Aug 30, 2011Have noticed that my Photon can't seem to hold a WIFI connection. I can be sitting right next to my router, and it will drop the connection and start scanning again. Have noticed the same thing with other wifi connections at work. Also the WIFI connection sometimes goes dormant/gray and won't wake up on its own. The only solution is to turn the wifi connection off/on, or to cycle the power on the router. Not sure if its a setting that kills the connection after a period of inactivity, have looked in the settings but can't seem to find anything. I have had this problem pre and post update, but am frustrated as I've just passed my 30 days to return the phone easily if something is wrong with the phone.

IPhone :: 4s Scans Endlessly For Networks With No Results?
May 29, 2012I received my iPhone 4s from my company at the beginning of April, so it's less than 2 months old. For the past 2 weeks it has been having problems searching and finding a wifi network. I will do the network reset, airplane mode shut off and on, wifi off and on, power off and on, everything and nothing works. It's little wheel just continues to spin and spin and no networks will pop up. I live in a townhome and there are many other wifi networks around that my computer will spot, but the iPhone sees nothing. Not at work, not out shopping, not anywhere.

Dec 3, 2014I send a lot of group texts and the groups vary quite a bit. I have not set up the various combinations of recipients as actual "groups" in iMessage. Let's say I sent a text to Tom, Dick & Harry. Then the next day, I sent a text to Tom & Dick. Then the next day, I sent a text to Tom, Dick, Harry & Jane. If I now go to send a new message to just Tom, his contact now appears fourth on list of contacts when I type "Tom" in the "to" line, behind:

Tom, Dick & Harry
Group
Tom & DickĀ
Group
Tom, Dick, Harry & JaneĀ
It's even worse because in some instances, I've included names like Tom in over a dozen random texts involving many people. It's like iMessage is claiming I want each of those group texts to be saved as an actual "group" or at least saved in the results when I'm typing in someone's name for a new text. I DON'T want that. I may have sent a text once to Tom, Dick, Jane, Mary, Ted, Bob & Homer to meet me by the third base line at Cellular Field but obviously I'll only actually need to use that group once because everyone knows with a group that large, there's only a slim chance everyone will get out of the Cell alive anyway. I just want to send Tom a text, after he lost a bet and had to go to a White Sox game, and I don't want to have to scroll past all the random "Groups" he's been in just to find his contact.

Apr 22, 2012Is there a way to share photos to Facebook after taking them with the iPhone 4s camera? I see options for 1. Email Photo, 2. Message, 3. Assign to Contact, 4. Use as Wallpaper, 5. Tweet, 6. Print.
Is it possible to edit these options, remove "Tweet" and "Send to Facebook"?
Also, when using the "Message" option directly from the photo, the person I text the photo to gets a blank message.

Mar 19, 2012I'm having a problem with both iMessage and SMS since updating my iPhone 4 to IOS 5.1. When texting someone, I receive the audible notification of an incoming text however when I'm in the message thread, the actual message doesn't appear. I can see the unread counter incrementing next to the name (ie. Messages(1)) however to get it to show up I have to back out of the thread and reload.
This occurs on both iMessage and SMS. I've reset iMessage in Settings, rebooted the phone via hard reset to no avail.

IPhone :: Touching A Contact's Address Goes To Maps But "No Results Found"

I'm trying to use the location-based reminders feature. It doesn't recognize my contacts' addresses.
So I've tried figuring out what's wrong with the addresses I've entered: I touch them on the contact details screen, and it switches to the Maps app, and after a quick search tells me "No results found". However the search string (the same address I had in the contact details) is still in the search bar. I just touch "Search" at the bottom, and it finds it straight away!
Now, if I touch this adress pin and "Add to contacts" it puts a usable address in the contact, meaning that _this_ address I can touch and reach the location on Maps just fine. However it does NOT save the house number, so it only locates the middle of the street, which isn't _that_ good for me.
Another try: If I remove the house number from the manually-entered address it also finds the location on the first go, but again: that doesn't allow me to properly set location reminders for my house.
More attempts: Entering a US address (my childhood house) also succeeds in finding a location on the first touch in the contact details, however it gives me the wrong location. Only a second touch on the "Search" button brings me to the right place.
I'm beginning to think that there is some kind of miscommunication between the contact list software and Maps...

Galaxy S6 :: Full Factory Reset But No Results
Apr 24, 2015I did a full factory reset but am not seeing any different results. In fact, I think that my battery drainage is a bit higher than normal. I added all my apps and tweaked the settings last night. It DID tell me that my battery should last over a day and a half (which it never has before) but that is quickly falling today. I can post some screen shots but I really am not sure if it is just the apps and way I use my phone or if the phone is defective...

Oct 22, 2011I had to make a quick post on an odd (to me, at least) experience with my DX2.First of all, since 2.3.4, my phone's operation and stability has been greatly improved; however, transitions between homescreens was still a little rough. Not unusable, but noticeable. Then I saw a post somewhere on this site where the user mentioned that homescreen transitions improved when he installed launcher pro. I had used LP on my former Droid-based phone, but had never bothered to reinstall it when I upgraded. Frankly, I've enjoyed using the Moto UI and learning how to do things the "Droid way" instead of the "LP way." But I've been very pleasantly surprised at how much installing LP has improved my overall UI experience. It's silky smooth, and I swear my live wallpaper is running more smoothly and responsively as well.
