I imported about 500 photo's from my iPhone into iPhoto from my holiday, after it finished importing it asked the usual 'Do I want to delete the photo's from the phone now?' so I clicked yes. iPhoto then froze up and I had to force close it. Blackberry - change your defaults to retain any information FOREVER rather than hiding a default deep in the Calendar options set to 60 days which no-one knows about till it is too late - I have lost 4 years of critical project schedules and activities simply because I bought a new phone!! Judging by a couple of other posts on these forums others have also suffered this unwanted 60-day default. It is just so much more logical that the Users make a concious decision to have automatic deletion.

I've read the other threads on this topic. I've installed Piriform Recuva and found the DCIM cache but got no further. The Recuva programme doesn't recognise the phone when it's plugged in to the computer.
When I go to storage on the phone, it says there's no sd card inserted (this is probably right - I remember buying one last year but I don't think I ever put it in since I used so little memory), so I can only assume everything's stored on usb or on the phone itself, but I can't see where the usb is to take it out. The only option available under storage there is 'format usb storage', which I don't want to do.
When I deleted an ap from my Curve 8520 the OS went with it. I loaded the software but now my contact list is gone. Is there a way to recover it?

Some one has deleted all the files in the camera folder in the gallery, i want to restore these deleted files. After hours of digging the internet, i found a lot of applications that doesn't work (almost all of it either require root or require USB Mass storage), and as you know we are only able to connect to the PC using MTP protocol. Rooting the device requires unlocking it which will cause the whole phone to be wiped.
I have two questions:
1) Is there any (REAL) way to recover the deleted files (Images and videos) with the current circumstances (Unrooted, Unlocked, MTP Connection) ?
2) If the answer of question 1 is NO, if i unlocked (and for sure wiped) the phone then rooted it, can i still have the ability to recover these files, i mean how badly the wipping process will affect the internal phone storage?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI plugged my iPhone into my computer, opened it as a camera and, from the iPhone "camera" folder on my computer, I copied all the photos and videos to a folder on my desktop. During the copy I accidentally unplugged my iPhone and got an error message (can't remember what it was). I plugged the iPhone back in, copied the rest of the photos & videos, made sure they were all in the folder on my desktop, then deleted them (again, from the iPhone "camera" folder on my computer).
All the photos and vids transferred fine except one video -- the file shows up but it's 0 KB and nothing plays when I try to open it. Only thing I can think of is the file was corrupted when I unplugged the phone during copy. I checked my computer's recycle bin, and none of the deleted photos or vids were transferred there (or if they were I can't see them).
Is there any way to retrieve this video file?
