The above screenshots reveal that my phone is rapidly losing battery at a rate of 7.3% per hour. This value is sometimes up to 8% per hour. The split is typically as shown in the first screenshot - "cell standby" and "phone idle" account for circa 50% of the loss.what I get with what I consider to be standby/idle (so not even "normal use") and with best (?) battery saving settings:
WIFI - offGPS - offData - offRoaming - offDisplay Brightness - 0Power save mode - onJuice defender - installed and set to advancedThe only app I have installed apart from the usual "bloatware" is avast (as I prefer this over the pre-installed Mcafee)I also have GPU rendering forced to 2DI have max one background process runningWindow & transition animations - offAndroid version: 4.0.3Baseband version: 8x55A-AAABQOAZM-203028G-70Kernel version: 2.632.9-PERFBuild number: 4.1.A.0.562I have made only a single 2 minute call today, No SMS, No MMS and not used the internet nor played any games. The apps/processes running are shown on the above screenshots. Although I updated my phone using PC Companion to 4.0.3 (ICS), this has made no noticeable difference to battery life as I had the problem already before this. In fact I had hoped it might fix the problem! Apps such avast and juice defender also made no difference (good or bad) to battery life - the output I get from the screenshots are nearly always the same - 7 to 8% battery loss per hour.
I've tried battery recalibration (which I understand is achieved by using phone to 0%, taking out battery for 15 mins, replacing it and charging to 100% whilst off, then starting up phone). Again, nothing.I don't think I can get even "normal use" of 12 or so hours and the phone is most certainly NOT meeting the specified values:Talk time (up to): 7 hoursStandby time (up to): 440 hoursMusic listening time: 36 hours The above would be a dream! (I mean, standby 440 hours? That represents 440/24 = 18 days!
I just bought Xperia Z3+ Dual 5 days ago and has a lot of problems. Battery draining so fast, always hang after 2-3 hours in standby mode and need to hard reset to switch on the phone again (press power button and volume up iin the same time).
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy z3 (NTTDOCOMO)is brand new and working fine but after couple of uses i realize after i charge at night and unplug , in the morning battery is around 78%-80% only things battery gone is for idle and screen(**bleep**). Also yes i already have all saving modes on Since day one and i don't keep data, wifi, nfc or anything on if i don't use them.
Also im missing the download manager app the app that show what you downloaded . Its uninstallable also its running inside Since on apps it isn't disabled. My friends have z3s and they all have it on apps except me ... why?
I have a 32gb 3gs that's under warranty til july 30th 2010. i was wondering if i'm covered under warranty. after a full charge, my phone eats up 50% of the battery while on standby in 5hrs without using it once. i don't have anything running on the phone and since i'm not on a data plan i don't have anything using data updating
View 4 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone gets hot after 15 or so minutes whilst on Skype phone conversation and normal phone conversation and it makes it impossible to talk for longer than that, this has happened for a long time now and my warranty has expired. Also my phone can barely last more than an hour if I use it to download and view my PDF files from my inbox using 3G and a quarter of my battery is drained just from listening to it for an hour.

My m8 is averaging 5% / hour on full stanby. Me not touching phone at all.
I tried reboot. Same. Battery usage shows blinkfeed and android system and android os. No other apps.
Title says it all, I have a VZW S6 on latest update, will post pics below. Why is this happening and how could I fix it? Also i tried Wake lock detector but it is not working for me, says in kitkat needs root but I'm on lollipop with root and still not working.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI love my droid turbo and the battery life is amazing, it could be better however. Going into my battery usage at any given time shows Cell Standby uses about 30% of the battery life. At the time of this writing it was my biggest consumer at 28%.
Screen-21%
Android System-8%
Support & Protection-8%
Android OS-8%
Phone Idle-6%
...and so on and so forth.
At my home the service is a bit spotty so it switches between 3g and 4g but time without a signal is at 0. My brother has an LG G3 so whatever cell tower issues we have at home should be the same. His battery usage is similar to mine except Cell Standby is only at about 2-3% at any given time. All of our settings are similar, we use wifi as much as we can, and both have Verizon and use their Global/LTE/CDMA network.
So a little over a year now I had my LG G3. Its been about a week of not a bit more that I've noticed this. I still have the same apps that I've had before. I deleted all the new ones I installed. I charge it all night before bed. When I wake up its at 100% I can leave it there and it goes down to 90% in like 30 minutes. So of course I tried to restart the phone.
I've been charging the phone more then 4 times a day, that's how fast it has been dying. It gets super super super hot at the stop of the camera, and then of course my phone goes really slow. But it gets so hot you burn yourself. I seriously can't think of another way of why it is dying so fast. I've never had a phone problem like thos before. I've tried installing apps, to clean stuff won't work.
Using z3,why my battery before this if fully charging it will stated can stay until 2days buy now fully charging but It appears only for 14hours only for the battery
View 5 Replies View RelatedIt's not even 20 days that i have started facing battery problem . My s6 battery drains so fast..
Today i did a test. I enabled wifi location bluetooth fullscreen brightness and played game in normal mode .
It lasted only 2 Hours and 30 min..
I recently bought a GS6 and I love everything about the phone....except the battery! This is literally a deciding factor for me vs the iPhone 6.
I know it has a quad HD screen but my battery drains WHEN THE SCREEN IS OFF. My provider (T-Mobile) says one reason could be that I used all my data (T-Mobile just slows down your speeds). This can also mean it's constantly searching for a better signal. Sometimes I don't get reception indoors but usually my reception is good.
Now, I would understand if my battery was dropping IF I had the screen on, but it's not. It's dropping a percent every 2-3 minutes.
My data plan reloads in two days so I can see if it gets better but if not, I will be switching to an iPhone.
My iPhone 4s is losing battery power by about 30% per hour and runs very hot. I have closed down just about everything and it still eats up the battery.

