Can anyone tell me, if it is possible to share ical with family members on 2 iphones? I want my wife to be able to see my calender and vice versa. I thought it was possible with iCloud. I have tryed to google a solution, without results. The solution that came up didn't work.
My family (me, wife and 2 daughters) all have iPhones and share a single apple ID. We want to share music, etc. but would like to manage our contacts separately. Right now we all see a collective list of contacts. How do we manage some items like this independently?
My family is currently on T-Mobile. I have an old, beat up T-Mobile G1 that is well beyond its life. I am looking at upgrading to the iPhone 4 on AT&T. We are looking at getting 2 IPhones and 1 'dumb' phone for my mom. Now, I know the minutes are shared by all 3 lines, but what about the data? Texts?
My friend and I share an iCal calendar through iCloud.Until recently, we received email notifications anytime either of us made changes to exisiting calendar events or added new items to the calendar. Does anyone know why these email notifications stopped?
My sent messages cannot be seen by other members in all BB Group chats, but I receive all chats from members ... I can still chat with the same members on one-on-one basis (not in group chat) ...I am using BB 9550 Storm2 with OS v. 5.0.0.607 with BBM ver 5.0.1.41
I've been added to a BBM group of 22 members, but I cannot see any other members but the person that added me (the creator) and myself. It only shows 2 members are in my group. I also only get the messages that the creator has posted in the group. The creator can only see all 22 members. I have deleted the group then asked one of the other members to add me, it still shows only two members being the person that added me and myself.
i upgraded my BB Curve 8520 to 'Sofware Version 5.0 Bundle 1168', and since then i have been unable to chat on my BB Groups.
1) i can only see the person that invite me to the group and later i get an error message saying 'you are currently disconneted with....in this group. would you like to re-invite him/her?'
2) however, when i post a comment, it can be viewed by all the members of the group.
So I just signed up for the 4g upgrade, but was curious if anyone from the beta group could comment on their experience, specifically how long it took. The reason I'm asking is because I leave for vacation on the 8th of October and will be gone for 2 weeks.
Anyway to surpass the 20 members per group limitation...I have to say this is really annoying why is it old androids phone let you have close to unlimited members per group according to your SD card storage, but not for Lumia 900
so I am thinking Nokia should mark this as a play phone not for business usage? I am quite frustrated that I got a new phone but force to use back my 5800 xpress music because most of my contacts transfer over is kinda screw up, and yes I have went to a Nokia care center and all they can reply "is a new software is like that".
My wife and I have brand new iPhone 4's and think the sound from the ear piece is muffled. I can't figure out if there is something wrong or just how it is suppose to be. Any hints. Just doesn't sound right on both our phones.
You guys think it would be possible for forum members to get auto pushed updates once builds become official? This would be a massive perk to being a member of these forums.
I'm trying to get a family plan right now with my friend but my friend lives Ohio and i live in Pennsylvania. If I get a new contract and add a line, is it possible that my friend can pick her iPhone up in her state and I pick my iPhone up in Pennsylvania?
And one more question. In a family plan, does one person have to pay the total bill or is it possible to divide the bill equally?
It seems that the new (4G) IPhone according to the leaked prototypes has a micro SIM card. So the usual upgrade plan for many (wife has a free upgrade, gets the new phone, which is swapped with the spouses current iIhone) does not work as the physical format of the cards is different.
Any idea if AT&T can transfer the SIM and change the phone numbers so that this is working again. Is this why Apple is doing this? While there is an adapter from micro to normal SIM one has to physically cut the normal sim card down (gulp). Don't want to know what AT&T is saying if you go to them and say the card doesn't work since it was cut down.
Since AT&T seems to be ridiculous with this pushing upgrades back business, my 3GS made it so I can't upgrade myself, but I'm going to be using my little brother on the family plan's upgrade. The issue is, I'll be in California for Camp while my whole family will be in Oregon.
I'm just trying to figure out the best way to do this. Can I order it to Camp with his phone number on it, then when I get it, plug it into my computer and just put my phone number in it, and still pay the $199 instead of $399? Is there a better way to do this?
I'm a current AT&T and IPhone 3G user. My contract is expired and I am eligible to upgrade to the new IPhone 4. My friend and I would like to start a family plan together and both get IPhone 4's. Would I still be able to get my $30/month unlimited data if we start a new family plan? Or would I now be reverted to AT&T new data plan?
How exactly does it work? Is it different from the family plan with normal phones. Right now I have an IPhone 3g and my wife has a basic cell phone added onto my plan as an extra line for $9.99. Would this stay the same if we BOTH were to get the new IPhone, and the only thing extra to pay for would be an extra $25 a month for the data plan for her phone? I'm just looking for a break down of how the IPhone family plan works, not sure if there is a combined family data plan or if you pay for each individually. Any info on this would be appreciated, AT&Ts site isn't very clear.
