I just got my new iPhone 4s & the red dot is always on my voicemail icon on the bottom of my homepage. So I check & I have no messages, yet it never goes away. Is it just a glitch in my new phone?
When I had my S4, if I received a voicemail, there was an icon that popped up that said I have a voicemail and if I clicked on it, would automatically dial my Verizon voicemail number.
Now with my S6, every time I receive a voicemail there is an icon that shows up, but if I click on it, it launches Visual voicemail instead. It asks me to accept or decline as this is a paid function. When I decline, it doesn't seem to make a difference. Each time I receive a voicemail I get the same thing.
I'm trying to get my phone to go to Verizon voicemail and not Visual voicemail when I receive a voicemail.
At 3:06AM every morning I receive a voicemail notification. However,my phone never rings, and there isn't a record of any calls. I have a Sprint Samsung S6, 5.1.1. I use the regular voicemail app and not the visual. The icon will not clear. The only way I can clear it is by going into the Applications Manager and clearing the data from the Phone application running, but it always comes back at the same time. How do I fix this???????
one of the things i like about the S5 is that I can tell at a glance at my home-screen that I have a certain number of unread emails, text messages, Facebook notifications, etc. that is not the case with voice-mails. As far as I can tell there is NO way to get a notification on the home screen via an icon that there is one or more voice-mails waiting for me to retrieve. As I generally keep my phone on vibrate or silent, this is a bit of an issue for me. Am I missing anything?
At one time my Bold 9650 showed an icon in the top of the screen indicating that I have a voicemail. Some time along the way, it is a company phone that they perform global updates and changes, the icon stopped being displayed
I rarely get voicemails on my Torch but found out today that I had 2 from a week ago by holding down 1 & hearing them. Shouldn't there be an Icon or notification alerting me to the fact that I had unheard voicemails? Is there something I have to do to get that to work?
Currently have a Nexus 5 running Android Lollipop and after someone left me a voice message, I have been unable to get rid of the voicemail icon, even though I don't have any messages at the present time. I already tried leaving/deleting a new voice message, icon remains.
I have an LG G4. The voicemail message icon is showing in the upper left hand corner stating I have 2 outstanding messages even though all messages have been reviewed and deleted. I've trieeld everything I can think of including completely shutting down and rebooting the phone....
I have no messages, but the icon stays on. I have contacted motorola agent, they said call sprint. I called sprint and they did a reset and it still remains. I even did a factory reset, but it comes right back.
I can go to manage applications/phone and cleared data, it will then disappear but then reappear within a minute. I googled it and did the send another voicemail and delete it, it still remains and the clear button at the right of the notification bar does not show up for it.
his issue I've had since I've owned the phone. I've never had voicemail activated. I'm deaf. I don't need it.Yet, every day I receive a voicemail notification, with the icon in the top of the screen. Visited Orange UK shop, they confirmed the voicemail was definitely off... but were at a loss to explain why the icon was present.
My husband and I both got the 9700 this past weekend. Mine works great but unfortunately, his voicemail notification does not work. We've tried adding visual voicemail, removing visual voicemail, adding it again, removing it again, resetting to network with Customer Care. My husband doesn't even care about VVM. He just needs regular voicemail notification. And yes, the voicemail works properly and the notification has worked perfectly fine through the years on his 8900, his old 8320, his old Pearl, etc.
Yesterday I called Customer Care and the CSR rep said all we had to do was go to the home screen --> hit menu --> scroll and click on messages --> hit menu --> scroll and click on voicemail setup --> scroll to notifications --> choose ON, then save or done. Sounds simple enough. Unfortunately, when I followed his steps and went to the home screen and hit menu, there is no "messages" in the menu. If I go to the messages icon, I can get to message alerts for all messages but there is no voicemail setup.
I have a E73 Mode TMobile. The mail icon next to the bluetooth icon will not go away. I've deleted all my voicemail, cleared my inbox on SMS to under 15 messages, and Sent is empty.
Software Version 044.008 Custom/Software Version Update 15-Sept-2010 Type RM-658 Latest update 3.27.2011
how to make the voicemail notification icon go away? After checking and deleting all my voicemail, the icon remains in the toolbar. Hitting the Clear button does not work. Rebooting does not work. Turning the phone off and removing the battery and all cards does not work.
My wife and I both have the Razr Maxx. On day one, we attached our Google Voice accounts to our new Verizon accounts. A couple of days ago, a Verizon voicemail notification showed up on my wife's phone, my phone is working fine.
When I click on the notfication icon, it dials *86 and I just get the voicemail greeting from Voice and it allow me to leave a voicemail, which is very strange. The icon "New Voicemail(1)" will not go away. There is no delete option. I tried hitting 7 in call to delete the message. I even tried to force close the app and clear cache. I have searched Google and several phone forums. I even unregistered her Voice and registered it again.
I installed 5.1 without issues but I have noticed what appears to be a bug with voicemail. I had a voicemail left for me, listened to it, and deleted it yet the icon persistently shows up in the notification bar. I also have no voicemails in Google Voice. I can clear it in Settings>Apps but it reappears every time I start the phone. I have rebooted the phone, and cleared the cache partition to no effect.
I've started having a problem with my Moto X (2014) since upgrading to Lollipop (or shortly after). When I received a voicemail I cannot get rid of the notification unless I restart my phone.
I'm using my phone in the UK on the EE 4G network. I'm using Android 5.0 which is the latest update available.
Having read through advice given to others in this and other forums and spoken to Motorola customer support, I've tried the following:
1. Leaving myself an additional message, listening to it, deleting it. The new voicemail notification arrives but does not clear after deleting the message.
2. Rebooting to safe mode which clears the notification on the reboot, but once I have another voicemail the same thing happens again. This rules out one of my third party apps causing the problem.
So on kitkat i had the voicemail icon stuck. i use google voice, and i think this is just a standard verizon voicemail icon. I've checked and there are no new voicemails.
I figured when i upgraded to lollipop it would go away. well guess what, it didn't. so i did a factory reset, and now it's back.
I found that by deleting the data and wiping the cache on one of the 4 phone apps, i'm able to get rid of it, but then when i reset the device it comes back.
I got an iphone 4s in November 2011. Beginning in February, my Visual Voicemail started disappearing from my phone without me deleting it. It has happened 4 times. It does not go into a deleted folder, it is just gone. I started paying attention to the dates of the messages, wondering if it automatically deleted a message after 30 days. But today my messages from April 12 were gone. I can't find anyone else who has this problem! Sprint is my carrier.
I have an iPhone 2G (first iPhone) that was bought in 2007 locked to AT&T. I've recently had it unlocked by AT&T through iTunes. The problem is, it doesn't stay unlocked.1. With the iPhone unlocked, I was using a Meteor sim. Then I changed to an O2 sim. Immediately as I put in the O2 sim, the iPhone locked back up again and required reconnecting to iTunes to unlock again.2. A while later I wanted to use the internet. I went to settings and saw that wifi was off. So I turned it on. The iPhone immediately locked itself back up again, requiring it be reconnected to iTunes to unlock again.
On Saturday I dropped my iPhone 3GS in water. I kept it in rice until yesterday (Monday) and it started working again. The only problem is that it will not hold a charge. When charging, it takes 3-5 minutes for the battery to go up one percent. It also dies very fast. I had 100% battery and thirty minutes later I looked down and it was it 30%.
