I updated the firmware of my iPhone 3GS to iOS 5.1 yesterday. After the update, I noticed that I have lost all of my contacts on the phone, so I plugged it back in to the computer and went with "Restore from backup", which was dated just a few hours prior to updating the firmware.
After it finished restoring, my contacts were all back but half of my apps are missing. I tried redownloading from the App Store as well as syncing from the computer, but the data (game saves, etc) are still missing. How do I get them back?

I just got a new iphone 4s last monday 4-9-12 after my previous one bounced into a pool. Now this morning my alarms woke me up, i cleared my emails, checked facebook, put it to sleep and went to get ready for work. 10 minutes later nothing will turn the phone back on. Tried plugging it into computer, wall, car charger. Have tried at least 30 times with the holding home and sleep simultaneously. both plugged in and not plugged in. phone had 100% battery before it died. but even so i've left it plugged into the computer for an hour, and the wall for an hour and tried again. also tried to pull up itunes and it wont register the phone. tried different usb cords hoping it would be a problem with the cord. nothing works. tried holding home while plugging into computer. The closest apple store is over an hour away and not really wanting to make the trip if I don't have to, but being without your phone?

I was using my iphone 4 today when it just shutoff, I tried turning it back on by using the power button. I tried turning it back on by holding down the sleep button and the main button at the same time for over 30 sec.I had it fully charged but it still wont turn on. I put it on the charger for about an hour and it still wont turn on. I havent had any problems liek this on my iphone before. I havent dropped it, I havent jailbroken it. I have tried DFU.

I was using my iPhone 4 today when I went to the kicthen to get somthing to drink and upon returning to my phone I noticed the screen wouldn't turn on. Now the battery wasn't dead because it had a 80% charge left so it has to be either a OS failure or a hardware failure and when I switched the ringer button back and forth it wouldnt viberate. I tried conecting it to iTunes to do a reset but I can't because the power button is broken (which happened suddenly months ago but didn't fix it, which I regret now) so now I'm stuck with a faulty iPhone and I can't do anything to fix it. I don't have apple care for it either, which I also regret.

I had my phone on charge all night as per usual and i woke up to a white screen. I thought nothing of it as it has done this loads before so i took the battery out and put it back in and it worked. I then went to get a drink and when i returned my phone was off. It wont turn back on no matter what i do. I have tried taking the battery out and putting it back in, i have tried charging it and i have tried leaving the battery out for a while before putting it back in and nothing. I even tried the 4h15m process and it didn't work. I woke up this morning and it still won't do anything.

I ended up with a lot useless email addresses from my yahoo contact list that was cluttering up my phone contacts (actual phone numbers.) I thought I could undo this by turning off the contacts feature in iCloud. Instead, it wiped ALL of my phone number information in contacts, and left me with just the list of my email addresses, which I don't need. I am desperate to recover all those phone numbers!