Can anyone provide me with a link to At&t's family plan pricing for the IPhone now that they have the new data plans? I'm trying to figure out whether it will be cheaper for me to get my wife an IPhone or let her keep her crappy phone on another carrier. I can't seem to find it anywhere on At&t's site.
My wife has a FAN IRU discount code from her employer. I was wondering if that code can be used to get a new IPhone under my name? Or does the phone have to be under my wife's name?
I apologize for the constant barrage of IPhone 4 upgrade questions, but here is mine, laid out for my needs. - My dad has himself and 4 other member of our family on a family*Family Plan. - I am the only person in the family with an IPhone. - Everyone is available for an AT&T upgrade, except for me (February 2011).
Here is my question: I would like to get the new iPhone 4 when it comes out. My friend wants to buy my IPhone 3Gs. She is on Verizon. From what I read, I can do family plan upgrade transfers, etc. Could I use her phone to upgrade to an IPhone 4, sell my old phone, have her new IPhone transferred over to my 3G SIM card (I would keep my old number, and she would keep hers), and she would simply put a sim card back into her old phone, with her old number. Essentially, both myself and my mother would like to keep our existing numbers, but I would be using her upgrade for myself. However, I would be willing to change my number if that is the only way it works out. What is the exact process involved with this 'maneuver'?
Me and my fiancée want to get the IPhone 4 but I've been hearing that apple wont sell or activate two IPones to the same family plan. How would I go about preordering? I called apple and At&t and they didn't have a clear answer.
So me and my sister are on a FAN family plan and we both want to upgrade to the IPhone 4. Shes getting a full discount and im only getting an early upgrade discount since i got the 3GS last year. Is it true that I am only allowed one pre order per household from ATT.com? and if so, how can i pre order the other one? can I pre order from apple and still keep my same voice, messaging, and data plan?
We have just moved from MobileMe, where we had a 'Family account' (and we each have our own @me.com email addresses) to iCloud. We share the Cal and Contacts on our iMac. How do we sync to multiple devices - we each have an iPad and an iPhone, but with different accounts set up for mail. Mine syncs OK to Cal and Contacts, but hers doesn't. There must be a way!
I was Testing out the GM build and had a problem with the Family Sharing. I get the followingÂ
"Cannot Start Family Sharing. An account can start or join a Family group twice a year. This account will be able to use Family Sharing again in 293 days."Â
1. how do i reset this as this was something that i didnt cause and i want to take advantage of this feature.Â
I'm on a family plan with 3 people. Father, me, and brother. My father has a crappy black razr from a long time ago, me and my brother both got the 3gs the day it was released. My brother is the primary line on the plan, so he's eligible for the upgrade. My father doesn't care about his phone so he's eligible for an upgrade as well, but since I'm not the primary line and I just got my 3GS, I would have to pay $399. My father said I could go ahead and use his upgrade. Can I go in to Att and use his upgrade without ever activating the phone on his line? Obviously we do not want to have the data plan on his line, and I would like to keep the unlimited data on my account.
Has anyone ordered through the mail before on a family plan? Both my wife and my phones are on my family account. I have a 3GS and she has a 3G. We're both eligible for upgrade pricing with an $18 charge per phone. Can I order both phones online and have them both delivered to me, activate my phone at work and then just set her phone up when we get home that night? Seems like this will all work out fine but I didn't know if I wasn't thinking of something.
I are currently with Verizon, but have given up on waiting for a Verizon IPhone and are going to make the switch. From what I can tell, it looks like since we will be new AT&T customers we will only be able to initially buy 1 IPhone 4. A bit of a problem, since we each want one. We were planning on going to the Apple store to sign up for a family plan (since apparently you can't sign up for a family plan via the Apple website) and reserve the phones.
Would it be possible to sign up for a family plan now, without buying any phones, and then buy two IPhones? Alternatively, is it possible that when we go to reserve we'll just be able to order two phones? Or is it possible to just sign up for two individual plans and then merge them into a family plan? Otherwise we may have a throw down over who get the phone!
Is this possible? I want to go on a family plan with my dad and brother (only dad is with AT&T as of now) and we all want IPhone 4s on launch day, but we live far apart. If we preorder online can we have them shipped to our respective addresses, or can we pick them up at Apple/ATT/whatever stores closer to each of us but still link them to the same family plan? I will be in WI but wanting to port my FL number form Verizon, which is where dad and bro are. Thanks! I've tried searching but I don't think this specific issue has been addressed yet, let me know if it has though!
