I plugged my x10 into my Macbook Pro with Sony Bridge for Mac installed and the touchscreen suddenly stopped working. When I unplugged the cable the touchscreen remained unresponsive but then after a while it became responsive for half a minute before going off again. All this time the phone keeps telling me I've got new email coming through but I don't know where that email is. Now I'm getting texts but I cannot read them.
How can I get my touchscreen to work again? This appears to be a software problem? Can I read or export SMS messages without using the touchscreen?
I would erally need to back up my SMS if I need to wipe the phone but so far have not found a way to do this. I have never updated the system of the phone so I assume it's still in the original factory OS.
That allows you to charge the Razr V3 while using the USB data cable? In other words, such a cable would have to have a 'Y' configuration with two inputs and one output to the phone. On my 1 month old Iphone 4s the sound has stopped working twice now. The first time was for about 3 days and then came back on & this time it has been for about a week. Any sound sampled there is silent. "Change with Buttons" is on, but if you push either button, the little popup comes up normally, but does not display the progressive dots like it usually does. (never seen those dissappear before) 'Lock Sounds' and 'Keyboard Clicks' are both turned on, but do not make sound when used. The phone rings, and voice conversation works normally, but incoming text and email alert chimes do not sound off as usual. Siri sound works fine. Did a power off, no change, did reset (Power and Home held for 10sec), no change. Did Restore from iTunes, then full backup from iCloud, no change.

I have an iPhone 5 and I have recently noticed that my sound is not working for some of the games on it. The first game is called Subway Surfers and there is no sound or music on it whatsoever when there is usually sound effects and music playing. Secondly is a game called Tiny Wings, which has sound effects but no music (there is usually music playing). Lastly, is a game called Jetpack Joyride, again there is sound effects but no music. I had this problem with other games but I deleted them off my phone. Â

View 4 Replies View RelatedEver since the leatest update (5.1) my Iphone's sound doesnt work? when i play music the volume button has disappeared and the keys on the side of the phone only turns the "ringer" up and down. Ive also tried double clicking the home button and swiping to that volume control but the nozzle disapeares when i touch it. The strangest thing is when i but headphones in my volume control all comes back ? Ive reset my phone, turned it off and on and restored it using itunes. What is wrong with it?