I have tried taking the battery out to reset it and I also closed open apps I am not using but nothing seems to work.My phone has drained its battery 3 times already today and I only charge it when the battery is super low which is usually 1-2 days. I only use the phone for personal use and do not have a lot of apps on it.All this started last night out of the blue. It was fine all day yesterday. It is also constantly timing out. I will type a BBM to someone and every 3 words, I see the little clock ticking Lastly, I noticed while I was talking on it a few minutes ago, it got really hot which I haven't noticed before (I had it plugged in since it's not keeping a charge). Is this related to the recent issues or does this mean my phone is done? I have only had it a year and my husband who uses his way more than I do usually has his for 2 years.I think this info shows in my profile but if not, I am on AT&T, I have the 9800.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI was received a pic from a friend via Whatsapp and shortly after that,I can't open both my Whatsapp and album.I suspect the file containing virus and I scan my phone with pre-installed AVG Antivirus. But,it shows my phone is free from harmful file.I successfully removed the pic via Photo app and then I realise my battery life is draining too fast than before.
View 9 Replies View RelatedLike the title says, will the battery die faster and need a quicker replacement if I keep the phone connected to the charger for long times? What exactly happens when the phone says "battery full, unplug charger to save power" and the white charging indicator goes off? Does the phone software automatically stop the charging process?Laugh, and the world laughs with you. Cry, and the world laughs louder :-)

View 11 Replies View Relatedso today i noticed that my phone while its in charge which is very frequent, battery life is not good, is loosing battery power, thats only if i use the phone heavily, for example the phone was 62% charged and i was playing asphalt 6 for 15 minutes and the battery % dropped to 51%! is this normal, i am using a stock firmware its rather old, but kies doesnt give me any updates.i got 2.3.3 gingerbreadbaseband I9100XXKF1Kernel 2.6.35.7-I9100JPKF2-CL292610 root@DELL102#2i know that im using an old firmware and kernel and i have to update, is the issue that i mentioned a known bug in the earlier firmwares or, do i have a faulty battery, or perhaps its normal and happens to you guys too.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've set up my iP4 as a New phone and did NOT restore from a previous backup. I did a full charge to 100%, reset the data usage and made sure all apps were closed. I put it the phone to sleep (clicked power button) and I went to sleep. I woke up this morning and woke the phone up; 4% was used after 6hrs and 50min of standby time, there was no other usage.
Doing some quick math this would equate to 170.83 hours of standby time assuming a linear relationship; 56.94% of the 300hrs on the spec sheet.
410min/4% = 102.50min/% of standby use
102.5min*100/60 = 170.83 hours
This seems pretty light given the standby time rating. I'm hoping I can get others to perform the same test to get a decent sample of performance, please post your findings.
I have an iPhone 4 and have iOS 5.1.1 and the battery seems to be draining pretty quickly for me. I lose 1% battery on standby about every 20 minutes or so, I don't play many games at all, and have hourly fetch email, and don't have very many notifications
Info:iPhone 4, iOS 5.1.1, About 1 year old
I fully charge my iphone 4s last night after update it to ios 7.1.1. I didn't use it till 1 hour after disconect it and when i check the Use setting it have 29 mins. of use and like 55 mins of standby. The problem is I didn't use it for nothing, so what happen with that 29 minutes? the background update is setting of, so the push email notification. What could be the problem? the battery only last like 5 hours and half in this update.

So recently I have notice that my iphone 4's battery isn't so great. It is jailbroken but I have jailbroken since the first day the hack was released and only a couple of days ago the battery started to drain really fast.I do have winterboard and activator on my iphone.A couple of days ago my iphone would be around 97% or 96% of over night stand by. This is not right at all. Help is fully appreciated.
View 15 Replies View RelatedFor last 2 days now my iPhone hasn't been holding its charge, even in standby mode.
I took screen shots of it earlier and at 5:54am whilst in work the battery was at 82% then it stayed in standby in my pocket until the next screenshot I took and the percentage was falling fast, by 9:28 the percent was at 1.
Does anyone here know if there is anything I can do? I have restored the iPhone and also let the battery charge up to 100% from no charge in it and to no avail!
The phone is only a month and a half old and nothing has changed since the last 2 days so hard to understand why it has started doing this, brightness has always been at 100% so that's not affecting it.

My battery seems to not last a full day even in standby on my IPhone 3g.

I noticed that after I installed the latest IOS 5.1.1 the battery life seems to deteriorated over the course of 1 week use.
The strangest thing happened yesterday. My phone was on %9 battery life and I decided to keep it as I was out and I put it in my pocket. In less than 10 minutes I pulled it out and it was dead, no responce. It actually chewed %9 percent while being on standby. No extras were turned on, bluetooth was off and wifi was off too.
Last night I went to bed and my phone was %53 percent charged and I left it locked next to my bed. I woke up this morning finding my phone completelly dead?
I will monitor it closelly over the next week but I had it for a year and this had never happened. The only common denominator is installing the new IOS.
